Compilation of the best trick plays in the history of American Football. I hope you all enjoy, I do not own any of the content, no copyright infringement intended.
Trick plays generally have a much lower rate of success in the NFL because NFL defenses are more experienced and disciplined. In lower levels, everyone is less experienced, but the offense has practiced that trick play and knows what to do.
Just bought a nice set of headphones. Had them 4 days now. Your outtro music is the first real proof that I didn't waste my money. I think that bass tone grew hair on my chest! Wow!
man!! these plays made me smile. when i see this level of innovation and out of the box thinking, it makes me believe these men and their coaches trust each other and know how to have fun playing the game. i'd love to see a few of these from time to time out of my team. thanks for sharing these!
The NFL really should run plays like that one where they pass it to a guy on a hook route and he naturally laterals it to someone just behind him or off to the side. Laterals are underrated 👌🏻 You could get good at them if they practiced them
Half their blockers are turned around. All it takes is one guy running full tilt into that mob and someones got a torn acl. Not only that but all it takes is a good callout from the defense and their fucked.
Gosh, that era from 2005-2010... I never ever missed a single game and NEVER got sick of hearing the announcers scream "Touchdown Pittsburgh!" I was blessed to live that era during my 20s and actually get to go to some of those games in person... and of course rage out like a rock star at two amazing super-bowl parties. Those years 2005 - 2010 were a great time to be in Pittsburgh. Steelers take Lombardi's in 05 and 08 and then as soon as the Steelers started to lose steam in 2009, BAM! Sid Crosby and Evgeni Malkin were just coming into their own and snag a Stanley Cup win. Glorious times.
You know it’s a trick play when even the cameraman has no idea what’s going on lmao. OR You know it’s a trick play when even the refs have no idea what’s going on lmao.
I remember a high school game where they ran an option play with the QB. He faked a handoff to the running back and then took off with the ball down field. The refs whistled the play down when the running back was tackled, meanwhile the QB was half way down the field with the ball. They ended up having to re-do the play.
The play itself is overated. Most of these other plays in the video were more impressive and there were plenty of other normal moments in college football that were even better. Boise State just happened to be huge underdogs that won a great game. I would rate the entire game more impressive on a top 10 list more than the play.
I didn’t realize how much I would miss Tom Brady playing in NE. I knew it was history in the making but it’s not the same seeing him in TB. Especially when Edelman was at the top of his game.
I remember the Fumblerooski with Nebraska on Miami. Unfortunately, Miami still won the game and the national title. Also, you can add the Philly-Philly from Super Bowl 52 and the trick play the Dolphins pulled on the Eagles this past Sunday.
The 2007 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl really was one of the best college football games in history. Nobody even gave Boise a chance against Adrian Peterson and the Sooners but thanks to the trickery by Chris Peterson, Cinderella's team took down the giant
I like how sometimes it doesn't make any difference it was a trick it was just well executed play like Big Ben's TD against Dallas, CB was still playing just a great throw and catch
Were happy that we got lucky enough to beat such a legendary school but the fact that we couldnt use our own playbook to win is not very satisfying, a win is a win i guess no matter how low we had to go to get it
ahhh yes, i have fond memories of my dad teaching me as a young child to play dead, oh we had so much fun, he would get drunk, point his .45 at me, pull the trigger and go BANG! and id fall over and stay still for hours and hours while he pounded down a case of Molson..oh those were good times...i wonder when hes gonna be back from the LC? its been like 20 years, he must have got lost on the backroads again
They should use the lateral all game. My friend's laugh at me when I say that. But you practice it. Of course the other teams gonna have to watch for it, and that's what you want. It would open holes and options. U would have more fumbles, you just got to get good at knowing when to keep it.
I really wish there were way more plays like these in the NFL and even college football, it makes the game so much more entertaining
bet you're liking the 2018 NFL season, been a bunch of them this year
So do I. Really annoying...
Trick plays generally have a much lower rate of success in the NFL because NFL defenses are more experienced and disciplined. In lower levels, everyone is less experienced, but the offense has practiced that trick play and knows what to do.
Dido
You should be a Boilermaker then. At the very least a Jeff Brohm fan. He loves the gadget plays...as he calls them.
"That's like when you have your young child and you teach him to play dead!"
Wat?

Fr lmao, a child isn't a dog 😂 also I'm the 420th like WOOO
Nebraska's Fumbleruski is one of my altime favorite plays. It takes great trust in your center and guard to run it.
It used to be much easier to hide the ball back when the resolution was a lot worse
And it’s so much easier to get a first down now that the yellow line is on the field.
I still think the biggest trick play of all time was the Seahawks not running the ball
Jackson mitchell yeah ikr
Hahagagahaha lol
Jackson mitchell hahahaha😂
agreed
Agreed! That’s the type of plays that make you questioned the integrity of your coach.
3:00 the camera man was confused af
That play was definitely an accident. Good eye by the lineman though to pick up on it so fast.
I’m a Miami hurricanes fan that’s the team who was in the orange we ended up winning that game that was the national chapionship.
@@MoneyManHolmes That was a designed play, its called the fumblerooskie They have since made that play illegal.
@@coyoteken1000 really?
zaqary quenneville mane😂😂
Randy Moss was a pleasure to watch him play, great receiver.
Just bought a nice set of headphones. Had them 4 days now. Your outtro music is the first real proof that I didn't waste my money. I think that bass tone grew hair on my chest! Wow!
9:22 "You can't spell 'Presbyterian' without 'tricky'... Alright, well, you can, but you get the point!"
That's pretty good
Mike Taveras lol that's my college. imma use that line
Mike Taveras lol

