This channel really doesn’t get all the attention that it really deserves. Some of the helmets take hundreds of hours to build
I_like_ Star_Wars_ I agree
Thank you very much!

Hello there....
Imagine walking around a grocery store and some guy has a Mandalorian helmet on instead of a regular face shield.
I LOWKEY WANT TO SEE THAT
This is the way
I would just say " This is the way "
You could only realistically get away with this at Walmart..but I'd love to see it.
@@krymmenoss5074 same lol
Why don't you build your respirator inside a Star Wars helmet? It would fit really well in a clone trooper helmet
I’ve thought the same thing haha
What if the dust and paint got on the respirator helmet? If he did that, he would need to make sure he was ok with the design getting messed up as he goes on. It would look cool though.
Joshua Mihail your not wrong haha
General kenobi?
Because it is a littlebit uncomfortable
Ok, everything is ready! Now i just need a 3D printer..
The Ender3 is reasonably cheap and pretty reliable.
@@ds222 depends where you live
A lot of libraries have them now and all you have to pay for is filament that you use.
@@claram3132 just like i said before. Depends where you live.. there isnt such a thing in my country. I wish there was!

I've been watching ~30 videos on this but the result on this helmet is by faaaaar the best! Mad respect and thank you!!
“I need to get me one of those.”
“Don’t let the bondo touch your skin” The spot of bondo on your knee 👁👄👁
👀👅👀
and remember mix fluids on your knee, its a very stable spot.
Wait you have you guys touched bondo? It's cool once it dries, I have had it on my skin before and I thought that it was weird and I needed to get it off before it dried.
This should be on trending
Congrats, it was on my trending haha
Fantastic Work! As a movie model/propbuilder just want to point out that the red stuff is spotting-glazing putty. Bondo is usually the gray/pink heavy paste that uses a catalyst. some people in the shop actually got so quick at applying Bondo filler with a plastic wedge that they didnt even need spot putty.
The best helmet recreation I have seen in a long time. That paint job was awesome!
So excited! The Mando helmet is on my printer right now, looking forward to giving your finishing techniques a try.
TheRealJoRo how is this comment 3 days old?!?!
Wait what how is that possible!

Galactic Armory: "Making helmets are a part of my religion."
Just finished printing off a Mando Helmet for my sisters birthday coming up, was inspired by this channel to get a 3d printer and this was the first major project I did with it. Turning out great so far
That's really amazing work. I'm working on developing some of my own custom products and am surprised at how much time I take to get all the details just right. I thought I was being too detailed oriented, but it's good to see you you have too, and to great success. Thank you.
Yes, do the armor just like you did the trooper armor!!!
Love how the tape used coincidentally makes the helmet look like Jango's. Neat.
That turned out amazing - the metal finish to it looks 100% real. Great Video and Helmet!
Just ordered the helmet and armor off your etsy store. I cant wait to get started on this build... beyond excited...
Hey, i just wanted to let you know that i just finished my own 3D printed Mandalorian helmet based on your directions and honestly it turned out great. It was more work than i anticipated but i powered through and now have a piece of Star Wars i can wear. Thanks for the video it really helped and your speech mid way was inspiring. cheers.
How many hours total would you guess ?
I would like to purchase your helmet. I have plates of 99.99 pure beskar for trade,
I hope you sanded before the bondo. Lathering on the bondo without bothering to sand anything was a bush league move at best.
Just printed mine out, took 70 hours to print but it’s an absolutely beautiful print! Thanks for the file!
😱
Guess I won't be able to use borrow my school's 3D printer if it's that long.
@@hearthatbird Mine is printing in just over 48 hours. And, I am making it beefy.
What kind of 3D printer do you have, I need to get one but I need to find a affordable one that can fit this design
@@blade_wizard7684 I have a CR-10
As you already said this is the way best look. May the force be with you.
Great tutorial, almost done with mine on visor, a few imperfections from over bondo on the first layer and laziness but next piece will be perfect!
"this helmet was my most frustrating build ever" *prints it*
"Dont have a printer? Buy a helmet from me" also I wonder how cosplay competitions handle 3d printed items. Do you have to prove you made the file?
@@theridley6451 I doubt it, especially because much of the work isn't in the printing, but in the post-processing anyway
@@StalePhish I've been disqualified for using patterns before I'd say the hardest part is the 3d sculpting sure you have to sand the print and paint it when it's done but that is the same for anything except maybe vacuum form
Fantastic work! So glad CZcams recommended this so I can binge all your videos. Love all the Mando references throughout the video too 😂
massive respect for this guy
3D printed the base form factor. That's nuts. It is the way. Nice job!
OMG the wait was worth it! It has just become amazing! Keep it up!
Stuart Semple has recently brought out a liquid mirror paint. I wonder how that would look on a helmet.
You are blessed with a wonderful gift.
Ur helmet file... is amazing. Gorgeous. Beatiful. Top of the line. I printed it using simplified 3d. I tryied something new. I rotated the model 45 degrees. Added supports. Rotated 45 in the opposite and did supports on the other side, so no supports from the plate. I avoided the middle visor support by doing 45s off the lips. Took 66 hours. But man it is the best I've seen so far. Finished the bondo part. Onto sanding now. Im going to try to paint it the same too. Great video!
I realize I'm a little late, but those are ACH pads. The ACH is the helmet the Army issues us. They have a velcro side because the ACH has velcro spots in the helmet so we can put them where they're supposed to go. Each pad goes in a specific place.
Honestly this channel is so good and it really deserves more subs. I love the content and thanks for the tutorial!
Fantastic!!! Congratulations buddy.
Truly excellent. A lot of work and patience.
....
“Take that off.”
Those are the same pads that were in my Army ACH/MICH Helmet i wore in Iraq.
Good luck with your next projects! Your work is amazing!
Good call on the Alclad. Any clear top coat will reduce the mirror finish but Alclad definitely preserves it the best.
What do you use for the visors? Like what should i search for when looking for one?
This is the way
Nice presentation, that is the way!
Amazing job, i definitly hope you'll make the full mando armor. Keep up the awesome work man.👍👍💙💙
This is the way. I have spoken.

