I’m so happy I found this video. I always wanted to play traptrixs but between the price of sera and how combo based the deck was they were intimidating. The starter decks made this archetype super affordable and this video made learning the combos super easy ^_^

Also there is a combo that almost nobodys talk about. Pudica + Mantis You normal summon Pudica search for field spell -> activate field spell Link Pudica for Sera Normal summon Mantis search for ATRAX Sera sets Holetea Mantis bounce back Holetea Activate field spell effect banishing Mantis to special summon Atrax from hand While Atrax on field you can activate Holetea from hand without discard other normal trap Then Sera triggers and you can bring to the field whatever you want, your board ends up with sera a 3 4 stars bodys
My dude, you are an absolute pro. You are clear concise and easy to follow on your instructions. I haven't played since Soul of the Duelist and Dark Revelations and this was hands down the best video I've seen to help understand important and common lines of play to get into a key position for the deck. Keep it up and you will definitely grow as more people find your videos.

Great vid, but everybody is sleeping on Atrix. Atrix, let's you activate holeutea from hand without cost plus can't be negated. Also, let's you activate gravedigger as a hand trap that can't be countered either. And you can activate more than one. It's a lil more niche, sure. But it's a great going second card for the deck since your opponent can't negate your holeutea or gravedigger. After all, you can't go first and set up every single duel.
Debunks:you have to waste normal summon on atrax to act the holeutea going first so no sera teigger eff there.Also going second,they just can negate atrax
You can't negate Atrax unless you're talking about her summon. Or maybe a passive negate like skill drain. Her effect doesn't just activate. It's always active. And you get an extra normal summon from traptrix garden. So yes, you can get Sera. With your argument, you could apply that to literally anything anybody says about playing yugioh. "If you do that, your opponent can just negate." Yeah, that applies to literally any play you can talk about. Lol

Thanks for the video, I have a question for traptrix players I saw a bunch of decklists and nobody uses traptrix atrax which allows you to activate traps from hand and prevents the opponent from negating activations of traps and effects of traps on the field (it does not apply to traps activated from hand). It does not allow to start or extend but still, I am assuming one copy could be good. I mean it is easy to bring with sera and if you have a rafflesia it is protected and so it protects your traps activations. The decklist are always 3 myrmeleo 3 mantis 2 or 3 pudica 2 campa 2 dionaea and no other main deck traptrix monster and I dont really understand. Did someone test and does it brick/is it less efficient ?
Before all the support, Atrax was crucial. It doesn't help with protecting activation, but it does protect against negation. I keep at least 1 of each in my casual traptrix for aesthetic. Not necessary for the deck to function now-a-days.
Combo 3 could have been better by searching (i don't know names) the one that search traps instead the one that revives, so instead of seting flood You set the hole that summon itself and normal the one that search holes, searching flood or w/e and then going with sera eff to ss the one that sets You back the flood and then You can keep going with other stuff by having 3 lv 4 monsters and the option to ss the one who banish, back from the Grave (with the new trap if You make a rank 4 that can deteach it like redoer) during opp's turn
Pudica can also be a bit dangerous because she allows your opponent to special summon one of their banished monsters during the next standby phase. That means you might banish one monster and the opponent can special summon one of the other banished monsters they have
Yes, true. Against the wrong deck, that can be a downside. But on the other side you are forcing your opponent to do something your deck is usually prepared for and thats summoning. You can catch their monster, when it returns with Rafflesia or any traphole applicable. And depending on Sera being active, or even the Link 2, you can even benefit out of letting them run into it. So it covers traptrix's weaknesses a bit, which previously were the monsters already on the field before you had your traps up.

The first combo gets out under Nibiru anyway. Myrmeleo 1, Sera 2, Holeutea 3, Dionea 4, rafflesia 5, letting you extend with the other 3 cards in hand or just sit on Rafflesia + Sera + 1 trap + whatever junk is in your hand
In the resolution of the Traptrix Dionaea 2:52, I think it's not possible because it loses timing. Chain 1 is the summon of the Traptrix Holeutea y chain 2 is the Traptrix Será effect, so, first, Dionaea special summons and then Holeutea. It's not possible to gain Dionaea's effect.
that 2nd combo even if you have pinguicula on field and if you banish holeutea to revive pudica to banish a monster they well not be able to summon back that monster because it will become a material for pinguicula since their monster was sent to gy or banished by card effect
@@sinwan92 alomerus also shares a similar effect, though hers special summons the monster to your field and can only be triggered if it was sent by one of *your* card effects, ping has the bonus utility of being able to rip your opponents fusion materials from something like a branded fusion and other neat interactions like that.
On combo 3, Idk if I'm correct, but what I thought about doing was, instead of adding Dionea with Pinguicula, I added Myrmeleo and searched Holeutea with Sera. Extra normal Myrmelo to add a trap, then discard it for Holeutea. Sera effect to summon Dionea to recover the trap I discarded. Having three bodies on the field, I went Allomerus to reborn a name, then overlay into Rafflesia. Endboard is Sera, Pinguicula, Allomerus, Rafflesia, a set hole and Holeutea + Pudica in GY. On combo 4, instead of going Pinguicula, I went for Allomerus detach 2 to return Mantis to field, Sera effect to set whatever, bring bach Arachno and overlay for Rafflesia.
Great video for new player ! But excepte for the first combo, you never played around Nibiru and Nibiru is in near 1/2 main deck now so must be respected.
In the last combo you showed, wouldn't it be more worth to overlay the 2 rank fours into Utopic draco? Just curious, i got the deck and I'm testing for a regional.
Draco Future absolutely isn't worth it in this deck. It's much, much better to make multiple Rank 4s, since combined they're significantly better for disruption than a single monster negate that takes up 2 Extra Deck slots. You've got enough negation and disruption as is tbh.
Much as I love the deck, I don't particularly think it excels this format. Against Kashtira, your Tri package is dead, you struggle with Zeus being ripped from the Extra, and you need at least two zones to get your plays going. It's not unplayable with the blind second build I've been enjoying but it does rely on opening a breaker like Eclipse.
The main deck is simple Orchard Matte Dual Sleeves from Dragonshield, and unfortunately I don't know where the Extra Deck ones are from as they were a gift!

