Something that I really appreciate that you do is the amount of detail you go into on team preview of the opposing team, as well as who they start with and switch into.
My son is very visually impaired (blurs not blind) and often has to ask what Pokemon was sent in or started when he's watching you on something outside of our TV. You nearly always explain each enemy pokemon and who's being started/swapped and it makes his day that much easier 😊
Agree! While glasses correct my own visual impairment, sometimes my fatigue and pain make it so that I can only listen, not watch, and Aaron is always one of the main channels I turn on during those flares!
100%, sometimes I watch these while doing chores cuz it's relaxing, it's nice to not need to be at my phone and just do some dishes while keeping track of the battle.
Daim that is amazing
This comment made my day! You sound like an amazing father/person, Cyber is great, and best of luck to your son on his pokemon adventures!
Ok it's 1:35 am here and I might get an earful from my mother but I am not going to bed before finishing this video
S L E E P
Me too bro lol from India
@@Susmaster_69 yooo my man
Thank you for watching, please get some rest
Yup!!
Bless….. cuz If I see another team that’s tornadus-chien pao-urshifu-heatran I’m going to explode
i dont think ive ever seen a thumbnail thats intrigued me so much lmao i love all those mons
HOLY COW! Was just watching for the guides and learning more about VGC, but finding a team that runs 3 of my top 5 favourite pokemon is a JACKPOT!
I feel robbed 😂, been using a ceruledge, galarian moltres team for months. Even had a carbink in there too. Did really well in the ladder, topped out at top 50 at one point
Hi Aaron! You probably don’t know/remember who I am but it was great to see you again at Pittsburgh! Making top 64 with your team is impressive! Hope to see you at another reg soon. :)
I played Bryan Kim round 8 of Pittsburgh against this team!! This team is so weird but so cool. I honestly didn’t know Decidueye was in this format until I saw it on his team sheet lol. We had a really close 3 game set I narrowly won. So cool to see you feature a cool team with some under-appreciated pokemon!
Decidueye will always disappoint me. It's movepool, is one of the most expansive. But it's far too slow and doesn't hit hard enough. It also doesn't have nearly enough bulk to be a truly good support option. Even with priority to help bypass the speed option to an extent, the aforementioned issues are prevalent. I can't help think meowscarada would just be better but understand the very specific niche in this situation.
Decidueye's stats and typing are so depressingly bad. Meanwhile Incineroar is the VGC GOAT
I hate how they made all Gen 7 starters slow. All generations except 7 have that one starter that was fast or at least fairly fast.
QOTD: I love all the new and returning Pokémon, I’ve been using Sinistacha on showdown and I love it. Keep up the good work ✌
the pokemon on the team are so cool, great video as always! decidueye was a very good antimeta pick for me in the format
My boy Aberan made it🥲
Ohhh, I love these mons! I love that you're always giving things a shot.
Valiant is my favorite Pokémon and it was so sick to see you using it!
That was such a fun team. You should do more like these
I played this team/Brian at Pittsburgh and he piloted it super well and it gave me a ton of trouble
QOTD: I love the new DLC. It's way better than Isle of armor. And I'm liking all the new pokémon. I feel like in pokémon they were really scared of hitting a thousand pokémon. In this generation I feel like they embraced it.
Oo, this looks like a fun team with some mons I really like. Decidueye, Valiant, and Ceruledge are such cool designs. *adds rental to list*
Has been a while without seeing ceruledge in action. Havent seen iron valiant before on vgc, epic
love to see you use iron valiant
cant wait for videos with all the new mons its gonna be fun
Your content is awesome please keep up the uploads ❤
I like how every pokemon has protect and the only non stab attack is ice beam.
QOTD: I'm really excited for the DLC :3 I've never touched pokemon vgc, but because of morpeko I kind of want to try my hand and have some fun with it one day ^^
QOTD: I loved the poison trio and the Ogre guy. I'm looking forward to using them or seeing them being used in competitive VGC. Of course, it would be a delight if I can see you feature a team consisting of them!
I love the new animations :)
the new camera angles are fire
Cant wait for the green tea, the Freddy Fazbear and the little BONK fella to be used in vgc
I'm trying to find a reliable core for Mewtwo in reg G, and the best partner I've found so far is Iron Valiant with Focus Sash and a full utility set (Wide Guard, Helping Hand, Quick Guard, Shadow Sneak). The combination of protective moves, ghost priority and helping hand is pretty devasting, especially with a Choice Scarf/Tera Normal set on Mewtwo, with Expanding Force, Focus Blast, Shadow Ball + Flamethrower. I'm as surprised ad you are that no one seems to be running Wide Guard, this lead can handle most common cores fairly easily!
This is the first reg D team ive seen that i actually really want to play
Great video
Decidueye looked like a buff dude in the thumbnail
I see ceruledge i click ❤❤ arron with another banger thanks man
Now this is my jam.
You should try Gengar/Iron Valiant with focus sash and destiny bond…catches lots of folks off guard!
I have had really good luck with moltres
Just tested it - at least Showdown, using Shed Tail allows you to switch out of Spirit Shackle, and I'd guess by extension, switch out of Jaw Lock and Shadow Tag as well
What do you use for Team Breakdown? I am trying to start going into team building?
QoTD: The DLC was very fun, Ogerpon is adorable and I'm happy to have the best route 1 bug (vikavolt) as well as the funny ghost lighting in chandelure back.
3 ghost types!!
- Glastrier probably
Iron Valiant my beloved
Game 1 is giving insane deja vu and idk why
Yo, i love Iron Val, such a cool Mon
Omg I lost to the original team at worlds, that guy was so fun and crazy
Did they add new camera angles in PvP battles with the DLC update? Looks different to me.
