Thank you so much! 💜💙💜 I just bought a little one on my Birthday. I thought it was so neat that it looks like bamboo. I am a succulent mama so, I am new at this.
They grow along the banks of streams in my home country. I believe they are called lucky bamboo because put them in a vase besides the figure of the goddess of mercy, Guan Yin. I am a great fan of your channel and I have just started looking at your older videos after checking out the recent ones.
How do you keep the shape and manipulate the stalks like that? Mine was slightly braided but I couldn’t figure it out so now it’s not super stable. Also, I have new leaves growing from top to bottom. Should I just trim the bottom ones off?
Beautiful plant! I’ve kept mine alive for over two years, repotted once, and only use bottled water. However, It’s not growing much and a lot of the tips are brown. It’s still looks great but nothing like the one you’re holding. Mine has been inside since I bought from home depot so mostly low light. Any recommendations to help clear brown tips of leaves up?
Over watering causes the tips to turn yellow/brown. Supervise and restrict how much water you use. Only need to water them once every two weeks during cold periods and during hot, once a week.
Great helpful video. I just repotted mine in a larger pot after 5 years in a pot with a mixture of Sand and Stone and soil without a drainage hole. It is thriving in a larger pot with river rock in the bottom and then soil but now I have Roots growing out of the drainage hole after 3 months. Any suggestions on what I should do? Appreciate if you're able to help or answer. Thank you in advance.
Direct light can only happen outside. For sun to shine in our homes it must pass through glass, which makes it “indirect.” You put it in bright light in your home and it’ll be just fine. If you research where they grow in nature you’ll find them in much brighter locations than we have indoors.
I just got the exact same plant from costco. Do you ever fill it with water and then drain it back out, or do you just add water periodically?? Thanks.
I have a lucky bamboo and I was wondering if they have shallow roots because my bamboo is leaning I have it in soil for about a year it grown tall but started to lean do I have to stake it or what
Mine are in glue rocks. Should I take them out? Also I have a design one that is tied with like those bread ties. Should I just leave it like that. One has turned yellow.
I've been looking for hours on CZcams but can't find anyone answering this Q on Lucky bamboos and was hoping you might respond? I've seen many propagation vids, where they cut the stem, but it doesn't grow taller, just grows a shoot of leaves out the sides. When they cut a shoot of leaves they say it will become another plant but never show an after video. Does that mean it'll get roots and stay skinny, or that it will grow a larger stem like the original? How do you grow one without compromising the height or width?
Initially the top part will grow straight and narrow, but will eventually branch. With age it will always naturally get taller/wider, to a certain point.
It's hard to say without more information! Send some videos and pictures to this link and I'll respond with a video! xip.co/dashboard/x/tanner-mitchell
Just switch my lucky bamboo from tap water to purified water after noticing it becoming yellow and it has been growing new roost 😁😊
Thanks for the info Tanner 👍 I'm getting one tomorrow !!! Will keep you updated on my new baby.
You are explaining good, but for the people who are trying for first time the best way is to explain practicing.
Thank you!
Love my little Bamboo Plant❤

I will probably need the same questioned answered in a few weeks. Mine will stay inside too because i live in an apartment and i dont have a yard atm.

I’d just put it in a larger pot

Should I spray (mist) lucky bamboo plant?
💚
I just got mine, i’m just using water as of now😊
I heard that they don't like bright light whether it's direct or indirect sunlight. So I can put it in a sunny spot in my house and it'll be ok?

I’d remove from the glue. I’d need more info to speak on the rest
Mine is in pebbles and a ceramic planter as well, how can I tell when it needs more water?
I’m not sure what your setup is

Mine is turning more brown even after watering it once a week. I also.noticed the roots seem shallow. Could that be the culprit?
Does this plant need additional humidity like my Dracena Warneckii?
Only if your space does not have typical household humidity. I’ve never had to add extra humidity for these plants.
@@tannertheplanter4213 Thank you!
Can we plant this in the ground or earth soil
Why do you always see gravel on top of the soil when you buy these?
I have the same one
What kind of water and fertilizer do you use to care for lucky bamboo? Is distilled or purified water o.k.? Does lucky bamboo really need fertilizer?
All these questions were answered in the video? Did you actually watch it?👀
Distilled is actually better
Mine is becoming yellow from the bottom and its in water , what should I do to save it ?

What if they’re in glued rocks
do your best to take them off, if the roots don't have room to grow the plant will die
How old is your plant :0 ?
I have lucky bamboo that's years old.
I have one as big as yours and needs to be repoted... I really don't know how to do that 😮😢
