Enjoyed the video but in my experience all you pretty much gotta do to pass a CBT is turn up with a helmet and not fall off your bike.
MotoMaffoo well everything that is in the video is what i did on my cbt
I am simplifying it. I don't believe it is possible to fail a CBT. My opinion is if you can't pass your CBT on first time of asking, you do not deserve to be on 2 wheels.
true
People have failed the CBT though, so it is technically possible. It's all about the instructor. Some would let you run reds and you'll still pass but others might fail you for not indicating on a turn.
that happened to me cause i didnt indicate once and not pressing the the brake with 4 fingers mine was proper strict
Good video one thing your missing in the UK........... The Rain lol
RJH Motorbike Training yeah I know lol 😅
Its not stopped here for ages........Im gonna move abroad

So How'd it go
Did u pass or not
Thanks for making this. I am doing my CBT tomorrow! Been driving for 12 years, never had a moped. Just got an electric NIU UQI GT Pro. Bit nervous that I will be useless on the day! This helped me.
Honestly guys you have nothing to worry about, just turned up today never ridden a bike before and it was amazing, can’t wait to get back on the bike again :) you guys will love it! ps: i used trainers and they didn’t say anything.
Very useful video for those interested in the CBT and what it involves.
Good job man!
Scottish Scooterist Thanks mate, thats what I was going for, glad you liked it. :)
Just passed my cbt today, this video helped a lot

Will Nicol yeah I’m good thanks, putting a 110cc kit on it next :)
Great video. I’m going to go for my test soon and never rode a moped before, so I am looking forward to it now! Thanks for all the tips 👏🏾👏🏾
Thanks for giving up your time on teaching us. Much appreciated
Thanks so much for the preparation man, my dad is a biker and for my Christmas he has bought me my moped & CBT. This gave me an insight and some preparation of what to expect when I go sit it. Once again thanks so much, you just earned a new subscriber!
When I passed my motorcycle test back in 1974, it was quite as involved. Good thing I kept up my endorsement.
Just passed my cbt today thanks for the video really helped!
- Hazza - do you have to sit in a room and watch videos about the road or
this gives everyone a good idea of what they want.well done lad
Great tips, great vlog, simple & informative, 👍🏻.

If I take CBT at 16 with a 50cc moped can I ride a 125cc manual at 17?
Drummer BOY yes you can
Thank you very much for this. Doing my CBT in a couple months. If you fail by putting your foot down will they let you do it again?
I'm scottish awaw mate! Great to see a scot!!!
These type of videos are very useful for the beginner riders. I did the same thing right after I began to ride back in November. I bet this becomes one of your most popular videos you will ever make. Mine is like 10k views already, easily my most popular! Nicely done.
thanks Bro that's what I was going for, always happy to help people who are just starting to ride
Nice man, luckily I have my full license and don't have to do that shit anymore ;) But when I was still in training I watched so many videos how the test and exams are going ;)
cbt as no fail iv done 4 cbt s its a caures to show you know how to ride a motorbike safe on the road
I got my last cbt coming up in November haha. Can't wait to get it out of the way.
TheSpikeyBiker Well good luck not that i think you need it lol :D
Haha no I will be bored as hell. I wish they could just give the certificate and take my money.
TheSpikeyBiker yeah i know its fucking stupid mabye slip them a little something so you dont need to do it ;)
Haha yeah. it would be doing them a favour anyway as it saves them fuel :P
TheSpikeyBiker true lol
Applying for my provisional on February 6th, and taking my cbt on April 6th my bday :)
Doing my cbt tomorrow, feeling confident after watching this.
good stuff 👌 good luck
+Sticky Throttle i watched this before my cbt. I was nervous but it was easy i passed yesterday.🎉
Jtrap congrats mate glad I could help 😃👌👍
Do you think I should buy my moped and practice on it before doing my cbt or do cbt and buy one ?
I love the video man but every time u said insta fail I had a heart attack 🤣🤣
thanks sm massive confidence booster
Impressive number of views on this video. Think we may need to get you to have a chat with our marketing department...however, from an instructors perspective, we really do have some serious concerns that folk might be using this as a guide of what to expect on a quality CBT. 10/10 for initiative though. Keep it on the black stuff.