Lmao relatable
Same but sometimes I watch Football
You guys are watching football... 😂🤣
That Boise State vs OU game was the first game I got into as an OU fan. It was disappointing, but it was SUCH a good game and I've been hooked since
Glad to see those two epic plays from Boise State. The 2007 Fiesta Bowl was the greatest college football game ever played.
man!! these plays made me smile. when i see this level of innovation and out of the box thinking, it makes me believe these men and their coaches trust each other and know how to have fun playing the game. i'd love to see a few of these from time to time out of my team. thanks for sharing these!
I bet half of these views are highschool football coaches
always slumped 😂😂😂
Ay bro no joke we found out later that our high school football coach was grabbing plays from madden
@@bigtytybigr hahahaha that is amazing
geene smith ya for you that sounds amazing, but our best record while I was there was 4:6, we did not find it so amusing
Yep

When I played football we learned that play and I really thought he thought of the name and play by himself

Sub for putting thumbnail at start of the video! You are a badass
Haha thanks man
Transcend Freerunning agreed
You have no idea how pleasing that was.
That school is by my house and they are so good every year
Yes this is the first time I’ve seen the thumbnail be the first video in the compilation. Everyone always puts it somewhere in the middle.
Thank god for HD because some of that footage was pretty close to how it looked back in the day.
6:02 “That’s like when you have a young child...& you teach em to play dead”.....oook😂💀
Kerry Dunbar dude imagine copying a comment from 2 years ago... smh loser
Play Sharp how was I suppose to see your comment from two years ago bitch
@@nicholaswaller111 Because your comment was so original lol. Its literally a quote from the video.
@@nicholaswaller111 And you admit to coming back to videos to check on how your comments are doing I'm dead
Play Sharp bruh just got roasted
6:02 "Thats like your young child & you teach them to play dead."
WHAT? Who teaches their kid to play dead?
Matt D me
It worked for Leo vs the bear... For a while, at least.
Doesn't everyone? Seems perfectly normal to me...
I thought the same thing! XD
wtf
Randy Moss. What a true legend.
I don’t even like football but I love watching this video!😂
9:33 how tf do you even pull that off? That bounce of the turf was impeccable
Abdulia Saryoung yeah I know you have to throw the ball at the perfect angle to bounce it off the turf right to the man
practice
Could go very very wrong
imagine the second receiver drops it😂
Abdulia Saryoung magic
6:50 why dont we see this more often? Its ingenious
LongLive Gaming it’s dangerous
How can that be dangerous?
Half their blockers are turned around. All it takes is one guy running full tilt into that mob and someones got a torn acl. Not only that but all it takes is a good callout from the defense and their fucked.
They are wasting time instead of gaining yards. In higher level games the kicking teams would be right there plowing thru that huddle.
College players and up are too fast on special teams
Good stuff ...thanks for posting

refs these days never have any idea whats going on no matter what😂😂😂😂
Carson G. I guess it’s always a trick play bc the refs never know what’s going on they just throw flags :))

1:28 tricked me lol
Can we just talk about how ready Boise State was for that Fiesta Bowl that they definitely weren’t supposed to win
Oh but they earned that W! GO BRONCOS!!!
About like when my Gators played Ohio State for the Natty. No one expected us to win that game. I think even Vegas had us at 12 or 13 point underdogs
Okay. Let's talk.
1. They WERE picked to win
2. If it wasn't for BSU's QB throwing the game it wouldn't have even been close
*Mic drop*
I’m just surprised BSU came up three times in this video.. lol BSU is some tricky dudes. Lol go blue!
to this day I regret not staying up and watching that game
These are some beautiful plays
“Tostitos Fiesta Bowl” sounds so prestigious
However,,, That game is in the all time top 10 FBS games.
@@ldalestucker Did a reporter botch the proposal of a player to cheerleader?

