He knows because he saw someone die of it???? They established exactly what it was that killed him and it was a tiny portion of one that was bred in a Russian factory. Only months before the Russian Duomo voted to treat any person who did not comply with their dictate to serious consequences (assination) and that would have to be approved by the man at the top PUTIN. Look at just how many Multi Billionaires have met with accidents causing deaths recently. The man we are talking went from the KGB to the FSB, more secret , than the KGB and foolishly identified many of his colleagues' to be corrupt. He knew he was a target for assination. They chose poison because it was easier than throwing him out of a high window in London.

+Garry Wilson He truly is a hero. What a colossus; a shining, exalted knight who stands for all that's good and true in the world. It's a tragedy that so many people will never get to meet the great man and breathe the same air. His accomplishments are so numerous I literally can't even think of one; his work towards undermining dictatorships around the world so courageous and dignified that Saddam surely trembled back in the nineties when Galloway bravely defied him by bowing deeply and calling him 'a great man'.
In fact, Galloway has never met a vicious dictator he wasn't prepared to engage in dialogue with and we should be eternally grateful for his consistency in reminding us stupid westerners about all the good things mass-murdering tyrants do. After all it's easy to caricature Assad as a 'bad guy' just because of the barrel-bombs and the torture/kidnappings/secret police and the 400,000 Syrians he helped chivvy along to the afterlife - yet people forget that he's also a very keen gardener, and he likes animals(cows can be fired from cannons for example - they make excellent area-of-effect, splash-damage weapons). As for Putin, he's simply a top man, with an excellent collection of malt whiskeys and a quirky sense of humour. The things he'll put in your soup at dinner! Very misunderstood guy.
      I digress. Viva George!
