How you doing with the ES2 so far? any cons or something you regret from getting this scooter?
I am not sure if it is just the 2018 sports model, but there are serious problems with this scooter. Look at Amazon review site for defects involving control board and reduced range.

Brian Jian Hi, I live in NY also and received my scooter 3 days ago. Im from Queens Elmhurst and did my first short test. It actually do its job however when going on a significantly uphill at 50% it was painfully slow. I’m planning to commute to the city; my new workplace about 7 miles totaling 14miles. Hope I make it safe :)

Nice review, I own the ES1 which isn’t as high a spec with no under or rear lights, but it performs the same. I learned a few things from your video. I agree with your suggested improvements, but overall I really like it.

I am Indonesian living in US and I got one just last week! Your review is one of the main factor of choosing my Ninebot ES2, thank you. It's so thorough and nice. One of the problem that I found is the serviceability of the ninebot ES2 compare to the more popular xiaomi mijia m365. the only thing I concern with is the availibility of the tires and other parts once its broken or wore out. the mijia M365 seems to have more options for part replacements.

Do newer models of the es2 have a different footbed? I've seen some with slightly raised grips across the whole footbed and also some that are more smooth, just wondering if the es2 had a few changes since release?
