- (June 2021) The service at this hotel was amazing. I left my laptop behind and they contacted me and returned it to me. The rooms are nice but the elevators leave some to be desired.

This property looks similar to the La Quinta Inn & Suites Orlando Airport West! Exterior corridors and 2 older Otis elevators similar to these!
It was a nice hotel.
This looks exactly like an old La Quinta in Gainesville, Florida. Had the same ramps and older series one Otis. It is now a Days Inn because they built a new La Quinta next to it.

Normally at small inns like these, you'd expect the quality to be terrible and extremely junky. But you said the rooms were nice and the fact that they even returned your laptop to you when you lost it was nice. But these elevators have seen quite some better days.
Rooms were fine. Elevators not so much.

It runs quite efficiently for an old hydraulic, i appreciate theres better ones like hydroware but I bet a replacement will be a lot slower!

I go to a macys at a local mall I go to that has a very worn out Montgomery vector traction elevator and its way worse than this none of the call buttons light up, the inside direction indicator is actually missing and the door operator was the really bad part it was so worn out that the doors open and close very slowly and by the time they finish the opening sequence they start closing and the elevator actually starts moving before the doors are fully closed which could actually be quite dangerous because someone could easily pry it open and get stuck because it will engage the door safety and normally when an elevator shuts down from engaging the door safety the only way to get the elevator working again is to go on top flip it into manual mode then back into automatic mode and you cant do that from the inside and you'll be stuck in it

Very nice Otis series 1 elevators. They need a little maintenance on these because I’m guessing that they are low on oil
Not low on oil. Just needs some cleaning mainly.
The motor was not loud enough so I thought it was low but it was my mistake but anyways these are very beautiful Otis series 1 elevators and never saw those chimes ring like that
Neglected is more like it. LaQuinta isn't known for good maintenance.
