Messed up my CBT through poor clutch control on Saturday...found this video watched about 20 times, great straight forward information delivered with humor and the positive affirmation of " you passed !" Also helped at lot , anyway went back yesterday and sailed through in part thanks to this video....cheers Spicy 👌
Awesome!! Congrats! 🙂
@@spicy110 Cheers...👍🏼
CBT is training. Nobody can fail that. You get the certificate to confirm you attended. Not what skills you have. If you were were not issued your certificate for attending a full days training, you were scammed. Only reason they can refuse to issue certificate would be if you were a danger or were not legally allowed to ride. no license or banned, if using own bike not legal because of tax, mot or insurance.
PLEASE reveal the training school you attended /scammed by. TRAINING IS NOT A TEST.
@@spicy110 really? CBT is not a test. it's training. If somebody should declare "i failed my CBT" you should check if they were scammed. it seems quite prevalent that new riders believe they can fail. theres o test. theres questions, but if they answer wrong, they should be trained in the answer. they can't fail. there should be no re-dos or extra fees. Help keep scams away. Bi-annual CBT "RENEWAL" itself is already a scam.
@@Palmit_ CBT is not an attendance course. After instruction/coaching/mentoring by the trainer, the trainee has to demonstrate a level of competence. They cannot move on until they do. If they need to come back to complete then additional charges may apply, there isn't a fixed fee.
Instructions unclear, car won't start
You're so genuine. Keep up the hard work bro.
Why aren't you a motorcycle instructor?
That's one of the clearest explanation of how you do that I've seen.
When i learnt we went to do U-turns first, all failed miserably, then he took us back and got us to do figure 8 riding till we were doing really tight ones, then we all went and aced the U-turns.
Great vid, keep up the good work!
:)
+viscarrio I need my licence 3yrs min and only had it 2
spicy110 a better instructor then the one I had today!... Rushed through was an understatement and having to redo my CBT.
spicy110 you would be a great instructor, not overly serious as most of them are
spicy110 time now then 😃
@@midenking9651 sorry you had that.
I am curious. What reason did you need to redo cbt?
I passed my bike test over a year ago but this video would of been really helpful at the time but I am pleased this video is available to help newbie bikers pass,. good job
Literally needed this! I've been on a scooter for 7 years now and last week I finally had a go on a 125 Kawasaki Eliminator that I'm buying and I stalled a LOT! I knew switching from twist and go to gears would be a challenge, but your videos have helped so much, and that's not just the educational ones like these! You're an inspiration spicy! I'm buying the bike tomorrow! Thanks again!
WTF!!!! I've been nervous about my mod 1 and the slow control stuff, now this has actually filled me with confidence!! So well explained, thank you and subscribed!!!
Super helpful video - I just finished my first class in Singapore and your instructions helped me understand better the WHY (not just the ‘what’) of things we learnt. 🙏🏻
Been watching your vids for a while , just picked up my CBT today. Thanks for all you properly informative content.
Another amazingly helpful video. Thanks for taking the time for that
Great and very educational video. What I would like to add is that keeping higher revs on a half of clutch will make you more stable due to gyroscopic effect that the engine gives you. At normal speeds this comes mainly from the wheels, but in slow moving traffic it got to come from the engine.
I’m in my course here in Montreal, this is helping me a great deal, thank you very much!
Thanks man. Your techniques helps me alot in the final exam. Even today at 2020!
Incredibly helpful Spicy! Thank you. I have my theory test booked for a couple weeks time, really excited. thanks again brother! congrats on the subs also. I love the effort you put into your videos!
This is a great inspirational/motivational video for new and old riders. Me and my friends will be having a slow race on a quiet car park as we've not done that.
Practice for mod 1 can be fun and I think you covered everything and explained it well.
Even now I still play on quiet carparks to kill boredom going in/out of imaginary comes and u turns etc.
Once again thank you
Great video, really makes sense, I've failed twice on the 'U' turn gonna try again now, thanks
By far one of the best videos for control tips
Really helpful video mate and congrats on 60K subs!
Thanks Jacob
Thanks dude. Really helpful. Did my CBT yesterday and got this just fine on the pad but struggled a bit on the road ride when there was more to think about.
thanks a lot sir... finally got one best way to practice my slow bike control as i am the worst at it as most of the time i end up switching off the engine.... that's very helpful
As someone who wants to get into riding thanks for the tips. Subbed 👍
Always enjoyed watching roadcraft nottingham for this very reason. Its interesting to watch how people ride and the little games they play at lights, car parks etc
Good series start :)
Possibly one of the most helpful vids I have seen. Thanks Spicy.
Happy to hear it 😁
been sub for years now in and out but want to say a massive thank you this helped me so much i passed my mod 1 with your help keep at it mush much love from the north
No problem 👍
Very helpful! Looking forward to try that out on my next lesson 🙌
Great video mate! I used to be an instructor back in the part 1 & 2 test days and this is exactly the way we used to teach. I still do it myself occasionally for practice. I'll be trying the full lock slow challenge soon... should be fun on a Versys 1000!