Great vid Sticky! I've been panicking a bit about my CBT and what to expect. You've made it look very easy. I was just wondering if you can do your CBT on a 125cc scooter at the training centre or is it on a 50cc? Would be grateful if you could help as different websites say different things. Cheers.
depends on your age if your 16 then it must be a 50cc because that's all your allowed to ride at 16 but if you are 17 or older then you are allowed to use a 125cc scooter or you could use the bikes that they provide it's your choice.
i’m waiting another year too do mine so i can go straight into the a1 license, but i’m just getting myself prepared 🤣
A video that actually helps. Ty
What type of motorcycle is used in the CBT? A moped?
Then they take you out on the road for couple of hours ride, take you to round abouts too. Then when you get back they will tell you if you've passed,
Helped me pass thankyou 😁❤
Recently doing my training at Starbucks to get my passion for coffee back and its very far from home like 2 hours of walking long so I'm wondering to myself how to get there without using uber or a taxi all the time.
Got my CBT a week from Monday , this really helped , cheers mate !
Do you have to bring your own scooter to the CBT or do they have their own that you use?
what u mean if u put ur foot down in the figure of 8 u fail is that completly or you just restart the figure of 8
For instance stop u have to slam front and back break together ?
Thanks for sharing your videos
Hello mate, cna you tell me what i need to do to get a driver licence for this type of mopeds in Uk?i never was interested to buy one,but now i think is a good choice to go to my work
I’m 14 years old almost 15 I live in New York. What do I need to do to be able to legally ride on the streets with a 49cc or 50cc moped. Please help me!!!!!
okay thanks for the advise .. great video
no problem mate, glad I could help and thanks glad you liked it 👌👍
Thanks helps. Best vid I foinf
If you have never rid a bike before and know anything about riding will they teach u or just tell you to ride
If you pass on a ped can you ride a 125 geared bike after, or do you have to ride a 125 bike on your test to ride a bike legally
good advice pal
thanks for the vid helps me know what to practice for ☺ btw what is your bike like make and model?
I'm glad my videos help you and if your talking about my old scooter in this video it was a (Direct Bikes DB50QT-32)
Cheers
thank you so much i want to do CBT as wel
so for my moped lisence all i have to do is get a roadworthy moped insured tax mot'd display my l plates make sure everything works before i go to do my cbt, (bring my lisence ive already sent away for) and a helmet do my cbt then im able to ride on the road? can someone correct me if im wrong
Doxsah nope your perfectly correct
If I pass my CBT on a moped can I ride a 125 geared bike?
Thanks for the tips man, I have my cbt this saturday I love your bike
glad I could help mate, I'm glad you like it ☺👌👍
I have mine on Sunday
I passed
Xen ius good stuff 👌 👍 glad I could help ☺
Awesome thanks man :)
Is this harder to do on a geared bike?
Great video mate. Im planning on getting a moped in a few weeks, but I'm quite a heavier guy. Would I be legally able to ride a 125cc on just a cbt, or would I need to get a full license? Also, would a 50cc carry my weight? I'm around 120-130kg
50cc won't to the job, go for a 125
kroko53 cheers mate, hopefully be getting a Suzuki Address 110 next week
Do you need to do any theory for this?
I’m actually quite scared of the round abouts does anyone know if it’s easy or not?
Question do they let u borrow a scoter when u do the test
I need a moped to get to work and back. All I need to be roadworthy is just to pass the CBT and get my provisional license? (obviously not including the moped itself and the insurance)
asdad asdadad yep thats all
if you know how to ride a bike then shouldnt be hard to ride a scooter, nice vid
but what if you dont know how to ride a bicycle , could you still ride a scooter ?
50cc's are okay, it's just that they have to be restricted to under 30mph for 16 year olds, which is unsafe to be honest.
Yea it's very stupid. Can't even go on motorways with 30mph
k you can't go on motorways on a cbt anyways lol so why that matters idfk
They should include it in the CBT. That's my point.
Does the cbt require any training or can u mostly book it and pass with the day?
