    Are you looking for more ground clearance for a steeper lean angle? Want to customize your Yamaha YZF-R3 weapon for more comfort on the street? Or just looking for some ultra trick rears sets to set your bike apart at the next bike night? Hotbodies NEW MGP fully adjustable Rear Sets enable you to customize your riding position in terms of height and longitudinal position, so as to perfect your connection to the bike.
    All MGP rear sets are CNC machined from aircraft grade T6 6061 Billet aluminum and electroplated with a durable finish. They come pre-assembled and use bearings to eliminate friction on the foot lever. They feature a spring-loaded rear brake lever return and include a bracket for the brake light switch so they can be used for the track and for the street. The rear sets feature adjustable foot peg placement, with selections to move them forward or back, or higher or lower. The rear set kit consists of the rear set plates, foot pegs, heel guards and all of the needed hardware (shift rods, etc) to install.

    I know this is an older video - but thanks Van for these walk-throughs. It's like having a personal mechanic walking me through everything. And especially since my r3 was my first bike, it's super helpful to have such clear explanations and steps to avoid any silly mistakes before I know better from gaining experience.

    These are rebranded rearsets, I just got a set from Azn, however they did the same thing I did, find the best set with features that matter, like the brake switch bracketing. My were cheaper.

    can you tell me, my stock R3 rearsets, there is a little metal rod attached to the bottom of the footpeg. this grinds on the road whenever my lean angle is a bit aggressive. is that more of a safety feature for newer riders to let them know their lean angle is aggressive? i have been trying to figure out if i should keep these metal rods or just remove them with a set like this

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  Před 3 měsíci

      You can remove those from the OEM rearsets. This will get you a little more ground clearance. If you prefer you can also replace the OEM's with an aftermarket set that will get you a more solid feel as well as some adjustability. - Van

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  Před 5 lety +1

      GP Shift just works better on the track. Pushing down to upshift makes shifting while leaned over much easier which is something you need to do quite often while track riding. End of the day either standard or gp shifting will get the job done, it's all about personal preference. - Van
