Gonna Play With Fire • Big Rock Band, Fremont Fair

This original song was also recorded by Duffy Bishop, but only released on a short run of cassettes designed to get her a record deal, which she finally got with Burnside Records. that took a couple of years, and the resulting first CD didn't include my song, but Duffy sang it at all her shows for a year or so up around here. I know all 3 songs from this Fremont Fair set of 1987 have been Blues songs, but 5 of the 11 tunes in that set were Rock'n'Roll/Rockabilly, 1 Tex-Mex, and 1 was Jugband Swing. Of the 4 Blues tunes the other 3 are country Blues, and I recorded a Country Blues fingerpicked version of this funky blues on the Circus Dog Blues CD. I also recorded this with this band as well as Filé Gumbo, the latter for the "Mardi Gras In New Orleans" CD.