Currently I’m running a lil small labrynth package of 2x big welcome 1x lovely and 2x lady but it puts my card count up to 42; is it okay to run the deck at 42 to fit all of the stuff I need?
Is traptrix holeutea a “normal” trap . It states on the card that it it not treated as a trap . Sera effect says set a hole card normal trap.. I’m a little confused I’m new 😫
Any opinion on Formud Skiper? Not a big fan of Traptrix (On the side of Labrynth if I want a trap deck) but as a plant lover I'm always looking to learn a thing or two from them... Cool video
lol 2:38 already telling the player base a false play. You can not activate Trap Sera off of trap holeutea because its not considered a trap. Which makes you not have a free body.

Basically its effects work like this: -If you gain LP, add a Plant from deck to hand. -If your LP are higher than opponent's, your Plants can't be destroyed by battle. -Tribute 1 Plant this card points to, special summon 1 Plant from deck in DEF.
i dont rly see this as combos though? like ur just playing the deck and doing what the deck does. its nothing revolutionairy, but from the title it just sounds like ur going to do amazing stuff. kinda dissapointing

You should add Genlisea, using her off the Sera summon gets you a 2 traps which can come in handy

Horrible take, a lot of decks genuinely cannot play after either a storming mirror force or a drowning.
withe the pudica banish with ping on board you can attach the banished monster to ping using its effect giving them nothing to summon back

I like to play 3 trap holes and a raflesia in a lot of my decks and I always end up drawing my trap holes before I get her out

That's actually where traptrix pinguicula comes into play, you can just take that banished monster and attach it to her as a material
If you use pudica with pinguicula, she will eat the banished monster, so no summoning it back.
In response to the beginning about why Traptrix is booming; I think it’s because we duelist want TRAPS! And want them to be relevant!
man, the fact this deck can make 5300 accesscode talker and still have an extra normal summon from the field spell and go full combo is nuts

I wanna be honest I got a traptrix deck right before they announced the new support (witch cost me about $150) and now I'm sad

Depends on if you use her effect then, but yup! That's the main synergy.

Correct! Depends on when you choose to use Ping.
BTW Rafflesia doesn't protect from Nib, it tributes not destroys.
Rafflesia sends Gravedigger's to negate Nib.

If you mean on your turn, you discard a Normal Trap. If you mean their turn, Traps can be used during either player's turn.

There's no real need to since it doesn't progress your plays.
How does the first parallel exceed become level 4 the card only says if it it special summoned by parallel exceed
It was Special Summoned from the hand via its own effect as well -w-

Currently I’m running a lil small labrynth package of 2x big welcome 1x lovely and 2x lady but it puts my card count up to 42; is it okay to run the deck at 42 to fit all of the stuff I need?
Tbh I'm not a fan of the Labrynth stuff. Ends up bricking and Fiend Lock is counterproductive to Sera. But overall 42 cards isn't bad.
Lady on her own is a pretty neat card tho!

Is traptrix holeutea a “normal” trap . It states on the card that it it not treated as a trap . Sera effect says set a hole card normal trap.. I’m a little confused I’m new 😫
Only when it's on the fiel as a monster is not treated as trap, when it's on the deck, graveyard or set on the field is a trap

lol 2:38 already telling the player base a false play. You can not activate Trap Sera off of trap holeutea because its not considered a trap. Which makes you not have a free body.

-If you gain LP, add a Plant from deck to hand.
-If your LP are higher than opponent's, your Plants can't be destroyed by battle.
-Tribute 1 Plant this card points to, special summon 1 Plant from deck in DEF.
i dont rly see this as combos though? like ur just playing the deck and doing what the deck does. its nothing revolutionairy, but from the title it just sounds like ur going to do amazing stuff. kinda dissapointing
