casting with an inner core. 50 cal air rifle build update

made the inner core for the air passage in the brass block. test different ratios of silica sand to sodium silicate. light behind me made video dark.
when melting the brass welded bass to my tongs ... that was stupid.

thats really cool. (the sodium silicate and sand) is it strong enough to build a cup out of to drink from or make a bowl?? or is it too water sensitive to hold water.

it is hard as sand stone will crumb when rubbed hard
