Works a lot better if you replace the weight with tying it to your lucky duck pole in your spreaad. I always tied the elastic bungee to the pole and it makes the back and fourth a lot more exaggerated and noticeable opposed to dragging the weight with every pull.
I’ve been using these for years. Last year we hooked 7 together.
Been using them since they started up. Love it. Longer pulls makes them swim better

There is a bunch of submerged trees at that lake and where this video is at I tripped on a tree and took a swim in December last year... that area is no joke a pain to walk in.

Good demonstration Josh! I don't think I will ever leave this thing at home again unless it's blowing 10+ or I'm hunting shallow water. On a windless bluebird day this thing makes ALL the difference

I love mine, It really helps in the Cali marshes, the birds are so finicky. Decoying birds is very very hard although can be done with these. Good stuff Josh.

@outdoorlimits have you used this while hunting with Kora or other dogs and does it end up in a tangled dog?
I've used multiple spreaders on a jerk rig and your dog learns real fast to swim around the spreaders.
How much does the spreader weigh?

These things are a game changer. Like you said on bluebird days these things rock! I have 3 of em! Windy days i dont bother with them i just put the flapper out. I wonder what all 3 out there would look like 😋

Great video. I just received mine. Question, on the direction it says to put 4 on one spreader and 3 on the other for the ultimate spreader. You have eight! How did you set it up differently from the directions? Another question, the ultimate came with two strings. Should we use both of the strings for mor or different motion?
I just put one on every clip and then put the connecting rod on two clips. Seems to work. The two strings are for if you want to run them separately
Made mine out of half inch pvc 16 years ago and still working fine, season after season....
The duck thang is the best for creating motion in a decoy spread. But not logical for walk in hunting. This looks like a good product for walk in hunters.

Would this work well in deep water? How well does it or would it work in thick grass/weeds? Because on average I hunt 9ft of water.
You just need to extend the line to the anchor. I use them in twenty foot lakes all the time
Love these but I've found that in a current it gathers weeds from beaver and muskrats 😡😡😡 absolutely a great product

Looks awesome. Do you have any experience with dogs swimming through them? I’m interested, but I’m not too sure how my dog would react to running into the steel frame when swimming out.
All the poles are fiberglass(tent poles) and it sits about 5"-6" under the water. Im sure a dog would be weirded out and mess it all up in my opinion.
