    An other bull eyes from FlySky! I remember in the '80/'90 an ACOMS radio 2 channel, AM with long antenna, 8 AA batteries (NiCad with memory problems) in Italy was about 150 $ and it was the entry level. And I don't tell about Futaba, Sanwa and the queen Multiplex for those you had to go to the bank for a robbery...... Ciao!!

    I wish they'd review the Sanwa M17, Fly Sky Noble N4, and N4 Pro... :P Maybe a comparison with the receivers.. seems you can get telemetry like battery voltage, motor heat, etc.. although it seems these tend to be proprietary features that require specific hardware in order to work properly.

  • @xKmotx
    @xKmotx Před rokem +1

    I just bought one, and when testing it out I found the response for the steering was sluggish. I changed servo frequency, I changed servos, still was draggy and glitchy around the neutral point. Although this radio has a lot of programing ability, it also has some drawbacks. I did not like how the main screen would not show the sensor info for attached sensors. I did not like the cheap plastic construction. I understand it's only a $75 radio so I would have accepted that. But the steering issue was unacceptable. For a rock crawler it probably would not matter. But for a faster on road car, or a FE boat, it was not acceptable. So I returned the radio.

Got my 1st GT5 with my Gen8 Axe and Got a second one so I can bring a friend out with another RC from my team if they don't have a driver. Question about the amperage capabilities of receivers in general. Do you or anyone else know how many amps a receiver can supply? Ive never liked the added wiring associated with becs so I've always purchased escs based on how many amps they're able to deliver through the internal Bec. The other day I noticed one of my flysky receivers had a 2 amp marking but I can't find anything in the specs about amps. It would be a shame for me ESC to be capable of 6 amps whilst me receiver was only capable of 2 amps.

    Range test just reduces the transmitting power (dec=decreased) Common on all air radios. You would walk a determined distance from your receiver and see when you loose signal, without having to walk super far. That scales up to full range.

    Little concerned the GT5 says 300-500m as the gp7 I just bought says 300> does it get further with the 2s?

      Also in Aus at LHS this was 200 with can do 2 cars out the box but it's around 39-45 per additional receiver

    Awesome job. I see that it has a speed sensor. I’m really interested how that and the temp works. Wondering if it’s a separate thing we plug in to the receiver.

      Yes, the receiver comes with a separate plug with two prongs.

    The thing with flysky now is its not cheap/reasonable any more, certainly not in the UK. For the difference in cost I would buy higher end brand.

    Does it support spectrum receivers?

  • @levethane
    @levethane Před 2 lety

    Disappointing it comes with a cheapy plastic wheel as standard and it's not compatible with the older (and much cheaper) receivers. I think many people would be happy to pay a bit more for a higher quality feel.
