Corbyn has never been a team player. He constantly voted against his party's policies. You have to be a team leader to becvome PM. That simple.
His ideas are wonderful in academic circles, but his views are not mainstream. His support for the IRA or the Palestinan terrorist groups while condemning Israel hasn't made him any friends.

The man has never been racist, nor a xenophobe, but his words have been used against him in abhorrent ways. He sees the world for what it is, and isn't afraid to say it how he sees it. Unfortunately politics doesn't work like that. Irrespective of whether or not I would've actually voted for Corbyn as PM, it should be universally acknowledged that the very insular sphere of politics needs thoroughly good and decent, principled people like Jeremy. Great interview. Only issue I have is his complete opposite stance in Scotland, he LISTENED to the team who hated him and didn't listen to the Scottish people. The party is now basically dead in Scotland and I can't see how they can get back. Not his fault, but he should have stuck to his principles, demanded that democracy prevailed. Look at us now - denied democracy we voted for in 2017 and 2019. Jeremy has recently made his feelings known on this and I thank him for that.

England (& also Wales') politics is closer aligned to the SNP (I'm not an SNP fan), the Scottish Labour Party are in govt with the Tories, when would you ever think a Council Area that Labour have a vote less than the SNP, their first move has been to run to the Tories to get into power. Check Edinburgh Council and North Lanarkshire Council for starters! I cannot ever see that happening down South in Wales or England - Principles in Scotland = 0. Also, there is no such thing as Scottish Labour, Scottish Labour is not a separate entity. In political terms UK Labour = Scottish Labour = Welsh Labour. Electoral Commission says so.

These 40 minutes must be viewed by all adults the world over. It may be that Corbyn was too honest a man to be in politics, but all humans ought to know that there have been alternatives to the evils that seem to prevail. Let me hope that he is re-elected even as an Independent.

As a life long supporter of the Labour Party in my 60s it breaks my heart that Jeremys chance to lead a Labour Party to become the elected Government to deliver a truly socialist manifesto was scuppered by corrupt agents both within & outside the Labour Party. Starmer will get my vote very begrudgingly as they have got to better than this toxic Tory Government with the hope that Starmer can subsequently be sidelined. My worry is that outrage this scandal has rightly caused many Labour supporters will loose Labour votes & God help all of us that aren’t wealthy if the Tories get in again

Watching this, my overriding thought is: god, I miss Jeremy Corbyn. This whole shambolic affair has been a huge loss to the Labour party, to the country, and to politics in general.
I voted for Labour for the first time in 2010 when Jeremy was my local MP, and he was absolutely the reason for my looking to Labour at all (I had no love for New Labour, and had previously considered myself mostly aligned to voting Lib Dem, and rather liked both Charles Kennedy and Nick Clegg (it was 12 years ago… mistakes were made, alright! 😬). I went on to join the Green Party for a bit (while still voting for JC as my local MP) because the issues they were focused on were important to me, but I went completely back to Labour to vote for Jeremy in the leadership contest, initially as a supporter and then as a full member, because of the way his policies and sense of fairness and decency had galvanised and inspired so many people - I believed in and was excited about politics in general, and Labour in specific, overwhelmingly because of Jeremy. ❤️
(I’m no longer a member, in part due to all of this, but also a number of divergences of opinion and approach… though I have a strong local Labour MP and some great local Labour councillors, so in practice my votes haven’t gone anywhere, even though my inspiration and faith in the leadership in general has!)

Jeremy corbyn is the best prime minister the uk never had. His biggest Problem was that he had integrity, honesty, and was good for the people. The way they tried to humiliate him was disgusting. The fact that Johnson didn't even turn up to some of the live TV debates, acted like a clown most of the time, and still won says it all.
PLEASE COME BACK JEREMY. THE PUBLIC NEED YOU.

I keep on hearing that mantra from the fringe of the far left that Jeremy Corbyn was the best PM this country never had 😂 Are you having a laugh? 🤣
No BoJo the clown for me was the true legend 🤡 This colourful character was even more stitched up by the media than Jeremy Corbyn was. It’s why he lost his job alongside the backstabbing Tories from his own party. This is why I will never vote for the Tories again because of their betrayal of Boris.
I also blame those from the left for obsessively harassing and hounding him out. Well people should be careful what they wish for because now we have got a more hardline Tory leader under Liz Truss. Sometimes it’s better the devil you know! 🤡 😈
