    Did you have to get that engineered? I had to take my crack to a ticketed welder/ repairer as i was told it would not pass the blue slip- which is the slip we need in Australia to get a vehicle registered.

    If the shock pins face backwards, it makes sense as it allows more room for the on the wheel hand brake or e brake cable setup off the newer cruiser rear axle's... This is where I went wrong when fitting the newer 78 series axle etc!

    If only there was a way to sneak plate through the holes to weld in on the inside for stealth fix, probably not enough room to get the welder in there either. Great fix and video! I’ve been playing with my 220v glue stick to get my rusty 40 somewhat road worthy. Initially scary, but I figure more steel is better than less.
