I used to have a beautiful full-length purple wool-blended winter coat that I would wear with a scarf that had red and purple in it and a red vintage Coach Station bag. Gosh, I loved that combo.

I was trying out different outfits for Christmas candlelight service at church and as a joke I put on my red jeans, red sweater and a red blazer and I was astonished at how much I liked the look. So thats what I ended up wearing to church. Oh, red shoes too. Nobody laughed 😅 and I felt and looked very festive. 😂😄

Red is one of my fave colours, it's striking, uplifting and flattering for almost all skin tones.
Not sure I love the red sweater and green skirt together for the reason you said- it just screams Christmas. But I think that same pleated skirt in navy would be gorgeous with a red sweater!
I’m curious if you consider the pleated skirt a trend? Do you like them? I absolutely love them and own two, one in navy and one in burgundy. I’m 29 weeks pregnant but they still look great 😊.
I got a great red leather bag for $3 at a thrift store. I could see why it was donated, it was difficult to open because it had a weird zippered center divider. A pair of scissors fixed that, now I love it.

Thank you for another great video. I've recently bought a pair of red, wide-legged jogging pants from M&S and they are fabulous! I'm styling them with a white shirt and a blue and white knitted vest. We have 'dress-down Friday' at work and I think it would even be perfect for that. I think I'll be wearing it on repeat for the rest of the season!

Here I am 67, and never once thought of putting red and gray together, because red reminded of Christmas. Of course, that’s not the only reason I didn’t wear it. The few times I wore red, always received compliments, but never could see the color hue in my complexion. I can wear blood red, but not Christmas red. May try again as long as the color isn’t against my skin, i.e., blouse or shirt.

I love red, especially with grey. I'm not a huge fan of only red and black together, I have no idea why? However Gemma, your example of the red top, black trousers with the camel coat was gorgeous, I will have to try this look when winter arrives. I had to unload a closet yesterday because of the flooding here in California. I re-discovered that I have a beautiful red blazer (and also a fuchsia one). Things have been so strange in these pandemic years that I’ve started to forget what I have in my extended wardrobe! If these storms ever stop, I’m going to wear these two blazers right away.

I like red with black best. Maybe add in a black and white, or a black & red bag. I have a red wool beret I found at a vintage shop for a song. The perfect classic topper.
Love , love , love red - my everyday handbag is red, as are my shoes! I think the only thing I don’t own in red is a pair of trousers. Probably being a brunette with dark eyes makes it easier for me to wear - I hate pink looks awful on me so that’s a combination I won’t be trying, mainly because I don’t own anything pink😂. I’ve had a red camel hair double breasted blazer for years. Because it rarely gets cold enough here, it’s barely worn. I like to wear it with beige or taupe.

Red and green just look christmasy. Red and pink or red and orange great in the summer. Red and brown look good. The red, black and camel looks nice . Dark red (burgundy ) looks nice with jeans. I don't like red on myself. Don't like red with purple.

Before proceeding, put your intended red items next to eachother & ensure they all match!
If one of the items comes out as orange in shade, please 🙏 do not use it & especially NOT with anything pink… You might come away looking like a layered sorbet 🎉😂!

Why would anyone want to look expensive?? Just because you have money does not give you style or Class.
Also, if you say someone looks expensive, what that actually means is they look like a high priced call girl or hooker!
You're using 'expensive' in the wrong context. You could buy a camel coat, a red blouse and black jeans from Primark or a charity shop for well under a £100 then look classy and put together - expensive - wearing it. Equally you could spend an absolute fortune on designer trackies and look a wreck. 'Expensive' isn't only monetary value and I know which I'd rather look.

The trouble with green and red together is it can look a bit like a Christmas elf but it can work 😀 there’s a lovely picture of Princess of Wales wearing green and red together and she looks great in it.
