I love love ❤❤ Cadence 7. I just love the groveness of the beat and how they dance with their drums. Absolutely amazing Cadence and videos keep up the good work guys👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
This makes me wonder if there's ever been a serious attemps to integrate a HBCU inspired show into a competitive setting like DCI. I understand there is a lot of showmanship and visual uniqueness in it so it would be interesting to see what would come out of such an effort!
Cadence 3 or 6 definitely would be fun ones to learn. A video on HBCU style visuals would also be very cool, or maybe going through different styles of visuals like dci, HBCU, ancient rudimental etc. Keep the awesome content coming!
WOW, this is SUPER SUPER SUPER great!! Ok, I will say it: In watching this video and NSU this year, I think it's safe to say that HBCU rivals DCI at this point! In content, clarity and showmanship too!!
Imagine being just before battle centuries ago and hearing this sick drumline and you make the nasty face as you bob your head moments before getting taken out by musket fire.
Fantastic, I managed to see the best USA Drunline of the last 10 years in a single video... I love simplifying these cadences so that my corporation can perform in the interior of Brazil. Animation + techniques = big applause. Congratulations
First time finding your channel and loved watching you learn portions of drum books. I looks like it's been awhile but I would love to see you do my favorite drumline of all time in Crown 2009! Possibly the opener or closer.
Really cool to see like a top secret style in 4 thru 6. Although maybe just because I’m European. 4 is my favrioute all were great keep up the good work
Hi, I’m trying to learn a snare part from the movie drumline that you didn’t cover, I was wondering if maybe i could send it to you and you look over it? Your videos are tremendously helpful. I’ve learned so many things watching your videos. The way you break everything down is the best and most important part that I adore
I can never decide which one’s my favorite because each one was so fun to learn and perform so I’ll say Cadence 1-10😂but great video by even greater percussionists🥁🔥
This video is fantastic! Thanks for making and sharing it. I also record loud drums in Brazil and use the Tascam X6 handheld recorder with the 32bit float setting. It would be perfect for this vid. It doesn't get blown out. I just bought it this year and it's awesome. This isn't like a paid endorsement BTW... LOL!
Which cadence was your favorite?? Cadence with the most comments gets a full snare tutorial video 👇
I like cadence 3 the most love the video keep up the grind
all of them😭
I love love ❤❤ Cadence 7. I just love the groveness of the beat and how they dance with their drums. Absolutely amazing Cadence and videos keep up the good work guys👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
My favorite was #7. It sounds like “Poison” by Bell, Biv, DeVoe.
Cadence 3
The dedication to actually experiencing a different style is awesome! As someone who marched at an HBCU and WGI this was really dope to see! 💯
Thanks so much!! 🙏🏼
This takes me back to school. Grats Chris. If they aren't messing with you, they don't like you. LMAO
Yeah you right!
Chris looks like he's having so much fun playing with such a different style and now his shoe game is on point!!!
Js or nothing
Nothing gets me more hyped than a good drum line, these dudes are killing it! Lets go!
Thanks Jason!!

I’m currently part of one rn I have to say I’m livin the life rn
LOL the "we where never to be in here" is one of the most percussion things iv ever heard.
Obviously all of them are amazing, but cadence #3 is fire!!!
Another vote for #3!

Yep you gotta show us a performance!
We'll get in for a game for sure!
Jake!!!!!! Blooooo!!!!!
Four and Seven (because it sounds like Poison from BBD) and then ten
I like all of them but #10 was nice!
#10 has also been super popular!
mORE!
Wow I seriously do not miss practicing in an echo-y Bandhall. Points to Jake for making this audible at all
I saw that you marched marimba at PR, SUTA bro!! (snare, 2022)
This video is fantastic! Thanks for making and sharing it.

Oh yeah, and I like #8!
Whew I’m leaning heavy on 4
3 was my favorite. 4 sounded the most like a cadence from Drumline lol. 9 also banged
3 has been popular it seems
Somebody tell me what those left hand spins (the actual spins not the hi-moms) are called I NEED them
Where are you? Miss the videos!
I forgot everyone of these except like 2 of them 😅.. ughhh I miss Atlanta!
Best spot in the world for HBCU talent!
I caught that piece of Ditty in Cadence 2 lol. It sounded nice tho👍
Performance video please!
Lol he looks like he really enjoys being there playing … he’s all the way in his element 😂😂
He's havin a time for sure
Cadence 5 I gotta learn the backsticking phase
Did y’all really do the super mario to start the 2nd cadence?
Yes's I finally 😁😁
Yeah it's been a minute for sure haha
can you PLEASE learn and show step by step how to play JSU daf1 cadence
Do you have extra snare sticks?!
Yep! available on our website! 😉
It’s like a drumming ballerina class
My thoughts exactly
It almost feels like Hard Knocks for drumline!
For sure! haha
Mantap bro
Shoutout to my boy Jalen on Snare! #SSP
#TheA
Guys i think its the hawks
MORE HAWKS CONTENT🔥🔥🔥🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁
We got you my guy
Lmao Daz @12:03 😂
🤣
5:31 is RCC shake hands with THE beef!
Good eye for sure
I think this would've sounded better outside tbh. Still great though
Yeah im sorry but if you get props THE Jeremie Foster then you raw. No question.
Cadence 2 had a section from bd ditty. Or atleast it was damn close
Yeah it all influences itself, lots of crossover with DCI and HBCU drummers teaching each other different exercises
not really the school from drumline, they didnt call him affirmative action once
Haha truuuuuuuu
I prefer cadence 2
another vote for #2!
This video ended racism.
Chris’ playing is IMMACULATE but his dancing needs work. He’s too stiff with it. *LOOSEN UP!* You’re definitely a beast on them skins. Enjoy yourself!
The audio is too roomy
They should get some sound proof panels to control the echo
Lol for sure, when you rehearse at a high school, that's about what you can expect
Couldn't take no more after hearing one through four.... just noise
