If your memeing, then I'm a fucking clown 🤡 If your serious, you have the money to buy a new pair of 40-80 dollar shoes very year? You can probably stretch and save on a decent pair of boots. The whole idea is you can use good boots for at least several years. If not, then I'm a clown again. Lastly, you can get decent long lasting boots for under 400. In that price range, value goes up but you don't sacrifice a huge amount of quality.
This is a great if you have a cobbler around. I really would love to see everything built like this again instead of throwing it out and replacing it. 🤙 bring back the blacksmiths and cobblers.
I'm a lineman, once I went bespoke boots, I never went back. I was spending $350 or more every 2 years for an off the shelf Carhartt or Georgia boot, and they were all super uncomfortable for months, and felt bad when you have gaffs on. I spent around $500 for a bespoke pair, and I've had them for 5yrs, still don't need to be repaired, they were comfortable from day 1, and they feel super sturdy with gaff spurs on.
@@CocoKoi321 Bespoke is more valuable because it's made for your own personal feet. iron rangers are kickass but, honestly speaking, bespoke will always be the best for that reason
I bought a pair of sketchers leather work boots three years ago and they are still in great shape and probably the most comfy boots ive worn with memory foam insoles. Yes i wear them daily.
@@jatpack3 no wonder they've lasted so long! You've probably mummified them at this point. Very cool man I'm a commercial plumber. I put the hell out of my clothes and boots. Can't find a pair of pants that can keep up with me but my Danner boots have held as well as I could ask. I don't buy any boots not made in the PNW.
I have a pair of leather flight deck boots from my time in the service that I can't seem to get repaired because there isn't a genuine repair shop around here.
Nicks boots are fantastic. Take a bit of time to break in but after that they are comfy, tough and good looking. Plus it gives us the opportunity to support home grown businesses.
That shirt design is phenomenal bit if you put the design on the back and made it a Pocket Tee with Nick's Handmade on the pocket I would buy one of every color.
it would be great if we had a local cobbler, but wow 6 to 8 months. I have not seen a shoe that last that short of time. I mean sketchers last me years 2 or 3 years or even longer. A hand made boot would probably last me a life time.
It definitely varies on a case by case basis. Someone who works on their feet 12hr a day on an oil rig or pouring concrete will have a much shorter lifespan for their boots than a machine operator)
@@nicksusa Thanks, I have an office job. I am an IT guy for a local ISP. I am on the phone with customers most of the day. I do work on computers that customers bring in as well.
Where do I get mine fitted and made? I am a big guy, so normally I have to choose what fits me at the store. Recently offer the last few years my wife found fireboots for the firedepartment, that lasted much longer. I'm spending about 400 and they last about a year. Which is much longer than 200 or so store bought.
It's a collaboration boot from Nick's and Rose Anvil called the ND3; the swatch on the side is usually on boots for linemen or arborists (it's for protection when climbing poles or trees).
So, I've seen alot about Nick's boots. I have hand crafted dress shoes, watches, suits, etc... For boots I wear Belleville's. My favorite are a pair of cold weather boots with gortex booties inside and steel toes. I'd love to have a similar pair (those are getting old and on in years) but with fitted gortex booties and a side zipper like jump boots. Would you be able to make them?
#4 Handmade boots start at $800 a pair and will usually take about a month or two for them to arrive. (I bet a pair a mass produced boots are sounding pretty good right now)
@@toddbloss Nah man your good. Depending on what your looking at they could start at 800. I was just saying that you don’t have to spend that kind of money to get really good boots
We do both! Our Ready to Ship boots are usually customer returns due to them not liking how their boot fit, and our MTO boots are made to your desired spec and size, but take some time to get made)
I wore a $105 pair of wolverine boots for like 9 years. I don't understand how guys destroy boots in like a year? You either need to stop kicking stuff that will injure you, watch where you're walking, or just get a pair of contacts or glasses so you can see where you're stepping. I wore these boots as a heavy haul trucker and as a landscaper. Sooooo I still don't understand the whole "destroyed after a year" thing. 😂
I understand but not all of us have the 500 to 1000 dollars to spend on hand made boots.

Someday I'll be fortunate enough to own a pair of Nicks boots. Someday🙏🏼
Same hopefully they’re on the list for sure and the fact that you can wear them to work and they’re classy is just killer 👌🏻
second best thing dude

Never got memory foam to work for me, but maybe that’s because I’m over 200 lbs lol

I have red wings. All can be refinished. Harvey had one pair for 8 years but they are on their way out. I wanna try handcrafted boots.
Rose Anvil sent me, keep up the good work lads

Send them to Trenton and Heath!
What you said about boots 👢 I'll agree with you so would my Dad, he was a shoe repairman and sold boots as well. Go Redwings, Lucchese!
I never saw that color on the ND2 maybe I just missed it but hope I get a shot to buy one someday.

Mass produced boots are also made of leather bro, but you got the point
Most are made of pleather 🤷♂️
Most mass produced boots are not made of real leather. And if you find ones that are real leather, it's normally a cheap shaved down leather.
I think those are Weston Kay's.
yep
But most of us can't have boots with laces in them laces are a huge problem and not practical for tedious everyday applications
What do you mean by most of us? Literally no one I know requires no laces.
The price is also kind of diff.
Yeah a 300 dollar pair of red wing cost 270 to refurbish and resole .. stupid
