The problem was I had a gameboy and she didn't realize I couldn't play the one she got me, she bought me a different one later because she's the best. But one day, my parents got me a DSI for my birthday, imagine my surprise when on a whim I asked what had ever happened to that old game she bought me by mistake, and it turned out she had kept it in a shoebox in her closet for seven years after the fact. I called my first ever Magikarp Bishop. He's been the Magikarp of all my Pokémon games thus far. Evolving him into Gyarados was always awesome, and he earned his place in every of my constant rosters for decades.
Later, I went even further and bred a Magikarp, gave it an Everstone and trained the ever loving hell out of it. It became one of my most powerful Pokémon ever. xD

    Great video guys :D
My precious Pokemon memory was with Pokemon Gold, when I was in the middle school. After winning the League the first time and then defeating the Kanto Gym Leaders, I finally went to Mt. Silver. My team was around levels 40-50 and when I arrived at the end of the dungeon I found a trainer. I talked to him, thinking that he would be an easy challenge, then, after his dialogue was just three points and after the introducing battle screen, I realized he was Red! When I saw his Pikachu around level 70 I just thought "Ok, I'm f***ed!", and he easily wiped my team. Then I made some changes, took some grinding to make my Pokemon stronger and finally I had my revenge. That team still remains the one I have got more attached to. Thank you Feraligatr, Scizor, Tyranitar, Crobat, Espeon and Umbreon, together we defeated the undefeatable!

I was only like 5 or 6 when I got Fr/Lg and I distinctly remember grinding up on victory road after getting wiped and finding a shiny sandslash. Now heres the thing, I was only like maybe 7 at the oldest at that time, didn't know what shinies were, and I missed the star effect when the battle started. So young me saw the red spines, figured it was weird, and caught it.....only to learn YEARS later that I found something absurdly rare (reminder this was back when the shiny odds were 1/8,192 and sandslash also only have a 5% spawn chance on victory road). So since then, I have always had a soft spot for sandslash and just like my very first ever starter I have brought it through every game to current gen alsoas a lover of Ice types I was extremely happy for alolan sandslash.

I don't know, the gameplay clock only logs up to 999:99 in playtime. However, the memorable part only comes years later, playing it for nostalgia purposes while in university. It was there that I discovered, for the first time in my life, that there was a distinct "morning" time of day in Pokemon Gold.

Because not only did you get a whole new pokemon adventure, not only did you get a free shiny if you were good enough with the red gyrados, but you got to travel to Kanto and you got to fight the protagonist from the first game. You ever notice how the choice of starter Pokémon is the only time in the game you decide on a difficult level?
The specifics vary by gen, but looking at gen 1, starter #1 gives you type advantage for 2 gyms and is neutral in gym 3, starter #2 gives you advantage for 1 gym, neutral on gym 2 and disadvantage in gym 3, where starter #3 is neutral to gym 1, at a disadvantage for gym 2, then back to neutral in gym 3.
It’s a super subtle piece of game design and I absolutely love it.

So, my biggest Pokémon memory was back during Diamond and Pearl.
I had Pearl, and I remember there being this character who gives you an egg that eventually hatches into Riolu. Obviously Riolu was a big deal back then, because everybody wanted Lucario, and it’s still a fan favorite even today. I wasn’t big on Lucario myself, but my friend was, so I wanted Lucario basically just to flex on him (even though he had it too - not sure what my thought process was). Anyway, I trained it up to evolve it, and when it eventually happened I was equal parts hype and confused.
You see, my Riolu had originally been male when I hatched it. And I must have run into some sort of extremely weird glitch, because when it evolved into Lucario, it became female. To this day I still don’t understand that, but it’s probably the most memorable moment I have in Pokémon.
Well, alongside the time that same friend convinced me to trade him a shiny Tentacruel because they supposedly weren’t a big deal. Curse you…

