Who danced each move in Black Mamba best?

- Remember, this is not a full analysis, a ranking, or even really a contest. I’m simply focusing on parts of Black Mamba that I saw certain members do really nicely and sometimes explaining why. This is based off of this practice video alone, only time will tell these girls’ full abilities.
Here is the approx amount of time I ended up focusing on each member:
Karina = 61s
Winter = 48s
Ningning = 37s
Giselle = 10s
Here are some things I noticed about how each member dances.
Karina
Pretty poised and perfect. She’s one of those idol dancers who always finds herself in a good position from head to toe and knows how to hold her body to exaggerate that. She’s very fluid in her moves and has great control of her body. However, she does sometimes cut corners in the details of the dance.
Winter
Robotically perfect at points and with a bit of a more masculine style than Karina. Particularly she has great torso movements and head movements. While this killer sharpness helped in some places, in others she was a bit too on the nose and lacked that energy that the move might have required.
Ningning
Definitely a ton of stage presence in this one. Particularly her chest movements are notable. While they aren’t as technically refined, she really uses body waves or chest pumps (or even little shoulder moves) to really add to the snake vibe of the dance. I’d say she sells the overall mood the best. I think a control over the entire body may be lacking, perhaps she forgets a bit about her lower body position while trying to showcase the charisma, but it’s hard to tell from this one vid.
Giselle
While Giselle is very clean with all the moves she pulls off, she lacks accuracy with those she does not. She mostly won’t prep a move correctly which leads to her needing to rush to start or finish a sequence and cutting more corners which ultimately looks awkward. I think just more refining on those little details could make a huge difference for her.
Ningning walking is the most satisfying part of all the choreography.

Karina : Leg movements
Ning ning : strongest movements
Giselle : Deatails
Winter : body flow
Karina’s arm movements and executions too, I personally think she has the best dynamics in the group. I can’t believe people doubt her as a main dancer. Ningning extends her movements, it’s what makes her a great dancer. Giselle has extended and detailed moves. Winter is a fluidity-focused dancer so her movements are flowy and connected. Aespa are talented indeed.
Giselle's strongest suit is definitely hip movements.
Also idk what the term is called but when winter “pops” with her head 1:35 and 2:35

@@mp-fx8nt There are some videos of professional dancers and dancers in general in CZcams that explains and justifies why Karina is the main dancer of aespa. Even in this video, she shines in most parts. :)
Edit: Karina is a clean dancer. Some people perceive it to be "stiff" but in reality, her movements are a mixture of different dance styles. It's really impressive how she incorporates all these styles.

i don’t really know why but ningning stood out to me the most in terms of performing the choreo, i feel like she has really awesome stage presence and pretty good body control, she’s like mesmerizing to watch lmao

Well great as in the idols come out strong as heck at performing but horrible in terms of conditions for them as people. Although, maybe they have changed in the last few years.
Yeah it feels like Karina is the best at strong and sharp movements abd is definitely the best dancer out of the girls but Ningning is able to put her own personality into the choreography and it makes her stand out

Ningning's confidence and stage presence is absolutely insane! So many moves in this song rely on a strong presence (strutting etc) and she just KILLS it

Ningning is pretty much my bias at this point cause she just really has a lot of control over the stage. She just commands a lot of attention to herself with her expression and movements. She may not be the best dancer but she has a lot of charisma. Idk how she’ll handle other concepts compared to the others but with this song in particular she excelled a lot. I like Winter a lot she was my initial favorite but Ningning really caught my eye upon second viewings.

