I just want to give every character that Thomasin McKenzie plays recently a hug. They're not having a good time.
Same
Lol yes
Giving Up and Rejecting God's Will - Marian Friars Minor by Sensus Fidelium.
That was a good one!!! LOL.
@samamaali7579 not enough
Ok it's giving Carol in the darkest way, and I'm on board.
Mate😭
if you're not familiar w ottessa mosfegh's stories, you're in for a ride.
True, if you’re a lesbian I feel like you’re either a Carol lesbian or an Eileen lesbian and I’m definitely an Eileen 😭
ANNE HATHAWAY KISSES WOMAN I AM DEAD
a win for the gays
RIGHT
Relax, this is not the first time a woman kissing a woman being portrayed in a screen geez
@@sugabudwe won fr fr 🥲
@@Dr._Atombut she is anne hathaway🥺
If you put Thomasin McKenzie and Anne Hathaway together in a psychological thriller movie, you have my attention 😎
"She is very smart." **screaming internally** Anne Hathaway is so magnificent!
This is the best trailer I've seen in YEARS. I will see it no matter what, but the fact that it's directed by the guy who did Lady Macbeth makes me more excited for this than any movie I've heard of in a long, long time. AMAZING.
Great Trailer! This is how it's generally done -- you TEASE the audience to come see the movie without giving the whole story away. But then you hope the trailer isn't better than the movie!! Anne Hathaway is fantastic!
This is probably my favorite film of the year. It's beautifully chaotic and delightfully twisted like "Joker" meets "Last Night in Soho". Speaking of which, Thomasin McKenzie transferred that same energy from her performance in "Last NIght in Soho" and became more bolder than before. Anne Hathaway is outstanding as well. The writing, direction, and the music is absolutely remarkable.
where can i stream it for free
@@sofialara297 probably Hulu later this year
It's so boring, honestly
Nah, it was a huge disappointment, the first 30 min was interesting but that's it.
I’ve heard this movie is wild as fuck and if this trailer is an accurate representation of that I’m so in. Also Thomasin McKenzie. ❤
Man.
The chemistry between Thomasin and Anne is EVERYTHING. (Not in a romantic way btw)
Is like they are combining and empowering each other skills as actresses.
They way they flow and interact is PERFECT for a psychological thriller.
ANNE HATHAWAY IS SO CAROL CODED
Saw this two days ago at the Newport Beach Film Festival. It's going to be divisive, but it's my new favorite of the year.
My Lord. The perfect combination of image and sound. Anne Hathaway is a queen
Thomasin McKenzie is really obssessed with blondes.
Lol last night in soho
she’s so real
Giving Up and Rejecting God's Will - Marian Friars Minor by Sensus Fidelium.
LOVED the book. I'm so excited for this
what did you love about it? i didn't really like it.
@@jones2277i didn’t either, just like “my year of rest and relaxation”, the protagonist is such a narcissist I just couldn’t stand her
@@GH-fb9dh yeah. half the book was her sitting around and looking at her dirty fingernails and calling herself bad.
that's realistic for some haha, it's just a look into the life of someone not very likable. Her books are def "unappealing" in a way that I find wildly appealing, at least in MYORARR and Eileen. Death in Her Hands did get a little toooo depressing, even for me, at times, but it was also humorous. All of her stuff has the funny mixed with the dark! @@jones2277
I’ve just started reading it yesterday and I’m 2/5 of the way through. Ottessa has such an incredible way of writing unlikeable protagonists, it’s truly compelling. Pretty much nothing has happened yet, Rebecca hasn’t even shown up, and I’m still truly hooked.
When I read the book I pictured Jessica Chastain as Rebecca. But it looks like Anne Hathaway will do very well in the role. When I pictured Eileen I pictured someone who looks a lot like Thomasin.
Funny you should say that..with Anne and Jessica in a new movie together also.
I just saw that they were starring in a new film together!@@alyssajessie4779
@@alyssajessie4779I saw the trailer and it looks amazing!
This looks great!! Love Thomasin and Anne!!
Eileen is one of my favorite books. Very excited to see this!
I read this book when it came out and when I heard Anne Hathaway was playing Rebecca I was so excited! It’s a perfect match.
chills… i got CHILLS!
This looks stunning 😍
i was shocked and stunned by this film at sundance. absolutely thrilling.
Damn, Anne Hathaway seems to have nailed this role!
Just finished the book (Ottessa’s writing is masterfully compelling) and I’m laughing at everyone excited to see a lesbian thriller. I don’t know if that’s exactly what you’re getting here lol
cant wait to see this, def gonna reread eileen in anticipation
Waited for this almost a whole year. Anne, I've been missing you..
The voices....of cinematic ❤️
Loved the book! Hope they stick close to it at the ending
what did you love about the book? i didn't really like it.
Always up for seeing Thomasin McKenzie!
What else was she in?
@@benisturning30For movies, she was in Jojo Rabbit, Last Night In Soho, Leave No Trace (her most acclaimed movie by far), True History of Kelly Gang, The Justice of Bunny King, Lost Girls, Old, The Changeover, The King, The Power of the Dog, and she was an extra in The Hobbit The Battle of the Five Armies (probably because she's a New Zealand native and The Hobbit films were filmed in New Zealand)
For TV series, she was in Life After Life and Totally Completely Fine
JoJo Rabbit, Last Night in Soho, Old, Leave no Trace.@@benisturning30
The trailer looks like a recut of Carol as a psychological thriller😈 I'm ON BOARD!
i love otessa's work so much I cannot wait for this
Finally some interesting films to get excited about.
How lucky Thomasin, first with Anya now Anne 🔥
Anne Hathaway 🫠🫠🫠🥰🥰🥰🥹🥹🥹 damn...... that kiss! I am obsessed!
finally you release this
The cast is perfect and the acting is absolutely insane. Great movie, I wonder how people who didn't read the book feel about it tho
Looks great, maybe a good book to get me back into reading too 🙃
Looks wonderful!
WOW THAT LOOKS GREAT
This was such a strange, strange novel… will definitely see it in cinematic form.
How are you feeling about the casting of thomasin? Disappointed her appearance doesn’t hold a candle to the grotesque neuroticism pictured in the novel. But oh well
This movie is so good and only 90 mins in and out
I'm sensing *Oscar* nominations in acting categories already 😍😮
I'll have to see it if Thomasin is in it, although she does have a habit of being in bad movies, but also has the habit of saving them with her presence.
She’s amazing regardless of the project. Although a lot of the stuff I’ve seen her in lately was pretty good so where exactly does your point about that “habit” come from?
Which bad movie? Every movies of her has been great.
@@frankreynolds9930True History of the Kelly Gang was a boring and bad movie that she starred in. Lost Girls was also boring and Old is a Shyamalan. I really like Thomasin MacKenzie. She's pretty and I kind of think she's cute, but so far I've only liked Jojo Rabbit and Last Night in Soho.
@eliaswayne8237 She was good in Soho, Leave no trace, Jojo. Doesn't make it habit of bad movies when her total films starred is so less.
@@eliaswayne8237 she didn’t star in Kelly Gang. She was in it, but didn’t star in it
I purchased the book in preparation to see the movie adaption, excited to see how the story plays out.
Me too. I’m currently on chapter 4
Anne Hathaway looks like Carol😍
The book was sooooo good. Can't wait for this.
did they kissed together?
I can't remember exactly. If they did it wasn't more than a quick smooch. @@averyjoy
@@averyjoy in the book, they don't.
Oh! I read the title as "Elaine"...from Seinfeld...she deserves her own movie as well...
i love this already
The fact that we're getting a film adaptation of an Otessa Moshfegh novel that plays UP the homoerotic subtext is going to make me absolutely feral. Is this my roman empire lmaoooo
Can't wait to watch this
Enfim saiu o trailer, gostei muito do livro, estou ansioso para o filme ❤
Vale a pena ler antes?
onde assisto?
I'm in! It has Carol vibes but thriller way...😊
I think the same too :)
Saw it on amc the trailer while waiting for a movie I got hyped for this movie 😅
Loved this film.
reading the book right now😎
This movie was awesome!! Definitely not for the average movie goer but i thought the cast did a phenomenal job and I absolutely loved it
Yep, possible Oscar nominations for best acting on the horizon.
Yesssss finally!!!!

