Hoovie: "by the way the fridge is actually a Free Corvette."
Guy: "So no fridge?"
HA, I would be quite disappointed. At least a refrigerator is useful.
Without the extra fredge, they have to go out in the new car..
only to find the fuel system clogged by a ball bearing.

If you mention fridge in the comments Danger Dave will most certainly reply “toss a block of dry ice in the passengers seat and there ya go!”
No Danger Dave here
"Why don't people like the crossfire?" There's a reason everyone but GM called it the "cease-fire"...
I own an 84 Vette with crossfire. It runs perfectly. Never had a problem. They’re great engines. The problem is people get in there and start adjusting things, and it screws up the synchronization of the the TBIs. They need to be perfectly in synch.

His yelling kind of frightened me, honestly. 😆
He has such a soothing voice the yelling through me off.
Yeah it's amazing how comfortable the Wizard is in front of the camera nowadays. When Hoovie just started featuring him on his channel a while back he was really shy and would barely talk in front of the camera. Now he even cracks jokes and talks more than Hoovie!
I had the pre-curser, hell if I can remember the name.....
He is a shop owner. Being able to yell is pretty much a prerequisite.
Hoovie should just have AAA following him everywhere he drives.

Can you imagine all the pain that guy went through, and it was just a $40 sensor to fix it.
I can believe it. The original owner of the Camry I bought for 500 bucks he said it runs and drives but shut off after awhile. I have an idea so I bought it bought the temperature sensor for 25 bucks I installed it myself. I think 3 weeks later and get it registered and insured and add more Led lights he saw the Camry. He said a bunch of questions and say was it expensive I said no. The problem is very cheap and you can do it yourself. And it cost me 25 bucks

Yuuuup. Friend of mine got an Volvo for $200. The guy he got it from had done the exact same thing, but a lot of time and money into sorting it, but he was out of patience or money to keep throwing at it. One $50 part and my friend had a driveable beater for 4 years.

Nice definition of "MASSIVE PROFIT!" - making a fellow human being happy is indeed a great profit!
It was called the "Ceasefire" for a reason. When they ran , they ran ok. The problem was the throttle position sensors would fail for seemingly no reason. At $60 a piece you could fix them one day and they could fail again the next... $120 a shot adds up. Many of these Vettes were converted to carburation.
I was just thinking that "converting to carb" when he had the cover off. Pull that BS out and put an edlebrock intake and a 550 cfm carb and you'll get 300 hp out of it easy. Bet you could get it all sorted in an afternoon.
@@muskokamike127 I have one of these. That fuel injection system is absolutely garbage. I've spent tons of money on parts for it. Works great one day, barely runs the next. I'm gonna put a carb on mine and be done with it.
@@carlashton9331 I would call Painless wiring and ask them what you need for gauges and what not. I'm sure with a little research you could get a decent set up.
Love that corvette. The two tone silver paint, the digital gauges.
...Merry Christmas an God Bless you and the Wizard ,love from Canada...
He clickbated us with his MASSIVE PROFIT, but the wholesomeness more than made up for it.
Massive emotional profit
The massive profit is the tax break he gets from the last three giveaway videos he has done. 😂😂😂😂
I now know that whenever Hoovie puts MASSIVE PROFIT in the title, it's always gonna be the exact opposite 😂
The wholesomeness was the profit
I didn't see wholesomeness, I saw a busine$$ decision that will become a massive profit for him. "Wholesomeness" would have been driving this thing to a bus stop and giving it away to ANYONE sitting there.
Hoovie is probably single handedly putting the Wizards kids through college....
Hell yeah man that's the spirit of Xmas.
Love the gift! I’m sure he will enjoy it plenty 🔥

Know I'm a year late but the car not starting right away IS this channel. A Hooptie to the core.
Not all profit is in money.
You sir, are a gentleman.
Driving c4 corvette = 1000$
Giving away the 1000$ corvette to someone who enjoys it for emotional profit = priceless.
Equals a tax write off much larger than $1000. CZcamsrs give away cars at the end of the year to buff their taxes.
But the guy wanted a fridge not the car...
except this guy wont enjoy it
Hoovie Claus strikes again...what a generous soul Tyler has. This guy will be able to fix whatever will eventually break down the road.
LOL, the crossfire insert brings back some serious childhood memories. I knew in the opening something special was going to happen.
You messed him up by telling him to give it some gas starting it. Although the injection setup is similar to the truck set up, the ECM is primitive compared to the various ones used in the trucks (BTW, a great upgrade for these setups) and doesn't understand that, when he gave it gas you flooded it. At that point the only thing that would have fixed it is if he floored it and that would tell the ECM "I think I flooded it," and it would have shut off the injectors to "clear flood."
That sprang to my mind too - when it eventually started there was a puff of black smoke and it eventually cleared all the fuel out and ran smoother
Correct it's very basic fuel injection just turn the key hot or cold, it will do the rest.
Yep
It's crazy how a Hoopty like this Corvette can be fixed with a $40 part whereas many other Hoopties in the past has had problems on top of problems it was a never ending cycle
"Gotta get it in the crossfye!" Ha, ha, so funny. I too immediately thought of that stupid 80s game when he mentioned crossfire injection.
Crossfire!! Almost chocked on my food laughing when I saw you 2 playing that game on the engine!
Thats why your channel is so enjoyable. You do things like giving her to the person who most likely will enjoy and restore her. Awesome!
