So I'm unaware of 100% Wolf as a movie. Does anyone have any experience on the franchise I should know about? Or should I just go in blind sometime soon?
I do know they had a show too the movie came out in 2020 if am clear or 2021 if me clear but I didn't know they are making a second movie
imo viva kids is annoying asf i see them everywhere even in all the topcat movies which is warner bros
Well I’ve watched 2/3 seasons of the show of the same name. Mainly bc it’s on 3rd party websites for the states with the recent series being locked to Australia only on ABC or something. The seasons is kinda interesting funny and pretty dumb a bit. Weird love triangle going on with the dog partner from the the movie who becomes a human(a reverse werewolf) and a human girl werewolf hunter introduced in the show.

I've gotten through about 45% of the Legend of the Moonstone series. Mostly because i didnt sign up to watch it on another streaming site.

Y'know, Bluey comes from Australia too, and that's adored by a vast amount of people, plus that has anthropomorphic dogs. Werewolves, depending on the tale, were the original furry, an animal with human characteristics, but regardless, 200% Wolf is no match for Bluey, the recent episodes were bangers, even if this film exists, Australia can still be proud they have the rectangle dogs.

I saw the 1st movie, it's the movie equivalent of thinking ur eating a fresh cream donut and finding its just a normal plain, slightly dry donut

@@senritsujumpsuit6021 Nothing surprising or interesting happened, u could leave after the first 30 minutes with a good idea of the rest of the movie. It also didn't evoke many reactions out of me beside 'well, this is happening'

I'm a Monkie Kid fan as you can obviously see and have to say I feel extremely betrayed. It feels like I'm hearing the news that a guy that I used to know for making silly beat boxing animations spent 50k on a porn animation all over again.

7:43 Flying Bark also did the animation for Lego's Journey to the West cartoon, Monkie Kid, seasons 1-4. Their 2D animation is phenomenal, though I haven't really seen what their 3D stuff is like. I recognized the name immediately since going in to Monkie Kid's fifth season, the animation studio is going to be Wildbrain instead.

i knew about 100% wolf because i work at a dollar store and we've had the movie come in in some of the boxes of films we get sent because they never got sold elsewhere
As someone who used to obsess over this movie, I remember quite a lot of things, such as silver being a weakness that traps them in a form, there were dog catchers, I think there might have been a romance between Freddie and the girl dog. There was also a show that aired on ABC Me, which followed Freddie, the girl dog and other werewolves going to a school that had a moonstone, and that moonstone made it possible for the girl dog to be a weredog? I think. Also Freddie has a dead dad and two annoying cousins.
So, Flying Bark left Monkie Kid production to make 3D furry movie ...

they actually had this series for a while flying bark has both a 2d and 3d department with different teams! the 3d team tends to focus on 3d features and they have had this series around just as long as monkie kid, it's proberbly the fact they are working on both moon girl and avatar, though it does suck that flying bark couldn't return for season 5, i'm glad the show didn't get cancelled because of it.
I only know about 100% Wolf because Bobsheaux reviewed it awhile back.

I found the 100% wolf in a redbox and got it bc it looked weird and me and my friend like watching weird movies we have never heard of before
Turned into an obsession. I loved it and i loved the wolf designs and the lore/world is really fun imo. We even went as far as watching the tv series (which isnt great but i still had a lot of fun with it!) Really excited about the sequel !!

I'm an Aussie and I had no idea this movie existed. At least it's better than another Australian production: Dirtgirlworld, that show is pure nightmare fuel.

The cartoon for this is really fun the small female dog gets her own human form an is just the most feral friend an I live for her voice

Aussie here my friend adores this franchise I personally find it cringe for the humour and how dumbed down the werewolves are. The TV show makes them so stupid and just like big dumb dogs 😅

I have good memories of watching 100% Wolf.
I do however recall watching reviews that made me 'cautious' as I watched the film. Apparently someone said there was a feeling of zoo- something? Mixing up the theme of found family with romance?
If you want romance. Look at the TV show. The one were Lupin goes to a secret werewolf school, and he has to master being a helpful werewolf with classmates with thier own quicks. Yeah, there is romance in that show. Plus, its not limited to the school, we see alot of the town.
I like to point out that the animated tv spin off, Legend of the Moonstone got a 2nd season, The Book of Hath in 2023 which goes more into Freddy's ancestors.

theres a whole animated series with two seasons. Its based/ is not based on the book and is similar to/completely different from the first movie.
I actually watched this movie as a kid! I don't remember what streaming service it was on, but it also has a short run show that went with it. I don't remember what it was called, but I really enjoyed it when I was little. It also has a song by The Struts in it, so that's honestly the only reason why I remember it as well as I do.

Actually i kinda like the 100% wolf movie and series i can't wait to see the sequel.

They look surprisingly competent.
Not sure if the story will be anything spectacular, but there's only one good way to find out I guess.

Well furry used to mean a person who likes anthropomorphic animals, but has since expanded to mean those characters as well. And while when you say anthropomorphic you think of your typical humanoid shape with animal features it really just means giving human traits to non human things, so being able to talk? Yeah that’s anthropomorphizing. Even smiling to mean happy is anthropomorphizing. It’s not typically what you mean when you say furry but this is technically furry.

I actually watched 100% Wolf in theaters. I was bored that summer and wanted to go watch a movie, it was the only remotely interesting movie they had running at the time so I decided to just go for it. It was a fun enoigh romp, interesting concept for sure, though too much toilet humor for my taste.

I’m so down by how far Flying Bark Productions has fallen, from their years as Yoram Gross’ studio producing classics like Dot and the Kangaroo and Blinky Bill to crap like this under Studio 100. As an Australian myself, it really pains me knowing that our domestic market consists of either this or Like A Photon Creative’s Tales from Sanctuary City.

When I saw the trailer for this movie, the kid turning into a poodle was the point where I got turned off. Cuz I was expecting him to actually look like a werewolf, but, like, a scrawny one, and not a poodle. I also saw another trailer for one of the movies, but they used a picture of the kid looking more like what I was expecting him to look like, and thought that I was going to get scammed out of my time looking at this other trailer for it. I thought that thumbnail was photoshopped. But because of your video, I know that him looking like a werewolf instead of a poodle is actually true. The animation, however seems really good.

I love how you describe the lead protagonist as a 'pink' poodle when he's very much white. The pink accents I don't recall being natural but its been like four years since I've seen the first one. I think the pink is dye? Regardless, the majority of his coloring is white loll.

3:35 Alpha wolves/dogs just aren't a thing anyway, so it's kinda annoying that people keep using it. One group put out one theory that was immediately discredited (by their own assessment) but pop culture ran with it anyway (to the detriment of actual dogs everywhere) presumably because some people like having an excuse to abuse animals and/or people

I've seen the first movie and it was kinda okay... definitely a baby go haha movie but I've seen worse.
Kinda wished they got more into the whole werewolf family instead dumb dog shenanigans...not to mention the implied "romantic" interest between the main boy and the dog girl.... mind you he's a human.....so yeah this story has some interesting stuff going on but a bit too much random at some points

I get they're trying to use powers as an allegory for difference, but as a person who is different, just let them keep their damn powers! I remember as a kid, I would use movies as an escape and seeing people gain these powers that make them feel free felt amazing to me. Then they take it away at the end because 'they don't need them anymore.' I hate how they make powers/abilities feel conditional, sorry we can take them away as soon as your done with them. I hate that. Feels mean and unjustified, as a person who feels power taken away from them on the daily, I want to see characters keep the gifts they were given.
I hope they instead let him stay a wolf, but he's a small weaker one.
