It ends perfectly. They spend the whole song singing about beautiful woman, woman that can cook, and make goods wives. At the end they come across a destroyed village, the only thing surviving is a doll In that very last moment the men realize who the girl worth fighting for really is.
Meanwhile, the woke feminists are like, “No, girls shouldn’t have brains! We should stifle their creativity and force them to rely on men for ideas! Oh, and they should be nothing but muscle and machine guns!”
This will always be one of my favorite Disney movie songs. And the ending is never any less sad! Such a sweet song, but contrasted perfectly with the reality of war. I love that Disney added these themes into their movies back then. Still fun, still a lesson that will last into adulthood.
I dunno why but when I see my PE class walking from field to field, I think of this song. We're a rag tag, somewhat uncoordinated yet loyal and goal focused group trying to find stuff to get our minds off the physical punishment. No matter the work we need to put in or how long it will take, we're excited and ready to succeed.
Trust me, it was hell, but we all made it. I still don't get why we had to do our routines outdoor for 2 hours in the late summer Florida sun, when we had a typically unused air conditioned gym. It was sometimes in the nineties and still our instructor refused to let us. :/ We're all now together as a freshman class, and despite me not being close with most of my PE brethren, I still have a lot of respect for the challenge we all overcame through the support and encouragement from one another.
Jesus christ. Was it a military school. Cause I'm from South Florida myself so I know how bad that must've been. And I didn't know PE classes could be 2 hours, must've been block schedule eh?
Chi Fu: I've a girl back home who's unlike any other. Yao: Bet the only girl who'd love him is his mother. I have to agree with Yao; Chi Fu's face is a face only a mother could love.
lol it's hilarious how once we're all older we go back to the movies of our childhood. They're better than all the pointless sex and violence in more mature films. -.-
Aw not even on the soundtrack do they finish the song. Sometimes it happens, the soundtrack will finish a song that gets cut short or interrupted in the movie/game. Not this time.
[Song starts] Chi Fu: Captain! Urgent news from the general! (Mushu watches Chi Fu and Shang's shadows from outside tent while standing on a tree branch) We're needed at the front! Mushu: Pack your bags, Cri-kee. We're moving out! (High fives the cricket)
If you showed just the song to someone that didn't watch the movie, the cut off at the end would probably confuse them, but to anyone that watched the movie, they would get chills.
Ling: What do we want? Chinese Soldiers: A girl worth fighting for! Me: I’ll have two number 9s, a number 9 large, a number 6 with extra dip, a number 7, two number 45s, one with cheese, and a large soda.
WHAT?! NO COMMENTS?? (Ahem!) My favorite line is "I couldn't care less what she wears or what she looks like.... it all depends on what she cooks like! Beef! Pork! Chicken! Mmmm!!!" :)
Man, they could not make a movie like this today - the woke leftists would call it “Chinaphobic” for portraying non-whites as misogynistic pricks. And yes, I know the correct term is “Sinophobic”, but keep in mind, these are the people who say “fatphobic” instead of “pachyphobic”.
"Yeah the only girl who'd love him is his mother" :')
lol roasted
i laughed so hard😂
One of the biggest tone shifts I've ever seen.
This is one of the few disney song that ended suddenly without finishing
a girl worth fighting-

@@lord_ozymandias That last line and scene hits so hard.

The song was finished in the sequel.
Mulan found a girl worth fighting for, the poor girl whose doll she found left on the ground. She avenged her in the end.
“It all depends on what she cooks like”
As someone who loves food, I can agree him.
How about a girl who's got a brain, who always speaks her mind? Understatement.
NAAHH
NAAAHHHHH!

Good. Because that last unfinished line is iconic.
