He’s an interesting guy. He was a four season varsity high school athlete. I think he was valedictorian or salutatorian of his high school. He started college at Vanderbilt university for engineering and dropped out to pursue music. Some people are just blessed with so many talents and he’s one of those fortunate souls. Smart, athletic and musically gifted.
He’s a country artist but a lot of his songs would be technically categorized as blues or R&B. The time signatures the chord progressions the phrasing is blues.

Alot of his songs are blues influenced. Before he went out on his own to do his own music he wrote for 10 years and had over 190 something number one hits with other artists playing his songs. Please check out his live at the CMA Awards show where he did his song " cold ".

If I could get that guitar for $300 I’d snap it up in an instant. That’s a 1950’s era Gibson LG-2. It’s not all original, so it is a player’s guitar, but that ain’t no $300 by any means
@srhodes6963 It's what he paid for it at a second hand store. He had to basically replace everything but the body. He has alluded to picking mud out of the body in the rebuild process. That was also a fair number of years ago.
Admittedly calling it a $300 Guitar at this point is a bit of an exaggeration, but I just thought it was cool that he saw what it could be (back when he had more time than money).

Awesome reaction 😁❤ ive been away a while.. Just been going thru a bit of my own depression.. It got so bad I even stopped going to church which was the one thing that kept me going.. Finally had to pick myself up and get back in the saddle.. Like you said, crying isn't always bad.. It really does cleanse the soul to a point. I'm glad to be back in my happy place with church and happy to be able to see your reactions when I can. Keep making folks smile! 😊❤

It’s definitely about a male being able to show his emotions. Doesn’t really matter race, but as a male we are taught not show emotion. At least how I was brought up, which has impacted me through many relationships.
