  • ProReck Party 15 Portable 15" 2000 Watt PA Speaker System.
    AMAZON:
    smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B...
    Pleasantly surprised with the quality and sound of this system for the price. The microphone is a bit low-end but otherwise, the overall sound is great. I was rocking the walls with the volume set at 50% with the quality of the sound staying intact. The sound is crisp and the 5 toggle equalizer allows you to tweak to the desired sound. Multiple options for audio input (BlueTooth, SD Card, USB, Line In) should cover anyone's needs. Just note that if you want to input digital audio you will need a converter to RC. I have yet to try this, but I would see no issue with these being used outside for a pool party or a banquet room.
    UPDATE 2019-01-18 (Input options)
    Radio - Reception was good. The sound was loud and crisp.
    Line In - Used an audio converter (Digital to RC) from a Samsung TV (PCM mode) and it worked fine. However, I did find that I had to crank the volume up more compared to other input options.
    USB - Found this to be a little picky about which USB Flash Drive brand it would read from. I did get 2 of the 3 tried to work.
    SD - Worked with no issue.
    I still really like the sound on these in regards to how clear it remains at a higher volume.
    Update: 2019-07-09 (Use)
    I have used these several times outside for pool parties, cookouts, and get-togethers. I have not been disappointed. I have also had kids connected via BlueTooth so they could play "their" music. I have connected to a TV during the World Cup to give that theater feel. My next project is to set up a projector with the speakers and have a "Movie Night" by the pool. The speakers have been holding up well even in the hot sun. Note: I attempt to keep them in the shade as much as possible.
    Update: 2019-11-14 (Use)
    I finally had a chance to use the speakers in a large banquet facility. As expected, they did great. One of the audio files that I was using was not very good. Therefore, I had to adjust the bass down a bit with the equalizer to kill the distortion. However, with the other audio sources & files, I was able to put the bass and volume back to where I wanted it. The sound was crisp and solid.

    Just to add my two cents to the comments. If you attempt to use the Bluetooth feature when using a projector for a movie, the audio will not be in sync with the video. No matter what I did I couldn't get it to sync. You just have to use the RCA jacks on the main speaker with a 3.5 mm headphone jack connection on your projector. It isn't as loud as the Bluetooth connection but at least it's in sync. Other than that I haven't had any problems with my speakers.

    • @clarkcast
      @clarkcast  Před 2 lety

      Curious, were you connecting the projector via BT to the speakers or another device? For example, I had a laptop connected to a projector but I ended up connecting my laptop to the speakers via RCA jacks. I didn't even attempt using BT on the laptop but may consider trying next time around.

      Liam Davis I believe they do. Not for a concert hall but pretty good for a backyard or large rooms. They come with a 5-point graphic equalizer that lets you dial it in a little too. Of course you are going to get a better bass on some songs you may have on a flash drive than a poor signal radio station.

    • @clarkcast
      @clarkcast  Před 8 měsíci

      Unfortunately (or fortunately), I have not tried using these as a karaoke device. At the time that I purchased these they came with a low quality microphone. I recall playing around with it and experiencing feedback. But in all fairness, I might have been too close to the speakers. This summer I used a wireless microphone with the speakers and it seemed to be fine but I was 30-40 feet away. Again, that was not karaoke. It was just me speaking.

      It depends on your TV and it's audio out options. I have had these connected to two different brands of TV's. One, I had to use an optical to RC converter ( smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AWBA8U8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ). The other, a simple stereo to RC cable did the trick ( smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B009SPL7XW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 )

    Are this high quality sound and built speakers? Do you have to connect it with those wires to play both speakers at the same time? What if you want to separate each speaker and put one speaker in one corner and the other in the other corner can you use them without the wires? Like wireless speakers?

    • @clarkcast
      @clarkcast  Před 4 lety

      Louis, I have not had an issue in regards to the quality of the sound or build of the speakers. These are not wireless from one speaker to the other. Therefore, you must use the male to male Speakon cable if you want to use both speakers. Mine came with a 30' cable but you can order different lengths from another 3rd party source if you like.

      @@clarkcast Thanks for answering my questions. I'm a little concern in purchasing this speakers because I seen all your 3 videos regarding you receiving the speakers in damaged condition from Amazon. I'm worried if I buy them I might get them damaged and then have to return them and go through all the hassle when I'm very busy and those speakers seem very heavy. I seen a lot of people giving negative reviews regarding receiving the speakers damaged.

