    The doors on the heater portion of the air box have foam seals that deteriorate over time, and leave an air gap that allows hot air to mix with the cold A/C air, warming in to less than optimal temperatures.

      @geraldg3130 Před 8 měsíci +1

      What about in the summer time bypassing the heater core with either some kind of on/off valve or just pulling the heater core hoses and connecting them together so the hot coolant just recirculates back? If a guy were to do the on/off valve, you of course would put it on the hose taking the coolant TO the heater core, but how does a fella determine which one that is?

    Add a fan on the front side of the evaporator and turn it on with a switch when your sitting or in stop and go traffic and you will see a HUGE temp drop in your ac. Your clutch fan alone doesnt draw in enough air at low idle @ op temp. The gmt800's are colder because they have electric fans that are computer controled. Time for you to do a 411 swap

      I found this GM 15-8686 Auxiliary Engine Cooling Fan Assembly on the AC Delco website. It is compatible with the GMT 400.
      I’ve seen a couple reviews that mentioned it helped cool down the AC too. I’m going to definitely consider adding it

    Nice vid. I've been watching your vids for a while. I enjoy the mod installs. I have a 97 long bed Z71 and it's my baby. It runs great and everything works. I am just in need of a new paint job. My trucks paint is very faded and I've tried to bring it back up to glossy but it to far gone. Anyway, just wanted to say I am trying very to bring the outside appearance back to glossy and beautiful. It's really hard to find a "reasonable" priced paint shop that will do a quality job. Looking forward for the next vid.

I just replaced a door and the seals, bad news the dash and seats have to come out, its quite a pain. Mine were all laying in dry rotted pieces in bottom of box. Nice try, I've been checking multiple CZcams videos and most pertain to actuators and other reasons. You are more of just replacing things until something works, this video is not helpful at all when it comes to cooling issues. At least you're getting a lot of hits and making some money off CZcams, good for you.
