As an American I was really touched by your tribute to Dr Martin Luther King; American MSM just ignored him, really, after he became an anti Vietnam War protester.
My ex-husband was a black Marine who served in Vietnam, the very person Doctor King was talking about when he became an anti Vietnam War protester. My ex-husband had horrible nightmares about serving there and what happened there.
I am a white woman who had children with my ex-husband.
I now live in Detroit Michigan; talk about racial disparity.
Coming from Minnesota it was like walking into the 1950s as a white person in a black community; I didn't know any better.
In Minnesota there really isn't white and black communities.
I was shocked. After 14 years in my house on my street with my black neighbors, who accept my daughter, my granddaughter and I because we are considered as just people; which is what Dr King wanted whites and blacks to be people, not white and black.
As a side item, Dr. King did not want to be not my brother-in-law or his wife be my sister-in-law.

Corbyn is an honest man, a rare breed these days. He will always speak the truth even knowing the dire consequences of his actions but he is a fearless man. I respect Lord Sugar as a self made man, but he is 100% wrong about Corbyn... he would make a great leader!
Corbyn and his followers are hostile to business. If he got into power, jobs would disappear, the pound would tank and the country would go back to the days of Old Labour, when this country was the 'poor man' of Europe. We are currently the 'rich man' of Europe.
Corbyn, doesn’t particularly like entrepreneurship or corporations, either. You need to encourage those things in society, for it to grow & to support such, budding business tycoons too, like the Japanese did & still do.

You're other commentaries, I have found amusing. But on this one you go off the rails. Your interpretation of MLK's role and the condition of American race relations today is a strange exaggeration to say the least. To say race relations are worse today than in the 1960s, is ludicrous. I remember well the bigotry of 60s and the civil rights issues that were so much a part of those turbulent times. MLK was only one of the important voices for nonviolence. He spoke in the style of hundreds of Baptist preachers. His murder made him a martyr to the cause and forever enshrined his historical importance far beyond what it would have been without his death. MLK I think would be appalled at the self destructive tendencies and dishonesty of certain elements of the black community.
I am not as familiar with domestic British affairs, so I have no comment for those issues.
