For this actual format (27/09/2023) post banlist and before Age of Overlord release, i will be changing the staples pack and the side deck a little bit:
- Droll -> Move to side. Kashtira is not a thing anymore, and there are some tier 2 / rogue decks that instantly DIES to droll (Salamangreat, Dark World...) but there are other tier 1 decks that just ignore Droll
- Anti-spell fragance -> Move to main. Because i hate Purr and Runick, and Traptrix can TOTALLY play around Anti-spell.
- Fantastical Phantazmay -> Great addition to side, Unchained and Salamangreat will always Link.
- Ghost Ogre -> Great addition to side, vs Purr.
Also i will consider the Bystial package (1 Magnam 3 Druis) and the Therion package (1 Regulus 1 Lily 1 Discolisseum on MD, 1 Aromatherapy Jasmine on ED) if you can afford them. The Therions work pretty well on Traptrix since you can easily put 2 plants on field to combo Jasmine into Lily into Regulus and get a free disruption. Bystials are D.D. Crow on steroids.
My actual staple package on MD is: 3 Ash, 3 Impermanence, 3 Evenly, 3 Anti-spell and the 3 Therion cards (running 2 less trapholes and 1 less Punica than you to fit the 15 cards) and my side deck is 3 Kaiju, 3 Fantastical, 3 Ghost Ogre, 3 Judgements, 2 Drolls and 1 Feather Dust.
I will also 100% recommend to grab some Fantastical Phantazmay copies for the upcoming format.
yeah, the banlist really changed how the deck should be run, and the surprise appearance of unchained took away the importance of maining droll...
too soon to update the list, but it definitely has to undergo some changes!
I find bottomless trap hole is good & Grave Digger are the first to get played and the most useful Grave Digger top hole is underrated
They are very good! I think If unchained stays as the most popular deck, we have to move away from cards like bottomless and floodgate since they destroy or still enable unchained to combo
Gravediggers is so good for Nibiru via Rafflesia!
Nice deck profile. Finally someone who is playing Traptrix without Pot of Prosperity. I dont have Drol lock bird so I ran with 3 Ghost Ogre Snow Rabbit
Droll has fallen out of favor this format anyways! I would play book of moons or even main deck dark ruler no more

Def subscribed! Been getting more into control decks and I have really been enjoying traptrix. Is the Link 2 traptrix worth running with the effect to be able to reset a trap?
Aye! Thanks for joining our community! Traptrix is a ton of fun, but i dont think the link 2 is worth playing anymore, you want to end on Sera, and having Rafflesia for protection and interruption, is almost always better than resetting the trap

Im just not sure how i feel with leaving myself no draw cards in the deck. I am probably about to experiment with jar of avarice as I believe it being a normal trap card might work well in the deck without having to banish cards from the extra deck. It also allowing to put cards back from the graveyard into the deck would be really nice. Im thinking putting 2 jar's and keeping 1 traptantalizing tune will be decent but i must test it in locals first to see.
Jar just doesn't do enough right now in my opinion but let me know how it goes
Nice profile. I dropped put of yugioh earlier this year but i was on Traptrix amd am looking to get back to it.
Only change I'd make is cut the terrifying trap hole nightmare for a second gravediggers. I never want to have my only copy in hand and get nibiru'd, and bottomless can fill its role.
Well I hope you come back! What deck are you thinking about picking up if not Traptrix? Or is that still your go to?
@MattOsheaYGO I'm gonna stick with Traptrix for now, but I might try the latest structure deck. Eventually, I'm getting around to building Sword Soul.

Even when morganite can be played in this deck, I'd say 1-2 field is great, the field spell is just insane in this deck and 3 normals would make this deck go crazy in grind games (hoping formats slow down cause some trap decks having insane grind and I'd love for them to pop off). Also I'm surprised to see 7 holes cause I've seen people "standardize" 5 at max and I think it's such a shame cause there are so many good hole cards to not run 1 of each at min (each good one at least)
the only reason id drop to 1 Field spell with Morganite, is for deck space... also Banishing Trap Hole could see play if the format allows for it so theres ANOTHER trap hole to look at lol
@@MattOsheaYGO I've picked up my play set for banishing and chain, but yeah deck space is definitely a big problem. Unlike other trap decks, traptrix doesn't really have that "one cool brick tech" that I can think of so I (personally) can't justify 40-45.
Maybe needs 3 prosp maybe some TTT
Yeah if you want to add in Prosp go for it! I dont think TTT is necessary though
