Today I want to cover various potential problems with the heart and give you some natural alternative solutions. This isn’t meant to replace your medical care-check with your doctor before implementing any of this information.
The more the heart is damaged, the more difficult it will be for it to use glucose or fatty acids as fuel. But, ketones can bypass the damage and feed the heart directly. This is why the keto diet is so important for your heart.
One of the biggest symptoms of a failing heart is fatigue, especially upon exertion. If you do the ketogenic diet, you’ll find that fatigue goes away pretty quickly.

I don’t want to scare anyone, but this is my story: back in December I was watching TV late at night and I noticed a strange blurriness in my right eye. On a hunch I took my blood pressure - it was 90/40. I had always had a blood pressure of 120/80, or thereabouts. I immediately went to my Cardiologist at the time and he wrote it off as: “Oh, you’ve lost 150lbs from Keto, it must be the weight loss.” I sensed something was much more wrong with me. I got a 2nd opinion from another Cardiologist and she said: “Your prior Cardiologist didn’t hear this distinct murmur?” I said: “No, he never mentioned it.” My new Cardiologist - who goes on to save my life - orders echocardiogram, T2-MRI for iron in the Heart because I have Hemochromatosis, a CT-Scan, then ultimately a heart catheterization and a Esophageal Echocardiogram. These tests showed that the murmur was being caused by a badly regurgitating Aortic Valve. I underwent open heart surgery on April 8th to replace my bad valve with a bio prosthetic Bovine Valve. I also had an AtriClip installed on the left atrium appendage to prevent blood clots from AFIB. I’m 10 weeks post-surgery now and my BP and heart rhythm are normal. My heart rhythm was not normal for the first 6 weeks - I would get AFIB, SVT’s, & PVC’s. It was very rough going at first. But, I’ve stuck to the Healthy Ketogenic diet that Dr. Berg advocates and my surgeon and Cardiologist are all amazed at my progress. Heck - I was driving a car at 3 weeks post-surgery. At 10 weeks out now I’m going to the supermarket and walking the dog - and she’s strong - AmStaff/Pitbull type dog. I’m not at the point of cutting the lawn yet, but I’m nearing the point where I want to perform light workouts with dumbbells. I already perform Yoga stretches with special precautions to my sternum because I had a traditional sternotomy. So, just beware what your Cardiologist says, and get 2nd opinions - it may just save your life.

@Provoked Brittany I hope so. Also - In regards to my Hemochromatosis - get your Ferritin checked if you’re of Northern European heritage. My Ferritin was 4580 four years ago when I started experiencing night sweats & leg cramps. After many phlebotomies my Ferritin is now around 50. Normal is 0-50. But, the iron damaged my liver with Fibrosis. My liver is regenerating, but it’s been a long road back.

I had a lot of arritmia For many years I went to cardiologist to check February 2021 he said there was nothing wrong with my heart ❤️ the irregular heart beat was coming from somewhere else. So when I started the interment fasting with keto February this year 2022 among many other benefits I experience, my energy, my gum, headaches in the morning, and so on… my heartbeat is just perfect 👍 I think is something related to liver and /or I really have to stay away from carbohydrates.

I’ve been going to cardiologists for almost 10 years with complains and after doing all basic tests they would say there is nothing wrong with your heart. And I lived a happy life, until this time after usual “nothing wrong with your heart” I insisted on doing angiogram. Please note, I live in US, I had complains for past 10 years and no cardiologist ever mentioned a calcium score test or angiogram to me!!!! I myself told the last cardiologist that I need angiogram. He agreed and to our shock it turned out I have 50% blockage. I am still in a state of shock, depressed, angry. I am that person who doesn’t skip doctor’s visits. How on Earth the “best” doctors in the world let me go untreated for 10 years! My life turned upside down. The fear of death became so overwhelming I can’t function. Why no one offered angiogram few years ago when the plaque could still be on 10, 20% and I would take measures earlier. Anyway, dr. Berg and others are the ones at this point who help them understand what life and dietary changes need to be gone to help the situation. Thank you for all your wonderful videos!

All my life my family cooked out of cast iron frying pans and when I left home I continued the tradition. When I was in my late 20’s my doctor told me I had high iron and wanted to know if anyone in my family had high iron. My grandfather on my fathers side did and he also died of a liver disease. I got rid of all my cast iron pans and months later my iron was normal again. I miss cooking in cast iron pans but not that much if it effects my health.
It’s funny how people can all consume the same things but only a few seem to be effective negatively by it.

Dealing with UC which I'm sure is flaring some of my other issues. Good analysis, a few points:
Blood viscosity: have CRP and fibrinogen checked. Ideal is less than 1 CRP and 360 fibrinogen.
Thrombus: a blood clot is 65 percent fibrin or fibrinogen, 25 percent platelets and 4 percent cholesterol.
Mitochondria: the heart has more mitochondria per cell than any organ. To improve oxygen flow CoQ10, D ribose, L canitine improve the electron transfer chain function and converting ADP to ATP.
Statins: suppress K2, CoQ10, increase risk of diabetes, brain fog, skin cancer, etc.

Hello Doctor Berg-you just hit it out of the park again! I may have missed it, but do you have a remedy for-or a video about-LOW pulse rate? My last trip to the cardiologist, all of my bloodwork readings (and my blood pressure) were stellar EXCEPT that my heart rate was now in the 40s! The cardiologist addressed this by reducing the dosage of my Urosin (Atenolol). It was originally 1 pill/day, then reduced to 1/2, then to 1/4, and this time to 1/4 pill every two days. Doctor Google says that this medicine addresses high blood pressure, but can cause a too low heart rate. This reduced dosage seems to be doing the trick, but I’d like to also apply some lifestyle remedies (diet, exercise, etc.) on my end of things if there are some available. Thanks for the great work you do! And greetings from Taipei, Taiwan.

Thank you Dr Eric Berg for all the details on CZcams.
I’m almost 48 years old. From past two year I’m checking my CAC score.
My total CAC score was 137 in April, 2021 and in Jun 2021 my score was 167. (I was on high corb and frequent eating in this period)
As per Dr Eric, I changed my diet to low carb, high fat and 16- to 20 hrs fasting. Now my CAC score is 168 (Jun-2022). That’s less than 1% increase in from past year.
Dr. Please advise how can I reverse or bring down my CAC sore from 168?
I’m eating brie cheese, Avocados and Nattoo powder for breakfast.
NOTE: As per cardiologist, it is not possible to stop and only option is take statins daily.

@@PrimitiveFilmGroup , congrats on your score! FYI, K2 is not only supported by D3, but also vit. A is required. Together, they perform the perfect trifecta. I read a book called Vitamin K2 and the Calcium Paradox. It explains the entire enzymatic cycle. The author also explains why you should never take calcium supplements (just eat calcium that's naturally occurring in food). So, be sure to read the ingredients on all supplements and vitamins, to be sure there isn't any ADDED calcium listed. I couldn't believe how many K2 products had calcium added!
