      i respect the fact that he said his emotion didnt effect his performance here and now he says the exact opposite. I also respect the fact that he thought jones was disrespectful for assuming he could outwrestle him, yet he then says he can beat and dominate everyone Jones has faced. Most importantly, however, I respect the fact that watching him cry gave me an erection

    DC is such a good guy, so polite , so earnest, a true hardworking and good man. he s an olympian who has represented america, and is a beloved teammate to other top fighters. To see him treated by the masses as the heel- to be booed, while jones is cheered is some strange shit. maybe because he s not as handsome or tall and good looking at jones, i don't know. i don't understand why people side with one person over another, but if u look at it- jones has done everything in his power to be a bad dude, while DC is the opposite. but nevertheless he is the heel in this- u gotta feel bad for someone like that.
    havent we all been in that position? where u do everything right and yet the world doesn't open up to u , while some douchebag with a smile passes u for that promotion, for the job, for that girl? ? i think people should take a closer look at DC- they'd see a true olympian and great ambassador for the sport. like jones too- but DC is worthy of some love.

    Much respect to Daniel Cormier. Before the fight he spoke on how he was goin to win and become the new champion. After his lose, he didn't say he felt cheated or that the fight was closer than it was scored. He did not complain. As a grown man, he simply accepted that he lost, gave John Jones hid due respect and plainly admitted that John Jones was the better fighter tonight.

I almost shed tears myself during the post fight conference. However, people need to understand that he did talk up a big game before the fight, and Jon isn't exactly the bad guy that people seem to need all of the time. I'm more understanding of the competitive nature of the fight game and the psychology behind it.You must get inside of your opponents head, especially on that mental level. That being said I've gained volumes of respect for Daniel; in defeat he held his head,gave his victor all kinds of accolades and accepted his lose with dignity. He really humanized himself with honest commentary about the match. Daniel represented himself more than well on all levels in this mano-a-mano. Daniel Cormier is so intelligent, and a ton of respect for his ability to break everything down like that, Daniel Cormier is a real man and a professional of the highest caliber. in my opinion, Daniel Cormier is not only the best light heavyweight champion, but also the best champion the ufc has ever had. He not only is the most well rounded fighter in the division and top class in both striking and wrestling, but has some of the best cardio as well. and aside from that knows the game as good or better than just about anyone, and aside from maybe dominick Cruz is one of the best at breaking down and analyzing the fight game. • @VitalYFZ
      @VitalYFZ Před 9 lety +2

      jokatech That's not even remotely true LOL. Every human can become ripped and DC needs to get serious about his strength and conditioning and more importantly, his DIET. What Mike said is spot on, DC needs to get his cardio in check and it would have been a different fight. Diet is very hard but if you take it seriously it will reward you. Train like these guys train and never put anything in your body other than chicken/turkey and vegetables and watch what happens.

      JJ is a respectful fighter most of the time - in the fight, JJ initiates the gloves touch which DC hesitantly accepts. JJ dislikes DC because DC started talking shit to him. Watch his interactions with other fighters, instead of selectively watching JJ 'being a dick'

      Maybe it's because the league is called "The Ultimate Fighting Championship" and not "The Ultimate Well-Mannered Championship". I couldn't give half a fuck about what they do outside the octagon. I never paid for that shit, I paid to see MMA fighting, so how good they are at that is all that matters to me.
      Everything else can be manipulated, slandered, twisted, sugarcoated, biased, etc. The whole story is never completely put on the table, whether its good or bad. What is undeniable and fully on display is what happens in the octagon.
      This goes for any sport. I respect Jones as an athlete and MMA fighter. I don't know Jones the person. I respect Michael Jordan as an athlete and player, I don't know the person. I respect Floyd as an athlete and boxer, I don't know Floyd the person. All three of these guys are apparently assholes as people, but I paid for the service they signed up to provide, they don't owe me or any other fan a "great personality".

    Daniel Cormier is a great fighter, respectful and insightful in defeat, that's classy and smart.
