- Hey y’all welcome back to my channel ☺️ below is a list of the 4 ingredients you’ll need to safely remove semi permanent hair color with products you have around the house.
Dish washing liquid
Purple shampoo
10 volume peroxide developer
And baking soda
Mix equal parts

edit: okay UPDATES PEOPLE UPDATES this worked like a charm i was worried that my purple shampoo ruined it cause it was so purple before i washed it out but the second i started rinsing i saw the blonde it’s insane. i’m gonna do another round tomorrow morning to get the hints of blue out but this was a live saver. also my hair felt really soft considering there was developer and baking soda in thete

Well I had no faith in this working. Thankfully I was proven wrong. My hair was a dark navy blue almost black and the front was a dark emerald green…..😂 it worked in one go i kept it in for like 45mins. I measured out 2tbs of each, I have thick curly shoulder length hair it was just enough to cover about 85% of my hair. I had to really scrub it in for it to cover all of it. It’s now a dusk blue/silver color. However I used a 20 vol developer because i only had 40 & 20 volume i normally use 40 when bleaching my virgin hair I’m gonna go in again and see if I can get the left over blue tint I’m not dying my hair yet I just wanted to see if I can wash out the dark blue because I wanna do a bright reddish brown for fall. But it worked basically I’ll forever do this technique😂😂❤❤❤❤❤

Love the bleached look but not the dried and damaged feel that goes with it after a while.

@@seasonsofyuri so I just did it and it took me three tries and I think I still need to do like one more but I feel like if I would’ve use like a V 40 for my hair it would have came right out because of the type of dye I used

20 is the highest I would go. It won’t hurt to give it a try.
What if I didn’t used bleach to dye my hair just devoloper mixed with dye meaning my hair went from black straight to red if I try this will my hair go back black ?

Lawd! I have locs and used 30 volume developer. Semi permanent color came out but because I was just applying all over versus focusing on each loc…I have copper roots and locs mixed in with dark brown locs. How do I fix this? Go back in with another application using 10 developer or 30? And how many days should I wait? HELP!

I’m about to try this. I have a hunter green from kiss in my hair. I like the color but I’ll probably use it for a wig 😂 I should’ve did a funky yellow by kiss. Don’t really like kiss semi permanent hair colors. Adore is my go-to.

my hair was dyed with adore neon pink and i want to remove the color soon, it's faded into a peach. i have 40 vol developer in my bathroom pantry, will i be able to use that instead of 10 vol? and if so will i have a shorter wait time since the developer is stronger?
I would stick with 10, that seems to be the only one that works. 40 is waaay too high.

I did this three times. It worked but my hair is fried now. First and second time were okay.

You can do it right away. You might have to repeat the steps twice if it’s a very pigmented blue and purple.

HOLY CRAP!!!! IT ACTUALLY WORKS!!!! Not just ~kinda~ works. Not works ~pretty~ good. IT WORKS BETTER THAN BLEACH!
I didn't expect it to get everything out, bc my color was far darker than Seasons of Yuri's color. I was just hoping it could at least lighten it and stop it from bleeding color constantly. Yeah. I'm currently one of the prettiest shades of platinum blonde I've ever been in my life. While I do have some slight pinkish tint left on my ends, and ~maybe~ a hint of a greenish hue in a couple spots, I will say I only did ONE round of this AND I had layers of old semi-permanent color on my hair. If I bother to do a second treatment, I know without a doubt it will completely get it stripped out. My hair feels a bit drier than usual, but NOT fried or melted or significantly damaged AT ALL.
I only tried this bc I had supplies on hand. I was preparing myself to go buy lightener, do a bleach bath and then cut the mushy, melted ends bc my hair is already over-processed. Instead, my color is gorgeous and my hair integrity and length is intact! Thank you so much for your video @seasonsofyuri9691 ❤️

Will this work on a black rinse on bleached hair?
Yes but first use the purple shampoo by itself first wash it out and then use this mixture. The purple shampoo will help remove some of the black or just use this mixture twice if needed.

Yes it has to be purple shampoo and you can get it from your local beauty supply store or Sally’s.

It shouldn’t! It just removes the semi permanent color.

I don’t think it will because baking soda is basically the activator.

You can give it a try, I left mine on for a long time once before but it was still some color left so I had to do it again and it also depends on how pigmented the color is that you’re trying to remove.

Clairol? The developer? You can use any brand developer but for the red you’re going to have to do it twice

Any dish washing liquid works but for me the color comes out faster with dawn.
