4TaktRollerNeinDanke Same and Captain Slow (James May) didn't strip his motorhome out since he used it's stove to cook a meal for himself which is from 2:50 to 2:55. I would say Hammond should be used the stove and bed on his motor home then strip it apart

All fine, but I think of one way of improving this - the motohomes should each tow a caravan. This not only increases the spectacle, but also gets rid of motorhomes AND caravans at the same time.

Towing a van has been done by the Top Gear crew going Hammond and tongs. The mayhem has to be seen to be believed! You'll piss yourself laughing over the driving! Note, this has become a speedway "sport!"

I like to watch top gear better than professional racing because, they race things that you can own or already have in your driveway.
Yes. I’ve got a Ford motorhome in my driveway. With a 460 V8 that lots of muscle cars and luxury cars used to have.
I don't care who's the winner, whoever can make a pie in their car will have my unconditional support (even if that someone is James May).

Of all the vehicles I have ever owned a little 19ft RV was the one I valued the most. It could do anything and all your stuff was with you everywhere you went. You could even take a shower, go to the bathroom, shave, have dinner, take a nap, tow a boat or a trailer full of building supplies, hang out inside with your friends. Anything. It was great.

For those who were wondering, the song starting at 0:36 is called "Pump Action" by Matt Backer. Currently there is only 1 video of this song on CZcams and took me years to find.
Something about the understated humor amidst cut-scenes of overt pandemonium got to me during that race, I simply couldn't stop laughing the whole way. Smashing stuff.
They do three or so more races with the touring car stars. They are all fantastic; I can't stop laughing.

Awesome race! I was expecting one of the American motorhomes to win, however.

American motor homes go for torque to pull trailers.
At least Hammond's got 3rd, but I was not expecting much considering its a Ford Midas. It only has a V8 it doesn't have the Ford Triton V10.

This has to be my favourite Top Gear sketch of all time! I nearly wet myself over the continuous crashes - Hammond is certainly right in saying the "no contact rule" needs a tweak! Arena Essex is also quite near to where I live to, which is a bonus!

The rules are you must strip everything from the motorhome but also that you must be able to drive it home. Wouldn't it be more fun if you could leave everything inside so you could race it and then still be able to use it as a motorhome?
