This is one of the best instructional videos I have watched on you tube, D-Ray is clear, precise, informative, good camera work. Many folks want to be a comedian, or go too slow, like they have to show every bolt going out or in. Thank you for a good blend of speed and comprehensive instruction. I will watch more of him.
Very good video. Good camera work and nice to have someone not trying to start a reality TV show while doing this.
You are very smart and are more like a teacher. It must be a gift.Looking forward to Pt. 5
all these videos part 1 through 5 are the best ive seen on this motor yet, very well detailed! excellent video. keep it up.
when you do a bottom end on one of these motors please post it up.!
thanks again!
Thanks! It's not always that clean, but I do try. I like a clean work area, especially when I go into an engine. Have a goodun'!
excelent video. very clear, good lighting and sound.
Very clean work. Impressive
Great videos! Lots of great information. Thank you.
I can't seem to keep my shop that clean. Great videos.
In my opinion, the valve clearances should at least be checked before reassembly. Installing a new head gasket will have disturbed them all since this is a pushrod engine. I also think you'd be doing your viewers a big service by telling them to use a torque wrench when reassembling, especially all fasteners going into aluminum. Or maybe add a video on the trouble and expense of using Helicoils.
The valves are non adjustable, it has hydraulic lifters.
Awesome step by step instructions this video is great
Question for u tho? On theses engines how do u out it top dead center? Or do u in these does it matter?? I do four wheelers all the time first time working on this Polaris ranger 800xp 4x4 I just don’t wanna bend a valve
Thanks in advance 🙏
The cam is just below the lifters in the crankcase.
Do you have a video where you set the valve lash on the 800?
So you don't have to adjust your valves? Just snug the bolts down on each rocker arm?
Going to put mine back together tonight, that was about the only question I had after watching your 5 videos. Thanks for them by the way!
Thanks man!
great video ... helped me a lot...thx
looking good man
Could a slightly bent push rod cause compression loss? My 2012 Polaris ranger xp 800 stoped running. I have zero comp in one cylinder and about sixty in other. Pulled valve cover and found two middle push rods off the rocker. Re installed it but engine wouldn’t start. Took the push rods out and notice a slight bend. Could this cause it not to start? Any suggestions. Thank you. Great video.
So those injectors just pop in? I'm doing top end on my rzr now when I pulled out old injectors they were tight
Did you reuse the headbolts or replace them?
Doing my top end on my 2012 rzr s 800 and the head gasket I received online is a triple layered I red online it's only spose to be a single layered.. reason I'm asking I put it in and had to take it right back apart cause there was coolent bypassing.. No warps or anything like that just doing a tip end overall for good measure do you think the triple layered was the cause of the leak? Thanks.. tryed phoning a few shops they couldn't tell me
Did you reuse the head bolts?
what’s the torque specs on valve cover bolts
¿Las valvulas del Rzr 800 no llevan calibracion?