Karina's control of her arms (down to fingers) and legs is so impressive. the stylist constantly gives her the most revealing and uncomfortable outfits but she is unphased by it and you can still tell she's the main dancer. overall really impressive

@itgirl _lami In choreographies the main dancer will stand out wether it's their style or not. If it's another member's style then they will shine in the choreography with them.
Main dancers will be the ones you will always look at in choreographies because that's what they're best at. Whether if another member fits a concept the most, the main dancer will shine either way in choreos.
In ice cream cake both seulgi and Irene stood out. Irene stood out in charisma while seulgi stood out in technique

Karina’s moves are just so crispy👏🏽 that’s like the word for it. They’re so on point and looks effortless.
Main dancer. What i always noticed. From Kai and Karina, the details. For example, in black mamba simple head move beat, Karina did it without miss but others tend to leave it probably bcoz it such small gesture. But, it's the details of their moves. That's why main dancer is main dancer.

Some of them even manage to add some extra gesture or movement on their choreography such as Taeyong which makes them noticable compared to the rest, I do hope this implies a lot for SM main dancers cuz I enjoy it a lot watching them

I still can't believe there are people who say Karina doesn't deserve the main dancer position, she has really clean moves and insane body control. When I first saw their performance, I could clearly tell she's the main eventhough not knowing their positions. I really think she has the potential of being one of the best kpop female dancers of 4th gen, she's killing it till now!

ningning is a good dancer but not the best in aespa, at first i thought she was prob one of the best but after watching her fancams and overall the group in more detail what she has actually is stage presence that make her stand out the most
And that is the most important in performing .. you can be a group that dances very in sync but without stage presence you will be too boring to watch
this is a slap to the haters who say ningning isn't a good dancer
this is why karina is the main dancer.

It's very well timed and I like how she slows it before really whipping which better matches the beat than just doing perfect circles!
Karina kinda reminds me of Momo. Does the move as is. No shortcuts with the steps. Elaborate and never misses the beat. Love her ponytail too.

Ningning may not be lead or main dancer but she completely kills it with the attitude and sense of musicality I really love watching her
Ning Ning is more of a charismatic hit or miss type of dancer. She's definitely the weakest among the girls but there are some moves that she grabs the attention. Karina of course is worthy of main dancer title.

Ningning is really underrated. She has the best control and fluidity in her chest, which makes her shapes more dynamic. I think she’s got more solid hip-hop basics, which let her groove better.

At 2:20 I always knew when Giselle did that move it caught my eye. It just seemed more smooth and fluid than the others. I was hoping you pointed that out thank you. I also like the weird hand move that winter does. Strange but addicting and fun to do 😆

the dance focused more on drawings but is limited by the number of members unlike Loona, Twice or IZ*ONE; so expect some awkward movements or steps meant to fill in some gaps
I definitely see what you mean but the backup dancers could fill these gaps. I think the choreo has some really stand out moments but others that aren't so great. The members themselves didn't make weird steps or anything and no awkward movements were to do with the amount of them

@@cutiieeepatootieee2002 i think, its more on choreography and vibe of the song combined or how a group of dancers dance and carry the whole song depending on the concept, story or emotion they are trying to convey like IZ*ONE (flower formation in La Vien Rose, Swan formation on Secret Stlry of the Swan), Loona (Butterfly ripples in Butterly) or Twice (Feel Special and More n More)
@@soshimochi556 1:18 is the awkward transtion/movement I could point out in this choreography, despite having back up dancers it was not able to really deliver unlike how Everglow and Dreamcatcher utilizes their backup dancers - if there is an additional member, this movement could be better with a small change, like how RV's dances are executed

Honestly, all the girls are amazing, and NingNing’s dance skills are astonishing, since usually in kpop groups the main vocalist is “the worst dancer in the group.” I myself am a dancer and I very much prefer dancers who have sharper moves rather than not so charismatic/energetic dancers, but the girls are still breathtaking with their talents and skills in areas of dancing. Some feedback (I’M NOT HATING, JUST GIVING CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM) is that NingNing is less stiff and Winter along with Giselle show a bit more energy/charisma when they dance (they don’t have to, but I feel like dancers who have lots of sharper moves and more energy seem more professional, but being fluid is great as well. For example, Karina has sharp yet fluid moves), but, they are monster rookies.