Hello,
it's Wednesday again this week.
It's a typical autumn day in Korea/Seoul.
I wish you good health and good things for the rest of the week.
And always cheering for your beautiful/fascinating activities. ^^
Looks good!
WHEN is it on?I can't wait anymore😢
Thomasin McKenzie has an incrediblly attractive voice
This looks good.
Amazing Trailer ...
Estuvo buenisima :D
Me la vi subtitulads y la voz de Eileen ay
las interpretaciones
It’s like Carol, but a thriller. 😂
A Great Trailer!
I just realized, that guy who plays Eileen's dad is Shea Whigham, the actor who played Chief Dooley in _Marvel's Agent Carter._
This is how to make a trailer!
Anne was born for that role
Very intriguing
I swear that I've seen a movie just like this on Netflix like a year ago.
What was the name of it?

I guess it's time for a reread :D
Thomasin McKenzie is so underrated.
Finalmente, valió la espera.
Y dónde se estrenará?
AHHHH MY FAV BOOK IS GETTING A MOVIE
Hathaway is choosing more gritty deep stuff to get into, good on her.
Queen Anne Hathaway forever! 👑🌟⭐️💛💛💛💛⭐️🌟👑
McKenzie is so moshfegh core lol. movie looks okay I'm glad a wider audience will see thee story
immaculate vibes
Anne Hathaway is the most beautiful actress out there period
I like it ! 🔝🎬
Eileen is terrifying. It is based on a book by Ottessa Moshfegh. This ‘love story’ between our main protagonists is far twisted. It’s honestly f*cking amazing to see some real chemistry between two actors playing as lovers in this.
"chemistry btween two actors playing lovers?" Two women? That's absolutely immoral. What's wrong with you?
@@hlmitchelhave you literally ever heard of gay people

Welcome to the generation/era of including a trailer of a trailer in the beginning of the trailer
Well...Annie Hathaway just took a sharp left turn. Did not see that coming. Wicked sharp.
This movie have a little of the movie CAROL, i love the actress Anne and Thomasin be a great duo in this film, i just waiting the premiere of the movie in Argentina our others places
Why did I think this movie was already out??? I was looking at it on IMDb months ago thinking it'd been released as an indie film or something a while ago. I thought this was an old trailer until I saw that it'd been released 27 minutes ago lmao
It premiered at Sundance Film Festival earlier this year
Love the movie, but didn't understand the end, can someone explain?
God bless neon
it’s giving… Carol meets Simple Favor
I’ve no fucking clue what I just watched but it looks amazing.