I think my favourite memory of any Pokémon game was catching my Mimikyu in Sword. When I played Ultra Moon, I loved Mimikyu from the second I saw it, and I got one easily in the game. But when I played Sword, I realised I couldn't fight the Ghost Captain or whatever. I got kind of upset 'cause Ghost types are my absolute favourite, but because I pick which game off of the game-exclusive legendary, and I didn't like the Shield legendary too much, I didn't get it. But then I just made a team of mostly ghost types (save for Zacian and my Inteleon). But I didn't have Mimikyu. When I heard that, yes, Mimikyu IS in Sword and Shield, I worked towards catching one. I literally did twenty minutes worth of research to figure out the best way to catch one. I found one in the specific patch of grass in the Wild Area, and I used my weakest Pokémon (it was my Chandelure at the time) but the move was a crit, and the Mimikyu died in one hit. I reloaded my save like 5 times, but the Mimikyu didn't respawn. So I did yet more research and saw that there's a small chance to get a Mimikyu Dynamax raid in a specific den only if it has a rare beam. I spent about 3 hours reloading my game to get that rare beam and make it a Mimikyu. But then I finally got it.
I've never taken that Mimikyu off my team, and it's my strongest Pokémon

This is a bit of a long story but here is my Pokemon Presh Mem.
So with most Pokemon, either they're legendary Pokemon that has a dedicated spite in the overworld and you can battle them by interacting with the sprite, or they're your starter and it's just a matter of choice, or you randomly encounter them in the wilds and you decide you like the look of them. However, in the original Pokemon Ruby there is a legendary Pokemon called Latios that becomes available after you beat the Elite Four, but unlike Groudon and Rayquaza who are in a fixed location in the overworld, Latios spawns in tall grass or whilst surfing on a Pokemon's back, BUT there's only one Latios in the game. Most people know that the in-game Pokedex has an entry that tells you where on the map that Pokemon spawns once you've seen it once in battle (unless it can only be acquired through trading or evolution), but what I don't often see people talk about is that when you see Latios after the 5% ish chance of it spawning, is that the Pokedex tells you which zone it's currently spawned in from then on, and you learn that Latios relocates when you walk through a level transition, so if you walk through a level transition there's a 1/20 or so chance of the Pokedex telling you it'll spawn in your area, at which point it's close to 100% that it will be the first thing to spawn when you actually enter the tall grass.
Nothing in the game tells you to do this and this is one of the rare things that I discovered all on my own, so I stocked up on Ultra Balls and I kept on walking through the level transition until Latios spawned for me a second time, I didn't catch it that time but I did the same method again a few weeks later before I managed to tag him with a successful Ultra Ball, he has a high chance of fleeing but I didn't save my Master Ball. I'm gonna be charitable and say that catching 80% of the Pokemon in any given game basically doesn't require any effort because it's just a matter of grinding, so acquiring them doesn't feel special, but my Latios took genuine patience and effort on my part so owning the Pokemon actually feels special, I was devastated when I lost the cartridge that my unnamed Latios lived in.

So i used to love Pikachu when I was younger as i had started that journey at age 10. But over time, it started to wane as i saw how popular it was becoming, so i decided to seek out a different Pokémon to like. Flash forward into my early 20s, this was during the time I was working at a mall and also was getting into drawing Pokémon as humans, which started out as what the trainers would look like dressed as the partner Pokémon.
One day, I had finished working and waiting for my dad to come pick me up (i was learning to drive at the time), and decided to stop by the Hot Topic store. I was browsing around and the Rise of Darkrai DVD caught my eye. This is during the Gen4 era, but because I didn't have a GBA or a DS at the time, i wasn't able to play the Gen3 or 4 Pokémon games. I bought the movie and watched it when I got home. I immediately fell in love with Darkrai and for years tried to get him in any game i came across which was through events.
But what was frustrating was that you couldn't rename event Pokémon in the early games ( trust me, i tried) and i wanted to name him Issac because

      Just hated her.
Nowadays, i still make human Pokémon as a project since Issac was the one that inspired me (500+!), and with Legends Arceus and Brilliant Diamond out, i was able to catch Darkrai in both games and give him his proper name in-game! Seeing him with his name popping up in battles makes me happy.