Genuinely thought it was metal at the beginning, was expecting to see a Hammer and Anvil, Great Job!
Yes please! Go for the armor! That helmet is exceptional! Thank you!
You should make an EA Battlefront II jet trooper jet jet pack
I literally watch this man build a helmet as he’s recommending how it’s done
While I’m just eating my food
...And?
This looks awesome! Thanks for the great coverage too. I was able to use this as inspiration for my latest vid. Legend!
spectacular job
State of the art equipment : a stick he found on the ground.
If you buff the graphite with a cotton ball or makeup pad you can touch it all you want. I did that with mine and I didn’t even need a clear coat
At the point in the video where you were like “3D printer” I was like oh this is one of those videos you just watch and appreciate, not actually attempt
Congratulations!! you created a piece of art.
I am so amazed by this video!! Good job!

the mission, the nightmares... they're finally... over.
when the tape was on it looked like jango's helmet a bit
I use spazstix chrome for my rc bodies, never would have I thought it be used for mando's helmet finish! So cool!
Understatement: totally awesome sir! This IS The Way!
Scale/Sizing Question: I purchased this file and I would really appreciate it if you could provide some advice for finding the best scale/sizing to use for the model before printing. It seems like the file for the helmet is scaled differently than the rest of the armor (which have all turned out phenomenally, by the way) - After a lot of trial and error, I settled on a 95.43% scale for the armor thus far, but doing the same for the helmet makes it look like a bobblehead when I line them all up virtually within Cura. I'd like to measure twice and print once, so is there any help you can provide?
No reply lol
For future people that have this same question. I sliced the helmet file just above the visor and printed a small 5mm high section to make sure it would fit on my head and resized from there. The one gotcha with mando helmets is the cheek indents, which are smaller than the head part. So, you want to cut and test print a 5mm high section from there as well.
3:33 Sith mandalorian? Are you gonna be in season 3!?!?!
it's great. Perfect production! Well done mate.
Loved this! thanks for posting it!
Him: Don't touch it with your bare skin.

Hello, I just bought the 3d file, will you have the recommendations on how to print it and how long did it take you to print it?
Same questions here. I've bought this exact printer.
@@sakalaka24 which printer is it?
@@georgepeelI've already printed the helmet. Took me 5 days on the CR-10 V2. In hindsight I could have held back on the support and the infill.. But really happy with the result. I higly recommend this printer and the models in this video!
@@sakalaka24 Thank you kindly!
I printed the same model, but had to cut it up and join it to fit on my build plate, I noticed unnacceptable flex and it was cracking at the joins due to the flex, so your resin suggestion is great idea to strengthen it further.
wow you´re an artist.
I'd like a motorcycle helmet that was safe and looked like that!
there was a man in my city that did that.
Plot Twist: He is the actual Mandalorian
Technicallly i copied your comment but didn't notice.
My comment was

Man, that looks great! Nice work. Even nicer to show the how to. Thanks.
Who else thinks that he should do captain rex next?

He has enough variations of helmets to make rex. You just paint it yourself
No he should do an arc trooper like fives or bly

Nice job ! What a great helmet ! with the putty and primer your on the right track, just a hint after you have sprayed on the primer grab a can of black......any black.....and lightly mist the whole helmet. This is called a guide coat and lets you see where you haven't sanded. Works a treat as when all the black is gone you know you have finished !
That looks like the real thing
