37685 and 60026, 6H12, 0624 Tyne Dock - Drax, passing Ferrybridge.
60026 failed in York station, causing chaos! After a few calls and a price negotiated, 37685 came to the rescue. I forget how late this ended up running, but I think it was around the 2hr 30-40 minute mark. The train terminated at Sudforth Lane and 37685 returned light to York, as 0Z37.

This is a job for International Rescue
Haha, indeed! Thunderbird Type 3!
Saw one today! Not sure what the loco at the front was, but it was pulling a broken down class 66
Is "Thunderbird" a British idiom for saved/rescued?
I'm just guessing based on what I know about that old IP.
Yep, Thunderbird is an official UK railway/railroad terminology for a locomotive being sent to rescue a failed/broken down train. Usually the head code 1Z99 is used for when the locomotive is en route to rescue the failed train.
@@Simonize41 Okay, that's actually really awesome lol.
Puppet series from 1966, 'Thunderbirds' were a series of multi-purpose craft operated by 'International Rescue', my favourite TV program when I was a kid. They operated out of a 'secret' hidden tropical island, and went to the aid of any plane/ship/vehicle in distress. "Thunderbirds are GO!" Brilliant, kept us on the edge of our seats every week.
@@nlo114 Agreed, it was my favourite show, too. I still watch it regularly. Virgil was my dude!
@nlo114 No disrespect intended friend, but why exactly did you post this?
I know about the show. And that awful movie reboot from my childhood.
What do you like about trains
The pure genius of the idea! A definite “eureka!” moment in terms of transportation.
