- Recently at the Sealy Big Bass Splash ANOTHER angler was caught stuffing weights in his bass to make them weight more and CHEAT! What's the story behind this? did the walleye cheaters help make another angler cheat and attempt to win money?

In my country, if you cheat like that, you will probably get your ass beat by everyone that's competing.

Cheating has become way too common. We have guys cheat on 4-hour shootouts with tiny prize pools. Ridiculous 🤦♂️

You guys with platforms need to be naming these guys when this happens and putting their pictures and names in your titles and thumbnails for all to find. Make them all famous.

David Moore, St,John Indiana. Wow another cheater in Texas! Just recently David Moore got caught hiding smallmouth in South Chicago on the splash tournament.
You can’t stretch fish. That’s why I only fish kayak tournaments. Picture. Release immediately. Also, metadata of the picture can tell you if the picture is on the up and up.

He should have his license taken away for 10 years, that’s enough time to think about it. That’s in every state in this country also, no license. The exposure that he gets which should be nation wide, that will keep him from fishing tournaments forever.

Unacceptable. Cheaters suck. Cheaters are stealing from other anglers. That is bad enough but when you stuff fish you are abusing the fish & abusing the natural resource and that is freaking unacceptable. Jail Time is what is called for here and a lifetime ban from fishing on any tournament anywhere forever.

I agree with you, should be against the law for them to own a fishing pole. I guess they need to make a boat payment or just want to win no matter the cost. I only fish for fun anymore. It saves me a lot of money. Thank You for your show.

We have been doing this for 50 years or more and it has made some guys very profitable. So everyone needs to chill out and accept the fact that if a person wants to violate the laws they will, banning or taking their license and equipment will not stop a determined criminal. Cheaters are going to cheat and get caught and sometimes not , and not getting caught just re enforces their desire to keep doing it.

The only way to stop this is (as bad as it sounds) x-ray every fish.
I have fished the Sealy tournament and it’s a very big event a lot of people and moving parts and the sealy crew caught the cheater with their system congratulations

I agree they should have their license revoked permanently. If they cheat in a tournament it is highly likely they have no regard for regulations ie size and bag limits.

Do away with Biggest catch and going bye weight. Just go By length Catch Picture release and the total of all the lengths of ur bass is your total score
Or make it a Luxury Add on if anglers are willing to pay extra to compete in a Biggest bass during the tournament. With extra rules and regulations. Unfortunately ppl make it bad for everyone

I agree, 100%, should never be able to fish again in his life, we’re not talking about forgetting your life jacket when the big motor is running or running a white zone this was very very deliberate, so again I say he should never be able to buy another fishing license in his lifetime and if he is caught fishing, be arrestedand put in prison for minimum of 10 years
The law doesn't really do much to these guys. It's higher potential winnings vs light punishment.

This is the stupidest thing people can do. The tournament officials will have to have a handheld metal detector to fix this. They need to put a large penalty onto this guy to also show that cheating wont be tolerated.Keep up the great videos we watch them all.

Lead and tungsten weights would show on a metal detector.If one was looking to make a 2.5 lb fish 4 lbs or more what else would you put in the fish. A pound of minnows would make the belly of the fish obviously enlarged. I can't think of anything else that one could use to add weight without being visible. Kudos to the people who were running the weigh-in there who could estimate weight by length were on guard for this.
I was referring to the Walleye cheaters using fileted fish pushed into their guts. I agree kudos. Catch the cheaters.

Sad when you compete with cheaters and people who are dishonest. We should agree to ban this angler from any competition for a descent amount of time and add fines for the criminal act.i dont want to be around people who cheat or lie to benefit themselves. Competitive/tournament ban is appropriate but removing their ability to have a fishing license is WAY to heavyhanded. People who are arrested for drinking and driving aren't even held to this level of restriction/consequence. We can all agree, drinking and driving and it's potential for disaster, is a much worse crime than cheating in a fishing tournament.

Definitely should be banned from tournament fishing for some period of time and fishing license revoked for a similar duration. However, just like other crimes, once the time is served they should have their rights restored, unless they repeat offend, then no third chances to learn their lesson.

Not accurate enough unfortunately. Fish swallow hooks. X ray is fool proof. Fish also swallow sinkers, that's why many states gave banned lead sinkers. It's a problem.
@@GetUrFishOn$50-$100 for something to help guarantee integrity at least with metallic adulteration will be well received by anglers. The issue is that as we all know criminals constantly evolve their crimes. When weights are no longer viable they will adopt other less detectable methods. Only way to combat is on big purse tournaments to have spotters and judges on board.
I do agree with you. no license. no fishing. BUT. Al that means is he will continue to fish. just without a license. Personally. I think it should be an AUTOMATIC 10 years behind bars. no excuse no BS. 10 YEARS. I have a tendency to believe that will put a stop to people cheating. just saying

Glad I don't weigh any of my fish anymore....I just take a picture and measure it on my rod yardstick and throw it back. I guess that bass fisherman gotta do that to their little two foot fish though.

I would imagine law enforcement and Bob Sealy are taking into account that "you are innocent until proven guilty"
That is the proper thing to do. If this person is convicted or pleas guilty then I'm sure the identity will be released. Personally don't see how the person could not be guilty because fish don't normally feed on lead but due process is due process.

When money is on the line, “some” will go to the extreme. Unfortunately it happens in all sorts of competition and only ruins it for those of us are just trying to enjoy it and compete. Charge them with the felony (no voting, no gun rights, etc), and revoke their fishing license. Set the example to attempt to prevent it in the future. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

If your gonna cheat and you get caught, you shouldnt be allowed to fish ever again period! Due to the money involved with prizes, you should be getting a lot more than a slap on the hand when you do get caught!!!

Why use weights if a person was going to do it I would use bait they eat minnows bream etc not weights

Never again should he or she or they be allowed to fish again in any state. Their name should be put on a National cheaters list and it should be published for everyone to see. They should be fined heavily and I mean heavy enough to break them, any boats or prizes should be confiscated as well.
