For instance they'll let Ash lose his first battle in a new region as a cheap plot convenience to get a rival and when the odds seem impossible for Ash he will just win by the most BS ways possible. Because screw the show they thought kids don't care about logic anyway.

@@EM-br5hq I see a lot of people who think Ash is weak and never wins a battle and should've started out strong or be like Red or whatever, and it always gets on my nerves. Ash being at the level he's at today is only as meaningful as it is because of how bad he stated out. Obviously, his progress wasn't exactly well handled, specially since BW where they reset him and then changed his personality to fit the tone of every series that came after, but I still think it's much better than he ever being a prodigy who was just ridiculously strong from the beginning. Even though he should've definitely won the Sinnoh League.
@@infamousplayer8772 True true. They really made Ash go against someone with MULTIPLE Legendary pokemon in the sinnoh league just so he could lose. He should have won in the Kalos league too since Greninja had a type advantage against Charizard. I kinda wish Ash kept his OG personality though ngl.
