I'm from Malaysia, the fact is on a good day 80% of fast food customers are muslims. And all of the 100+ outlets that have shut down are in 90% muslim residents rural area.
The city and metropolis is doing fine as usual.
I used to eat these foods once a week, as a guilty pleasure. At first it is hard to wean off the cravings as it is like a drug. After few weeks I don’t miss it at all, and will never eat them ever again.
