I’m a new quilter. I’ve spent 1 night in my 0 degree OV top quilt. Temps got down to 35 degrees. I stayed warm all night. I did have a pair of long Johns on and used the Nemo Tensor insulated sleeping pad. It will be interesting to see how it performs with more nights under the belt. So far, impressed.

I have the 15 degree stormloft degree quilt. I love it because it is my first quilt and it has all the features that I believe you need to stay warm as a first time user. Slept in 19 degree in winter and was toasty warm with a Nemo tensor.

Finally! I have been waiting for you to cover one of OV's quilts. I watched the video where you went hiking with them, but did not go into detail on the quilt. I like the shape and way the baffles are on this quilt, limiting down migration. My main gripe with top quilts is the down migration within the vertical baffles, sometimes causing cold spots at night. Thanks for reviewing this for us Justin! You rock!

I struggled with the OV quilt and had to return it because it was too tight around the legs where the footbox is sewn. I own several other OV products and think they are quite good, but the quilt was a miss due to the, for me, tight footbox area.

I’ve got an OV 15 and it’s maybe my favorite. Used it down to 19 degrees with normal camp sleep ware with a Nemo tensor insulated and was plenty warm. My only gripe is that it’s a little tight around the calves. Wish it was a little wider like the UGQ bandit. But I got mine on sale, prior to the recent price hike, and I’m an OV member….I think I paid around $230.

I love my OV Mummy bag, best bag I have ever bought!

I love my OV Stormloft 30. It is true to its temp rating. I love the straps, just wish the foot box was not sewn. See you outside!

I just got off the CDT south of Rawlins, Wyoming last week using the OV Stormloft 15 degree bag. One night dropped into the teens/low 20's and I was shivering; even with my puffy on. It is a fantastic quilt, however and is plenty warm up to 30 degrees for me.

What sleeping pad were you using?

I was wondering the same thing. I have the 15 and paired it with a regular wide Nemo tensor (the new one with 4.2 r value) and I was plenty warm down to 19 degrees. I was wearing a t-shirt and a light fleece with light base layer pants.

As someone who has a LOT of OV gear, I wish they would have made a wide quilt. At 56" they are right in between Zenbivy's regular and large. And 8 inches narrower than Zenbivy's XL. Maybe if Tayson had remained defensive end size instead of becoming an ultra-marathoner, they'd have better sizing.

unzip your sleeping bag halfway and then tie it around u and it is the same. I don't want to be tied or 'strapped in. the part tucked under u is no different than the part of the sleeping bag you are laying on which is what people complain about

Think you are missing the point of a quilt…

Justin, what about Canadian cottage brands, like Taigaworks' quilts? Designed and manufactured in Vancouver?

Please verify that the width measurement is an actual measurement. This quilt was measured on the flat fabric, prior to filling with down. The actual width measurement was a few inches LESS.
