Doesn't she fly literally at the end of the first movie? When she sees the red skies (I guess when Doomsday broke out) she leaps out the balcony or whatever, and flies?
Maybe it's difficult or something. Superman can just fly anywhere he wants, and heat vision people from space. Why does Superman ever walk? That doesn't mean every other character who _can_ fly has to do it as easily as he does, does it? She stops flying in this to swing on some lighting bolts, then resumes flying, I think it was just for silly style points but maybe she needed a rest.
She could have made that bat ship invisible back in JL so their enemy wouldn't even able to detect them at all instead of having batman doing all the heavy lifting.
Think about it properly, in the first Wonder Woman it was mainly set in WW1 when she hadn't learned to fly yet. In Batman Superman, where do you think she came down from when she landed in front of Batman to save him? There is no other scene in that movie where she's needing to fly. Same in Justice League, just because you don't see her fly doesn't mean she couldn't fly, there were no scenes in that where Wonder Woman flying was relevant. She might fly in the Snyder cut though who knows.
I heard this movie was mediocre and as a result didn't care to watch it. But now hearing it is THIS bad I think I HAVE to watch it just to know for myself ^_^

The first Wonder Woman and Aquaman are still phenomenal
and David F Sandberg, Shazam was delightful and a perfect mix of fun and serious.

First half is a slow paced origin story instead of a sequel. Second half is a superhero movie. The two halves don’t mesh well. The side characters are over the top and overact, like in the mall scene the robbers and onlookers were cartoonish. The rom-com segment to were cheesy. The second half’s action delivers but it’s not enough. It’s a disjointed mess. All the random dudes on the streets or at parties are portrayed as gawking rapists-in-waiting. It’s just not a good movie and has so many unexplained plot holes.

I completely respect Joe getting that money, but Bloodstained is a FANTASTIC game.... on PC and Console.... The mobile port is pretty bad. It has very poor controller support. You can use a xbox controller (like I did) or whatever and it will controller the char, but anything to do with a menu has no controller support. So you have to switch back and forth between touch and controller. Performance is also quite poor. I can run a game like Genshin Impact at 50-60 FPS on med-high settings. Bloodstained struggles to maintain 30 FPS, even on lowest settings, downscaling, etc. This is on a Snapragon version S10+, but I have a friend with a Galaxy S20 Ultra and it runs the same for them. I haven't seen the game get any updates since release either. I know it's holidays, but I have a bad feeling the devs (netease) are just going to abandon it.

It originates as a comic strip lesbian joke and Bechdel is the name of the artist. Its fine and all, but I feel people take it way to seriously.

At first, I thought the movie was self aware of how corny it was and it was leaning into the 80’s style. As the movie went on, it was clear it wasn’t self aware and it became another absolute face-plant by DC. Every part of this movie is mind-boggling. Just...wow.
Yeah I gave it the benefit of the doubt thinking "Okay probably gonna poke fun at the concept of Wonder Woman and use some 80s clichés for comedic relief". Maybe have Avengers endgame amounts of humor since it did well with no problem. I feel kinda scammed.

Maxwell didn't exactly wished for infinite wishes. He essentially wished to become the genie, and it has a cost to himself. He can't just wish for anything willy nilly, he has to trick other people to make wishes, and he has to do it a LOT because everyone gets only one wish.
In the 80s sequels were usually not as good as the first movie.... WW 84 successfully captured that feeling!! Genius!!

@@panduvandal @Die - Hearts - Rogue Squadron is being directed by Patty Jenkins, the same director as WW1984. Though to be fair doesn't look like she is the writer on that film, so maybe there is still hope.
@Robert Dunn Well she has only directed 3 movies so 1:2 isn't a stellar track record. But to be clear I never stated she was a bad director. Like I said she was also the writer on WW1984 so maybe that is where it faltered. She is not the writer on RS so hopefully she be able to shine when not taking on multiple roles. Regardless, any director coming of such a mess of a film is gonna have some loss of confidence from the general audience, and that was my point.

When he started modern jet plane and he exactly knew how to do it, I was like "WHAAAT???"
Let's just say he was lucky. What really got me is when WW made the jet invisible, he said invisible jet. He would not know what a jet is or that word. I did not like that scene at all.

Big Pun not just that they stole a fueled up jet from a museum that apparently had an active runway and ATC. Not only that he took off on a jet with only bi plane piloting experience. Or how making the plane invisible somehow made the radio waves not able to bounce off the jet. And let’s not even talk about how they made it there with one trip even tho these jets can fly for half an hour tops before refueling. To make it worse that whole scene was pointless because the guy Chris pine is trapped in should have a passport and would be able to take a standard flight lol
Why does DC knock it out of the park when they do animated movies and shows but live action the ball rolls off the cliff into the middle of an erupting volcano.
I'd say they did really good with the shazam movie but other than that I've been disappointed with the dceu
I mean they have had some live action successes (The Dark Knight, Joker) and some animated failures (Harley Quinn series, Batman vs. Robin), but... overall... you’re totally right 😂 it’s like the less DC gets involved, the better the finished product
It's because the animated movies Actually have people involved who care and more importantly KNOW about the characters. The movies are just directors trying to "make it their own" and changing everything the characters are.
Shazam and Aquaman were good cause the directors had respect for the source material. Joker was good because the director, yes, changed the joker, but who he was at the core still existed. I have high hopes for The Batman cause Reeve seems to understand the character.
In short, DC needs a Kevin feige who has reverence for the source material.
A substantial amount of DC adaptations don't care about the source material be it animated or otherwise. Some of them receiving the most praise.

How do you make a 80s movie without a single 80s song?
As someone who is tired of 80s pop songs because they are all overplayed, i didn't mind

this movie felt more 80's than any other movie because of that, no teenagers wearing the latest 80's trends or 80's pop music. it's like the whole world wasn't like that hollywood

Nope, in the 90's the movie would have been acknowledged as a masterpiece.
The thing is, the clichés and things that used to work back then doesn't work today.
That's why a lot of part in the movie made me cringe, because they are not made for today's standard (wich is a STUPID choice I think).
No it wont! In the 90s, the film Ghost was a hit. Whoopy Goldberg had sex with Demi Moore while the viewers can see it was Patrick Swayze. So Wonder Woman made love to a guy but we can see it was Chris Pines. But this guy was a random stranger who robbed of his life and was raped by Diana. In the end, they met and he had no idea, Diana was smiling because she had him in bed.
In the decade where Batman & Robin got a theatrical release? Pretty sure it would've too.

@@javieremoya I agree that the lesson is valid. The issue is that this part is a flash back in a DC movie.
At best it's hypocritical, do as I say not as I do. It wouldn't be an ex-con, but an active criminal giving the lesson. I'm not saying all of society are children (though an argument could be made with my generation), but they tend not to take lessons well from hypocritical figures.
So continuity wise it just doesn't land. I think the only time that has landed in comics is specifically Marvel's Daredevil where Matt Murdock's dad was ALMOST a hypocrite and ALMOST threw a fight and got killed for it.
It could be argued that many of the ladies of Themyscira paid with their lives at the beach for the lying, but that's a bit of a stretch since the one's that died and the ones that full on lied weren't the same women.

I feel like Patty Jenkins always hated that Synder casted a non-american Wonder Woman. She has a hard-on on Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman and she pushed on an 80s settings even though the story doesn't make any sense.
