Actual fun fact: the author of Revengeance soundtrack Jamie Christopherson had no metal music experience before tackling Metal Gear Rising. His forte is orchestral and electronic music and he had to make MGRs metal soundtrack while learning about it himself. And he absolutely killed it.

Idk if this is your first time listening to this song, but if it then holy fuck, the fact that you can pick up on the pitch used AND the fact that this is improv and sounds like it belongs with the song is incredible. You are very gifted and talented
This is not that difficult. You need experience doing this kind of stuff, know your scales and keys, decent relative pitch (or absolute pitch). The actually difficult part is composing bangers like this one

this is of course by taste, but imo "I'm my own master now" is the worst song from all of the boss themes. It isn't bad overall tho, the other ones are just that much better

i remember the first time i played this game. I had just gone on a binge from Snake Eater to MGS4 and had seen what i thought was the death of Raiden and then i heard about this game and i bought and downloaded this game and MAN LET ME TELL YOU Rules of Nature TO THIS DAY stays on my playlists. i still get CHILL when i hear that song. The whole game is amazing but nothiing gave me chills like going toe to toe with metal gear rex with raiden and ALL of his angst

This was fucking sick dude, i havent heard someone improv so hard like that in ages, I finished the game a few weeks ago and I've replayed it 4 times already, (still haven't beat very hard difficulty) and I absolutely recommend playing the game even if its just for the music because it won't disappoint

He really should check any of the battle themes for named monsters in Xenoblade, heck, there's so many themes I'm sure he'd have a blast with in Xenoblade period.

I was also buissy playing zelda ocsrina of time, zelda wind weaker. Godeneye, timesplitters 2 and other gsmes. I still have both disk's somewhere.... i have always loved the caracter design of that guy. I mean dual katanas? Can you gett more badass?

So another person commented that Jamie Christopherson composed for MGR with no prior metal experience, only classical and electronic. Fun fact about that is, people who listen to metal, and people who listen to classical, have something neat in common. The brain reacts the same when listening to metal, as it does when listening to classical. Classical used to be what is essentially metal today (In regards to how some people viewed it, like it being the "Devil's music", etc)