The CBT is the training itself
I have mine tomorrow is this all I need to do
when you were doing a figure of 8 and said about putting your feet on the floor, do you fail the whole cba or just have to do the figure of 8 again
Someone please answer, I want to know this too for when I start my lessons
@@LHoriginal you just do the exercise again. As with all aspects of the CBT, the instructor will explain what you did wrong and let you repeat the manoeuvre
@@michelangelosghost2707 alright, thanks for answering
Im wondering should i go for a 50cc Just to get started and learn the road or go straight for a 125 cc btw im 18
125cc, as you're 18 you can drive one on a CBT. Don't forget L plates.
Thank you for your quick response. Yes I'm over 17. Cheers mate. 😁
no problem, glad I could help ☺👌👍
Is this all that you need to do or is there more. Is there no road traffic driving required, just all in a car park?
they take you on public roads for 2hrs possibly more depending on your intructors decisions.
So, if i pass a CBT test and I get the certificate which confirm that, I can drive my scooter after that? I mean in the same day?
Yes - you can indeed gain a CBT 'pass' in one day and be legally riding (with L plates) once the CBT has been completed. Our best advice would be to seek out the best possible training you can. To help, we offer free audio resources @ videobiker.co.uk - Keep it on the black stuff!
im going be 16 in November apart from a provisional license and basic knowledge of the roads what else do i need?
A licensed bike and helmet :)
How many questions are on the moped test
what kind of bike is that?
Thank you ❤️
Do u have to know the rules of the road ??
how long does the test take
Good job
I've just turned 16 and am looking to get a moped. Can someone explain how difficult riding one is? How difficult the CBT is?
Hi Harry. Did you complete your CBT?
Cheers mate
Do you have to lean on the moped?
What moped is that ?
So on the emergency stop do you press both of the brakes ?
Yes otherwise you'll go straight over the handle bars😂
got mine in a hour and im still scared to do it wish me luck lads!
do you have to press both brakes or just the back on
rich housley both
I have a question do u need a professional license before u do ur cbt or do they give u one when u pass ur cbt
U need provisional license before you book the CBT
what moped do u have
how do I sign up for a cbt test? Im 16. How long does the process take of getting the licence?
DatGuy54 Plays you want to go on gov.net mate 👌🏽
got mine in tomorrow, i’ll be back to let everyone know how hard i find it. 0 experience with bikes btw :)
Howd it go mate
Aydan Dines best experience ever, wasn’t nervous at all, takes a little bit of confidence at the start getting used to the balance but once your off it’s amazing, can’t wait to get back riding again, so good!
Do you have to do a full theory test for the moped?
Heel Race Driver Team SBH Racing If it's less than a 125cc no, you just need to do your cbt.
Did you sit your cbt on a geared bike or a push and go ? Going for mine soon and not sure what to do it in as already purchased an xmax 125 what do you recommend I'm doing it in Glasgow as well cheers .
I sat my CBT on a 50cc twist and go scooter. If you have previous experience with geared bikes then do it with a geared bike but of not then a twist and go makes it alot easier to do.
I haven't had any training on a bike so wasn't sure what would be best incase I ended up getting a bike Aswell as the scooter . Do they ask you what you want to do it on or what I'm doing the one at bike rite it's the rutherglen one .
I would recommend using a scooter if you have no experience on a bike. and I don't know what they will say in that test center as I did mine in the one in paisley.
Was it bike rite tho and did they ask your preference? just trying to get a heads up before I go cheers .
nah it was bike it I did mine with and I just brought my bike on a trailer to the place and didn't ask them anything.
And to anyone new, ALWAYS check your mirrors and over your shoulders before you set off or you'll fail
Is the CBT the same everwhere? I'm assuming you're north of UK but I live in Dorset, would it be the same?
Gnome Chompski yeah I'm near Glasgow and yes it's the same everywhere in the UK mate.
okay, cheers :) gonna take it for my 17th in a few months
Ah ok nice
one thing can i add you can t fail a CBT But great video good tips
Do u need to own a bike to do the cbt and also can u do a cbt but not buy a scooter and wait till your 17 so u can just buy a 125cc
the place where you do your cbt will have a bike for you to use.