Excellent timing! It's almost like you knew I just failed my MSF course because I was having issues with this very thing lol! Thanks Spicy!
This has got me excited, got my cbt on the 17th, had me laughing at the end
great video Mr Spicy!
Great video and so well explained.
Had my first bike lesson last Sunday. Dropped the bike within the first 5 minutes. It was great! XD
Watching this gives me that warm fuzzy feeling inside that I had before I took my CBT having never ridden before. The excitement of what’s possible ... unfortunately I’d fallen out of riding and my CBT expired on Saturday but I’m getting paid tonight and I’m gonna book my theory at lunch tonight then my second CBT tomorrow morning and hopefully I’ll get myself my A2 in no time absolutely buzzing
I'm in love with your video's, very easy to follow and understand for noobs (like myself), can't wait to do my CBT and ride off on my new bike if all goes well xD
Excellent instruction, and also entertaining..The Helmet and bike are cool...
Useful info. Did my CBT on a 125 2 weeks ago and I have my Mod 1 in 2 weeks with just 2 days riding on a 650 in between
Just what I needed since I Started earlier this year, I always I stall then I tried doing the same thing what you did before watching this. This upcoming weekend I'm gonna ask the instructors to use their Dual Sport. Thanks Spicy. Support from 'Murica! 👊🏽
You’re a legend mate!
How the hell did I miss this video a few days ago!? Just failed my A licence today cause of the figure 8. I can do the counterclockwise turn no problem, but clockwise is bugging me a lot. Watched a ton of videos and this one certainly has most usable and clear information and suggestions. Well, 3-4 weeks I can try again, too bad I cannot practice too much before then.
Really helpful video mate , I shall be practicing as I’ve got mod1 and mod2 in January :)
Good tutorial. Explanation is excellent.
Really useful again, brill and thanks!
Amazing, thank you!
Thanks for the video
Whilst a few years old now the information is really Informative
Just started my journey last week
This video is from my playlist tips for new riders, it's all still relevant.
I did my cbt yesterday! I wasn't too good at the slow control part of my CBT although I was given my certificate this has definitely helped me with controlling my bike at slower speed. Mainly so I don't take junctions too wide!
Thank you so much for making this video it really helps. :D
I really wish I had watched this video before I took my motorcycle endorsement test. I passed but barely and the tips and tricks shown here would have been immensely helpful.
This video is so much more helpful in boosting my confidence, also 60K subs w00t!
Incredibly useful.
I have viewed many YT vid's on Mod 1 U-Turns & slow speed control . This video is superb.
Some instructors possibly less keen than others to train such techniques for Mod etc.
The techniques shown here, (plus counter balancing), arguably preferable when used safely & well.
Thank you.
(DAS soon here).
I was practising in my garden before my CBT I learnt slow control pretty quick
Ugh I'll have to do all of this again for the A category. In the school I was with the 125s were from like the 80s no electric start, the clutch felt like on or off switch and you had to rev the shit out of it to do anything so slow control was hell. On the big bikes slow control was a piece of cake.
What a wonderful video, nice explanations. nice demonstrations. Awesome resource for new riders like me.
Glad it was helpful! Check out the rest of my tips for new riders playlist.
Thanks to your video you inspired me to go from never sitting on a bike to passing my mod 2 within a year thank you.
Awesome! So glad it helped!
Big help man thanks. Cbt coming up haven't ridden in a bit.
thanks spicy thats really good .I wish id found this earlier booked in monday!!!
Terrific instructions 👍
That helped me alot! Gna practice lots now :) p.s when you said you just passed really fast that cracked me up haha
Thanks for a properly helpful video mate 😊
Great video! Thank you
Nice one spicy really helpful gonna give those a go
Very useful, thanks!
4 years old and this video is still fantastic. I bought my first geared bike 2 days ago, finishing my CBT on an automatic 50cc 2 days prior to that. It's a steep learning curve but with your help I'm getting there. Keep doing what you're doing, you absolute scholar
Glad it helped!
Oof, just fucking dropped it trying to do a turn in the road. Hopefully won't take too long getting the hang of...
@@bigtom6443 it happens, even to people who have been riding years, I even have a competition video of all the ones I got on camera. It's called everytime I dropped a bike in 7yrs or something like that 😁
Super Helpful!, Thank you
Thank you, mate.
Thank you! Really usefull stuff.
This is where i've been going to practice my slow control
This is an awesome video thank you..
thanks for your guidance. Passed my mod 1 yesterday .
+scorp4165 sweet! Congratulations dude
doing my a2 mod 1 on the 20th glad you done this vid
Nicky Jenkins im doing my mod 1 on the 20th! Good luck
brilliant video mate!
Finally!! After watching a million crappy how-to videos, I find a guy who speaks sense! Thank you!!!!
🙂 thanks, I have a whole playlist of videos on my channel called tips for new riders it's helped 100s at this point so might be worth checking out. Best of luck
Great video and info.
