I have one of Sam’s old bikes. Nukeproof mega. Good to see she was treated well. Saw the custom grips so decided to look him up.
Might not be his bike just because it says his name on the grips. All his signature parts have his name on and anyone can buy his parts. May just be a standard bike unfortunately unless you have concrete evidence he did ride it or owned it

I got same bar and stem on my trek fuel. Was looking to buy myself a nukeproof mtb but at the time I was very limited on available bikes (as we always do, fu covid) but if I had chance to swap my trail bike for giga or mega I'd do it without thinking
Sam's only got two high speed compression dials. He is never at low speed...

Only half the rotor bolts are Ti?? Seems odd.
I’m not sure this guy is a genuine mechanic, at no point did I see him have a brew.
Then again, he didn't put gloves on.

@@lesterfalcon1350 I dont think hes educated enough or knowledgeable enough to wear gloves. Most of these bike mechanics are garage mechanics.

He didn't put anything on backwards only to realise at the end of the build, so he must be a professional.

damn i wished my giga came to me in such condition man........ frame , crank everything was so badly scratch up...........and the best is the linkage bearing are dead after on 3 ride on cycling path ( not trails, gravel or muddy or raining)
when you get a new bike always take it completely apart and regrease everything because if the bike was sitting in the box for some time grease is dryed out and than your bearings will work like magic 👌