Yes, they are new. I think they unveiled the new camera angles during the recent world championship matches.
@@alexo5577 Nice, it makes the battles look better imo
ABERAN MADE OT OUTTA THE HOOD WITH THIS ONE
Long reach is such a subpar situational ability.
I wonder given the sitrus berry if the hands in game 1 was randomly belly drum
I think I’ll start my vgc experience with this team😂. Another subscriber for you! Not much but a plus is a plus.
Edit: How would you guys optimize this team for better cover and for weakness?
Awesome how wholesome the comments are, humanity has hope...if one everyone just played/loved pokemon 😂
Played against this team yesterday on MAX rank and was super interested by the decidueye.. "There's no way that's NOT scope lens Decidueye!", I thought.
I ended up winning the match with water Tera amoongus and choice specs spectrier, but not before losing my gastrodon and another 'mon to Decidueye
Team more balanced than my diet...
I missed your videos, Mr. Aaron "Cybertron" Zheng:
> Underused
> Iron Valiant
Singles players bewildered
gen 10 dlc 1 it will drop
Orthworm my hero
27:33 trust me, Body Press would not have knocked out the Ceruledge :P
I'd like to see you playing with Empoleon
i have been trying to think of how to make iron valiant work, as one of my favorite pokemon probably ever
I'm currently trying out Bulky Valliant with Assault Vest, unfortunately I haven't been able to play that much yet but it hasn't disappointed me in the matches so far
I'll always watch if I see decidueye in the thumbnail. It's the most mediocre starter, but it's my favourite
I think the DLC was fine, if a bit short. I managed to 100% it in like 5 hours and I wasn't even trying that hard, the thing that took the longest was to wait for people to catch up so I could do the trade evolutions. Ogerpon is one of the most interesting legendaries they've introduced. Kind of lackluster returning Pokemon, but Isle of Armor was the same when the second DLC is going to be much bigger.
If nothing else, the reward for finishing the entire Kitakami Dex is well worth it for any VGC player.
Oh no… Iron Valiants nickname ☹️
QOTD: love the new pokemon and got a shiny spinarak so i’m enjoying it so far (i didn’t do the main storyline yet tho)
qotd: dlc is okay. its a bit on the short side but theres a lot of interesting mon i look forward to seeing on ladder. lousy trio, ograpon sinescha are probably the most obvious but i think theres a few interesting returning mons as well like alolan ninetales and alolan sandslash and shiftry and bloodmoon and empoleon
QOTD: I'll try to keep spoilers to a minimum since some people may have still not had the chance to play the DLC yet. I thought the DLC was interesting. The story was weird and disjointed, the motivations of the villagers were not explained. The new characters were strange, one of them proves Pokémon learned from Hop in SwSh and I'm excited to see him in the Indigo Disk and the other one was straight up rude and I was forced to side with them which I did not like. I did like the location though and its positioning geographically in the Pokémon world.
The new Pokémon are also interesting.
- Sinistcha seems quite strong for what it is, I think it will have a lot of success on pivot-heavy balance teams. Matcha Gotcha is also very interesting, it gets access to Trick Room and Scald too.
- Dipplin was a dissapointment in that Supersweet Syrup doesn't activate like Intimidate does but rather like Intrepid Sword. I think because it has that niche it will do well in restricted formats with Groudon + Flutter Mane? or Tornadus + Kyogre alongside Incineroar, but I'm not holding my breath.
- The Loyal Three legendaries are dissapointing. I'm really stuck on how to use any of them. Fezandipiti has a niche in being a Glimmora of sorts with Icy Wind and Toxic Chain but there's no moves it can use Technician with. Someone might be able to make Munkidori work as a pivot that has a chance of spreading poison with Fake Out and Parting Shot. Frisk is useless in OTS formats. I don't know how I'm supposed to use Okidogi at all. It's just a middling speed Pokémon with no obvious uses IMHO.
- Ogerpon is busted. I think even the Rock Mask has a niche on Sand teams. I love the Water form with Water Absorb and the fact it can learn Follow Me is interesting. The Grass and Fire forms are amazing offensively as well. Two things I dislike: the fact that the Teras are fixed and I wonder if Ogerpon has completely power crept both Amoonguss and Rillaboom out of the meta. Obviously both still have their niches in sleep and Fake Out, but it makes me worried.
- Bloodmoon Ursaluna feels like on paper it's worse than Hisuian Ursaluna. Yes, it has the niche in 140BP special move and Scrappy, but it's a lot less specially bulky than its older counterpart and it's slower than its counterpart in Trick Room. Not sure how I feel about it.
- Returning Pokémon I think will do well are Ninetales-Alola, Weezings, Milotic, Dusclops, Conkeldurr. I wish I could say Kommo-o would be good, but Flutter Mane exists unfortunately.

How can Gastro be underused???
Sorry but you sound too much like Xrd Bedman
Oh come i have for weeks now been using decidueye and then just some pro player uses it and now hes the fantastic player?
H😱o😱l😱y😱 s😱h😱i😱t 😱!!! My boy Aberan is a PRO PLAYER NOW?!!?!?!?? Thank you for validating his and my life 🤪❤😘
I mean no one knows that you play with decidueye
@@rpjoca4644 I discovered it while teambuilding when i realised that it had a great matchup into the most popular mons reg d like flutter mane (tera ghost max attack shadow sneak life orb OHKO even tanky flutter) Decidueye can also deal with urshifu-RS. And even if you switch your amoonguss in The owl doesnt take any damage bc its ability. For utility can decidueye set up tailwin but also be a setup sweeper
