La Puerta Jak also seemed to deal with the fact that Daxter lasted 2 years without him in a giant city they've never been to before quite well. Not giving a shit is part of his personality (depending on the stakes) Daxter changing back at will on the other hand is stupid, at least with Jak (or at least in Jak II anyway) he had to wait for the dark eco to wear off. And yeah I don't get why he didn't mention it to Daxter either, though you've got to wonder if Jak would've hidden dark Jak from Daxter if he was given the choice?

It came across as him not changing back willingly (considering you could hear him say "No, I'm not done playing yet").
So you're telling me not a single drop of dark eco got on Daxter while Jak practically Gargled the stuff?
so far so good...only beef i have with this game so far is the fact that jak's roll mechanic seems to be gone...that was awesome

This game would have been so much better if
A) they kept Jaks original voice actor
B) it actually stuck to the original story line
and c) they had the Dark Jak and Light Jak powers, hell just Dark Jak would be fine with me.
C would be cool!

Actually, jak and daxter was made by naughty dog, the same people who made crash bandicoot before the rights for it were bought from them.

@edward18517 I know that, but, according to the story, the Dark Makers were once Precursors, but their exposure to Dark Eco changed them. For all we know, this is what a Dark Maker starts out as, and eventually becomes the ugly monstrosities we see in Jak 3.

But still, it doesn't make sense. The first time he was exposed to Dark Eco, he transformed into an Ottsell. Now when exposed he turns into a gigantic version of one?
Panda Face he's had a whole game to himself, his own car in Jak X, and *spoiler alert* he's a precursor, one of the biggest driving points in the whole series. he doesn't need more time in the limelight

Eh, that part alone was explained. It was explained that he can absorb SMALLER amounts of dark eco without problems- but absorbing an entire pool amount is impossible.
i played this games demo on my psp like 20 times and im still not tired of it!

I am kind of confused.
Back when Daxter was a human, he got into dark eco which turned him into a precursor- or the otsel that you see. Then when he gets washed by- dark eco i think, he turns into a dark Daxter...
I'm not complaining or anything, i am just confused... Not to mention Daxter just keeps quiet about being a dark freak when he should have told Jak- who lost the ability to turn into Dark Jark...

I am Heavy Weapons Daxter and this is my dark eco.
Jak and Daxter travel to Misty Island in the Precursors Legacy. Daxter falls into a pool of Dark Eco and turns into an ottsel. They ask the sage if he can turn back but the eco magic is too strong. They set out on a quest to find Gol the Sage of Dark Eco as he's the only one who can turn him back. Gol is bad and he's making a robot to flood the world with dark eco. Jak defeats the robot and the 4 kinds of eco make light eco. They use this to destroy the robot instead of turn Daxter back.
Lol. Dark Daxter is funnier than regular Dax and he's funny enough already.
if you are looking for precursor orbs heres a little tip when you shoot the targets at 2:22 where there is a target on the left go that way and you will find some precursor orbs. (there will be no more than 2 or 3 orbs)

The Dark Makers were once Precursors, too - Precursors that got hyped on Dark Eco. I guess that's a kind of...devolved form of one @_@??? Although, if they kept him looking a little more like himself, it might have been more understandable.

No. It's kinda like playing the first Jak and Daxter game. Jak has always been able to harness and use eco, but this time it's the color eco, not dark and light eco (meaning he can't transform... :( oh well...)

No, it is that bad. They mad just about every wrong decision with this game, and ruined the series satisfying conclusion. It's an awkward, clunky, peice of crap game made for quick cash.

I just watched this one video so I could see how he turned into Dark Daxter. I really hope Naughty Dawg didnt ruin this series.

They did, Naughty dog helped with this but they only told them what to do with this game.