When that game happened it was one of the top 4 bowl games college teams could play then.
acting like you're receiving the punt on one side, when it's actually drifting to the other in that STL vs SEA game was HILARIOUS to watch live
Thumbnail was actually right for once and it was the first video nice. 😎
The old clips are awesome. Tony Nathan!
The Boise State Statue of Liberty to win the game is still probably my favorite college football play of all time
agree james ford
That was the greatest college football game ever.
@@therealtampadude9175 Totally Agree

Anyone else notice that's not Michigan state vs. notre dame michigan's play clock ran out?
Bear Does Madden829
Yeah, either way salty Brian Kelly is too perfect.
Ofc, there is a play clock. But there is always a slight delay since the ref has to look at the clock and the snap.
Yea
Yeah I realized
Bear Does Madden829 yes that is stupid
I saw half of those plays live! Great video... My favorite is LITTLE GIANTS when MSU ran the fake fg in OT to beat ND
I wish these trick plays were more frequently employed. Football can be so inventive.
So happy the pic of the video was the first highlight
that Tostitos fiesta bowl game was the greatest college football game I ever saw
Football ,this not football
This is one of the best videos Ive ever seen on CZcams! Awesome! You even had my Huskers in there!
I didn’t realize how much I would miss Tom Brady playing in NE. I knew it was history in the making but it’s not the same seeing him in TB. Especially when Edelman was at the top of his game.
Probably wanted Belichick to earn the 7th Superbowl win on his own, especially when his boat is named 7 Rings. Kept them tied with Pittsburgh.
U know they’re good trick plays when the trick you while ur watching it
That high school one at about 7:00 was nasty
that shit had me dying XD

@4:55 *"This is the play called Hide the midget"... and all this time I thought hide the midget was a totally different game!*
The 2007 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl really was one of the best college football games in history. Nobody even gave Boise a chance against Adrian Peterson and the Sooners but thanks to the trickery by Chris Peterson, Cinderella's team took down the giant
1:25 That behind-the-back punting play was pretty shweet!
One of the best commercials ever preceded the trick plays.
Love the sportsmanship in the clip of western kentucky and memphis
I love how russel Wilson always extends the ball before downing to make sure that he gets maximum yards he can
Maybe he'll do it on the Broncos too
I like how sometimes it doesn't make any difference it was a trick it was just well executed play like Big Ben's TD against Dallas, CB was still playing just a great throw and catch
that next to last play brought "you got Mossed" into the lexicon lol!
Perfect ending to this compilation with Boise State 👌🏼

@@sempybandz Everyone knows they didn't but they pulled it off better than any team in football history

*4:56** hide the midget lmfaoooooooooooooo wtf????*
Hide that midget
The only one I saw live was the Boise st. lateral. Still get goosebumps.
The NFL needs more designed lateral plays. Spice things up! Maybe the rules could be tweaked to encourage it.
0:03 There was a team in my league that came out of the huddle with this formation every time
We were all blessed to have watched that Boise St vs Oklahoma game
Thank you for including the Husker’s Fumblerooski.
It’s the annexation of Puerto Rico.
@ 02:09 the golden years of football. This is the NFL I loved more than today. Mythological heros and games!!
It’s just really nice to finally click on a thumbnail and actually get the video you wanted to see. No clickbait is refreshing
8:19 will always be my favorite trick play ever. I remember watching it live and absolutely losing my mind
I didn’t see anything
The hide the ball behind the back plays, and the daring fumblerooski by Nebraska!
Still none as amazing as the colts trick punt on new england.... AMAZING
Boise State destroyed OU with the trick plays in that game
Destroyed by one score at the last second
Destroyed by getting 2 TD's and a 2 point conversion on 3 trick playes.
Were happy that we got lucky enough to beat such a legendary school but the fact that we couldnt use our own playbook to win is not very satisfying, a win is a win i guess no matter how low we had to go to get it

I remember watching that boise st oklahoma game live, such an amazing game overall. Also that msu fake fg shoulda been a delay of game.

It's one of the best tricks in NFL history
I just noticed some of these plays were so good even the camera guy got lost
Boy that was fun to watch!
i was at that philly @ seatle game. it was amazing
6:27 I was at the game and I thought we won! Top left corner is where I was sitting
Yeah, that was an awesome fake spike, and against Dallas, too!
As someone from AZ, Chandler has a really good football team
Came what I clicked for, the football players in a line doing a play. Thanks
6:02 announcer: "That's like when you have your young child, and you teach him to play dead." Say what?
A lateral isn't a trick play, it's an improvised play.
PigsCanFly The hook and ladder is considered a trick play.
that's literally the exact same thing
PigsCanFly All the hook-and-ladder plays in this video are planned except Randy Moss'.
PigsCanFly Actually a hook and ladder is a specific designed lateral play. Look it up, it's a trick play.
PigsCanFly it's called hook and ladder. do your research
Love this
These plays blew my noggin!
1:28 tricked me lol
1:15 this spinning one hand catch is incredible.
Fumblerooski..an all time classic.
O_O O GOD THATS AMAZING!
2:56 The whole right side line looks like they're lined up in the backfield.
Trick plays are often a gimmick and a last resort. But when they work, as the examples in this video demonstrate, they are a beauty to behold.
Very cool, thank you!!
Love Don Criqui's voice at 3:00 min mark. And a great play to boot.
Boise State plays vs ou were amazing and awesome
I really love your channel
Feeling some nostalgia watching games played on real grass.
“Hide the midget” hahah the 90’s and 2k’s... miss those years lol

I was at the BSU OU game. We had to watch highlights at home after the game to understand what actually happened on those trick plays.