    • @clarkcast
      @clarkcast  Před 4 lety +1

      @@louisgabrielle2154 you have a valid concern. I was very frustrated with having to go through the process myself. But I have to say, Proreck and Amazon service was good at getting it done. The speakers do have a little weight to them (one more than the other because one has the main control board) but that is in part to being of better quality in my opinion and not light like some cheap speakers. FYI, they do come with wheels if you wanted to pull them like luggage. Since getting them, I have used them multiple times in various environments and situations. Most recently, I used them at a banquet while doing a video presentation for an end of the year sports event. The way the speakers projected the music across the large room was great. It is times like that is when I was happy to have gone through the hassle of returning and replacing. If you decide to order, let's hope that they have gotten better at the packaging. Plus, let's hope UPS/FedEx will handle with care. Good luck with what you decide to do and thanks for watching my videos.

      @@clarkcast My last questions before I decide to buy this speakers. Are this speakers very loud with good sound quality? This have the LED lights and are bluetooth compatible right? I like the unique and nice looks on this with the speaker stands. I'm interested in this other brand name befree speakers that are cheaper and have all in one disco ball lights with 2 "12 inch speakers that lights up in different LEDs colors and is wireless portable with wheels and handle and could pick it up at Walmart. I like this unique professional look 2 "15 inch speakers.

    • @clarkcast
      @clarkcast  Před 4 lety +1

      @@louisgabrielle2154 Yes, the speakers are very loud. I have yet to put the volume to the maximum setting. The equalizer gives you the option to tweak the sound quality if needed. But remember, the quality is only going to be as good as the source quality. I tried to hook up a cheap TV to the speakers for testing and the audio output on the TV was bad. Therefore, the sound from the speakers was horrible. Yet, I used Radio.com and my phone via BlueTooth and it sounded awesome. Both speakers have the color flashing LED lights that will engage with the higher bass volume. For low volume stuff, not so much. Yes, the speakers have a BlueTooth input option. FYI, there was a musician at the banquet that I did that plays in the area. He uses a single speaker setup and was impressed with what I had and the sound. The setup does give you a little more professional presentation compared to a Karaoke looking type of speaker.

    • @clarkcast

      They should be fine for what you want to use them for. Just make sure your audio output device is good. I recently tried hooking these up to an old TV. To connect a mixer to any powered speaker is to see if it uses RCA cables, quarter inch or XLR speakon cables, the process is easy, just connect the outlet in back of the mixer to the in put on the back of the powered speaker according what type of connective cable it takes.

      Follow up. I have unboxed and tried these and they are great. Very loud and the colored LED feature is awesome. I had the main amp setting at 60% and main volume at 50% with the system volume at 19/30 and it was LOUD. That's confusing at first but when you set this up it becomes clear. Bottom line is at even at 20% capacity I couldn't hear myself talk indoors. These will rock for what I intend to use them for. For the money they are WORTH it.

      Some (not all) TV's have an audio setting that you may need to toggle on or off. It could be labeled toslink, Dolby Digital, or any variation of. There is also a "PCM Standard" setting that you will want to have on. Jot down the settings that you currently have (in case you need to go back) then start playing around with the audio settings on the TV. I had the same issue and I apologized for not remembering the exact steps to correct but hopefully, I have given you enough to head in the right direction. Good Luck!

    I was going to get these but I had a bad experience with a Pyle system that didn't even turn on so I'm afraid to go with these off brand company's anymore I've had more than enough returns for crappy sound or cheaply built stuff. I'm not saying this company is bad I've never tried them but just the fact you got a broken powered speaker makes me leery even with a quick replacement. I bought 2 JBL Party box 310's they costed a LOT more than this set up but the sound is amazing and I can run my guitar with a pre amp through it and play along with backing tracks and the PA isn't bad the effects are crap but I use a vocal transformer and it has all the effects I need on it. Good luck with them I hope they last for you.

      Totally understand your concerns about the off-brand stuff. I have been burnt a few times myself. When I opened the box and saw the damaged speaker for the first time I thought to myself, "Oh great, now I have to fight to get a replacement or credit". But I must say, I was pleasantly surprised with the customer service and how quickly I got another one. It's been over four years and they are still doing great for what I need. I don't believe I have ever cranked them all the way up yet. I would be kicked out of the neighborhood if I did. I wish you well in using your JBL's. Regards!

      The only thing that is wireless about these speakers is the Bluetooth functionality. For example, your phone can connect wirelessly via BT to the speakers. So, if you have songs or an app for music (or other audio) on your phone, you will be able to use BT to play them on the speakers. Everything else is wired. Speaker 2 is wired to speaker 1. Also, the microphone is wired. You may be able to get a BT microphone but I have never tried that. As for using them out on the street; that shouldn't be a problem. I use them outside all the time with great sound quality.
