@@ronaldarchibald2506 true. also a sighn of good "personality" (if this term applies to cats). my cat is very cuddly and loving with family but simply tolerates presence of guests and strangers. if even touched by stranger she proceeds to eliminate their very existance. at the same time my kids can hug her and play with her like a toy.

Kazoo is a unique cat. Never saw such a well behaved cat during a bathing and grooming session. And I have to say he looked hilarious after he was shaven, but apparently, it had to be done! Have a great day!

@@arthur9511 i believe Vanessa wouldn't shave down a cat unless there was a reason. Maybe the owners wanted it done. She groomed him again later and he wasn't shaved that time.

Imagine: a cat that doesn't bite/scratch you while they're being groomed, but licks you instead. Incredible.
My cats never bite or scratch, but they whine and complain and will try to escape if they think they can get away.
I used to have Himalayan cats, and they would purr when they were being groomed/brushed, I think they were just so grateful to have those knots removed
@@imnotmike My cats would try to tear my arms if I try to wash them, however when it came time to brush they would fall in to a trance of purring and licking that can go on for hours. I kept a brush near me at all time so I can brush them when they where in a mood for some scraching and lapsleeping
I figured that the licking was prelude to biting. LOL! My cat loves to be brushed but she makes me follow her around or she keeps rolling around.

Funny story, a couple of years back there was someone going around our neighborhood and getting all the cats with a lot of hair groomed/shaved. Just random people’s cats that they let outside. I honestly wanted to find the person to shake their hand.

The air-licking is him instinctively trying to groom while experiencing the sensation of being groomed. Some cats exhibit this behavior, but most don't.

My parents ragdoll does this, it's pretty hilarious, she enjoys being pet soo much that she needs to return the favor, and if she cant reach your hair, she'll lick your hand, arm, or if she gets confused enough, she'll groom herself.

I had an Fire Point Himalayan Persian Cross I named Pebbles. She looked exactly like this, but orange all over. Orange eyes, orange coat, and a soft sandstone undercoat. Loved her to death, miss the heck out of her. This reminded me of her. She was always good like this. She'd ALWAYS have to sit on my lap... in the bath.... yes.... IN THE BATH. Weird cat, didn't love water, but loved me enough to be in it when I was. Thanks for the happy memories with this video :).

That cat's owner must show him nothing but love for him to be that cool while being groomed
that's not how it actually works tho. one of the nicest persons i've ever known had the meanest cat i've ever known. it was almost feral although it was fully domesticated, and the only person it tolerated to be pet by was his owner. but most of the time sitting next to it was as far as the owner was allowed to go. it wasn't afraid, it was angry. the neighbor cats was terrified of it. i've seen traumatized cats before, usually family cats that have brat kids in the house. this was nothing like that it was flat out just a very mean cat with very clear borders and showed little interest in human affection

Yes. We had a cat when I was younger that was so bad, we had to put two milk crates over him when giving him a bath. He was an outside cat and rarely got bathed but when het got very dirty we would have to wash him. It was a nightmare. I have never seen another cat that was so angry.

strange i have no problem with cats getting bathed, but these deformities, it must be so uncomfortable for that poor little kitten, i think people shouldn't go over board to get these strangely shaped cat(and dog) breeds, it just leads to so many health issues those innocent animals do not deserve

@@stickyguyd The annoying thing is, it doesn't have to be that way. Some breeders offer "doll faced" or "traditional" Persians who still have flat faces but not as extreme as the current breed standard. Of course Doll Faced Persians aren't show quality but if you want a Persian that can breathe, they're available.
The same thing is true for Siamese kittehs. The "apple headed" aka "traditional" versions look more like a regular kitty in a Siamese costume than the current breed standard. Of course they're not show quality but they're a good choice for the pet world. Also note that both breeds I've mentioned are called "traditional" because that's how they used to look about 100 years ago. Siamese cats didn't look extreme until the 1960s. Healthy breed standards were acceptable then and they should be like that now.