Brilliant!
Loved the video.
Seriously man you did a great help !
No worries glad it was helpful 🙂
I think you explain how to do things the clearest out of all the videos i've seen on youtube. I'm doing my DAS soon and your vids are going to help me immensely. Cheers!
Thanks, best of luck and don't forget to check out the full playlist on my channel. 🙂👍
@@spicy110 I’ve spent my entire morning watching through your entire playlist mate! You’ve covered everything
👍👍
With a 600cc enduro from the 80's....
Damn, that is a challenge :O
GREAT VIDEO. Slow control is a HUGE part of riding. To me is easy to go on the high way and do 140-160MPH but it was the slow driving that really test my skills. PRO TIP: *** when doing this exercises make sure to ride normal or rest the clutch for a bit since slow riding put lots of pressure/wear into it.***
The game element is worth a go, I keep going out into roads on the way back from work to try u turns but never get it and they've just got worse. It clicked watching this, I'm basically teaching myself u turns are difficult when I should spend a few hours on my day off after a nights rest and play make the circle, figure 8 smaller
Great vis Spicy
Brilliant ! Thank you - easy.....relaxed......subscribed :-)
Awesome tips and was really useful man....👍👍👍
+Rakesh Rookie no worries glad it was helpful 👊
great video mate, the clutch segment was probably one of the best i've seen... i also enjoyed your game training too.
a few times every season i go to my fav parking lot and dick around with slow speed maneuvers for an hour or so, it relaxes me :}
one thing i would add to slow speed turning is that the body position on the bike can help a lot. counterbalancing the bike's lean with the body's weight can make the turning radius even smaller..
be safe, have fun!
...slow racing, love it!
+Ant Laud it's more fun! Risk of crashing is high risk of injury is low haha
Just got a Drift Ghost S I was persuaded having watching you through the years. Ride safe spicy
nice defo the right one to go for IMO
Grate is video I passed my mod, 1 today, 4,minors but Great Britain video it help me loads the only thing is I have to learn not to cover my front brake all the time but in all great video.
+Rodney Fisher congratulations 🎊 a pass is a pass
I don't think I've ever seen Spicy do a wheelie.
If he does wheelies he probably does them off public roads. Spicy has always been sensible, which isn't a bad thing in the slightest - I for one respect him more.
@@Interknetz SIMP
@@tango9917 Thanks. Needed that crucial information, no wonder I couldn't sleep at night.
@@Interknetz cry a river
@@tango9917 You must've been abandoned as a baby 🤣🤣
Sweet DRZ brother!
Nice video! Where I’m from you fail the test if you constant hold rear brake while going slow. Puts stress on the bike. Only use when needed they say. Forces you to be more precise with gas/clutch.
Brilliant!!
Spicy, as someone who loves watching motovlogs but still has yet to make the plunge (rs4 125 on the way!), this video was really useful! Thank you.
Harry Atkinson bud, seriously, get good at slow control on the RS4 and it'll be a doddle on any bike they put you on for the test - nothing has a wider turning circle or more unfriendly ergonomics for slow speed control than our little race rep 125s. I've been getting as good as I can on my R125 ready to redo my Mod1&2 for my A2 licence upgrade.
very useful thank you I like this good job :)
Great tips, thanks a lot! I'm currently doing my motorcycle license and failed my first exam because of exactly what you described. Panicked during the figure 8 and put my foot down. Ironically, when I was practicing this the day before, I did it at least 20 times without error. I guess my nerves made me stupid.
Yeah, my nerves got me too when i went for my CBT, but thankfully my main issue was balance, and i think i got it back, let's hope it is sunny this round for my CBT XD
Thanks again
Excellent video Spicy, very simple and concise... I hope this is a HUGE hit for you!
P.S. i received my new T-Shirt the other day, great quality, fits a treat, and I wore it to my local pub and got asked loads about it :-)
+Martin Carey thanks dude 😀 glad you like it
Good tips, mod 1 coming soon.. 👍🏴
yo what up spicy ... really helpfull vid thank you
Thank you sir.
Using the rear brake and the clutch makes it much more smooth and controlled when slow riding and turn in the road. When ever I tried it with just the clutch it wasnt as easy, when ever my instructor told me to use the rear brake on the turn in the road it was so much easier :) Also we was told sometimes they get you to do a turn in the road on the right hand side of the road just to test you. And the mod 1 was HUGE it was in a massive dedicated tennis court kinda thing. We practiced a lot tighter and when it come to the mod 1 I felt like I had SO much room. On my mod 1 I actually went too fast on the section where you got to get up to 30MPH because I was worried I wouldnt go fast enough, but because I showed I could stop well within the zone, I got off with it because it wasnt stupid fast, just a little faster than they wanted haha. Also a thing to help calm down was my friends who I was training with, chatting over the stuff with the instructor, and the fact that instructors are all bikers, they want you to pass they arent out there to get you. That and you have tonnes of room, And mod 2 is just a nice little ride out :)
great help thanks
