Friend's uncle had a small hydrofoil boat maybe 50 years ago. With a 10hp motor, it was one of the fastest boats on the lake. I don't know why they didn't become more popular.

I thought of this idea about 20 years ago as a teenager. Way I thought, each hydrofoil would pivot by a servo, making it "incapable of steady flight" without computer control. In theory, the craft could do all kinds of stunts, in addition to clearing waves. Imagine at speed pulling back on a joystick to aggressively increase the angle of the foils, you could jump clear over another boat. You could also ride on 2 foils, side to side, or pull the front ones in the air like a wheelie.
Guys, the whole point of a hydrofoil is that it is unaffected by waves. The video really should have shown this to remove any doubts.

Show it in 2 foot rough water, and show what happens when this craft make a beach landing.

How nice, you hide the sound with music. What marketing genius came up with that idea ? Your big selling point should be the sound compared to noisy gas powered engines. The video gives you no clue. You should have a gas powered boat go by at the same speed and then the quadrafoil. Do you think all people on the waterfront keep headphones on all the time ?

When is it available in Switzerland ? That boat has a water and sun protection (people might be very wett when big waves), road transportation and solar panel somewhere as options ? How to charge the batteries easily at home ?

Thumbs up! This is really cool. The only thing (in my opinion) is that they need to improve the design a little bit, looks futuristic and very cool but it could be even better. More minimalistic with less straight shapes and less "wings" without affecting the aerodynamic, off course... :)

Quadrofoil Q2 is unfortunately not suitable for towing other vessels or pulling water-skiers.
congratulations on forward thinking - hydrofoils and electric outboards such as torqeedo are the way of the future. less power at higher speeds and rechargeable more reliable batteries are all here. get me a bit faster model and I am your buyer....
I love how it says less t€ 1.00 per hour hat that really is not considering the €22,000+ (Aus $33k) price tag. Overpriced for me more in the 10-15k good luck though may look again when the price drops
This will only get my vote of confidence if its able to properly operate in 2-5 feet swells.

how deep is the water needed at standstill? is it safe to drive through coral zones? can it handle high waves?
You need approx. 1 m of depth, when hydrofoils are lowered. Draft in motion depends on the speed so it's hard to say whether it is safe to drive in certain ares - it is up to the driver to decide. When foiling, it can handle up to 0.5 m of waves.
How many cycles before the batteries are dead, and how much does it cost to replace them? I can't find anything on your website. It really is a bit misleading to brag about how cheap it is to run and maintain, and not include these details. It should be considered as part of running expenses, but you conveniently overlook it.
Would look cool if it had a removable canopy
Hope people using this don't hit any waves (and I am not talking about choppy water) such that the valley made by the waves goes below the hydrofoil.....resulting in the boat crashing down into the water (hopefully not sinking).
The more the boat weights...the harder it will hit the water if it loses enough lift.
