My cat would start aggressively grooming herself when I would scratch along her back and base of the tail. It seemed like the better the scratches felt, the faster she would lick and nibble her chest and shoulder area lol

2 years ago I rescued a Exotic Shorthair Tuxedo male .
Hes the light of my life .
I have found that if you brush his coat out once a week you will never have matting .
Come spring time i start brushing out his undercoat twice a week.And i do this until late august .
I was astounded at how much undercoat i have brushed out in the 3 months .
Warning ;This breed of cat are easily overheated because of their thick fur .I never seen a cat pant like a dog when overheated until Max got to warm one summer day ..
But what a joy he is to have him own me .
I love that his name is Tolstoy (it also means 'fat' or 'stout' in Russian 😂)

Tolstoy is such a distinguished gentleman, but his sweet little nose made me smile. When he had had his blow out he looked like a cute puffball. I am happy he did not need to be fully shaved.
