Passive Perks: Sweet Tooth, Strong Arm, Unstoppable
Active Perks: Iron Will, Heightened Senses
FYI: I used Shield Battery Booster because I don't really need to shoot anything during the entire run. It's purpose is to quickly recharge my shield so I can tank enemy hits.

CORRODED PLATEAU
Stage 1: The fastest of all 3 stages. Pretty simple stage but a lot of things can go wrong. We had to be precise when throwing the pheromones as the enemies can bunch up on the mule legs or the organic matter, making it impossible to mine what we need to. Additionally, there's a chance for numerous Grabbers to spawn on this stage which happened frequently. So frequently, in fact, that most of us had to turn on heightened senses. The most challenging part of this stage was probably getting a full squad to clip through the bottom of the drop pod. Quite often one player would get bounced out and the entire run would be reset.
Stage 2: This stage was made easier with Rocky Mountain beer - making the terrain one-hit. The only real challenge for this stage was trying to manage all 9 items to deposit and keeping the enemies off the minehead.
Stage 3: This was a bit of a spaghetti cave - with only one egg being visible from the main cave. The biggest challenge for this stage were the deep scans. Snoop had to mine through the wall to connect his scanner, and oftentimes Elite Praetorians would come say hi. For Nova, the scanner kept glitching making it impossible to place down a connection point. You can actually see this happen in her perspective.

@@nobody-iw8lo probably at least 50, but most of those were 1st stage resets if something went wrong. Rarely went through all 3 stages

@@squareball7017 Our previous time was 8 minutes 11 seconds but the WR at the time wasn't by us and was 8 minutes 9 seconds. We were trying to get sub-7 to make our time even stronger, which yeah when we failed to it presented as disappointment. Still, over the course of our attempts we improved the WR by more than a minute when in the past others would improve it by a few several seconds

@@qwp1884 it happens when you sprint at the same time as using the grapple. If you let go of shift just before and during a grapple, it should work every time (at least from my experience). Still annoying though

Reminds me of when I used to try and milk every zombie for as much points as possible in cod. It’s funny how the more experienced we get the more we realize the little things we used to do to try and maximize didn’t actually matter.

Stage 1/3 i was like damn these guys are fast at collecting eggs thats impressive, until i remembered that theres always a second objective. You also build two mini mules. Thats insane.

@Dualities ngl I bought it for myself and a friend and we played a few rounds then decided to ask for a refund because it is very overhyped. It is a really good game and very well made but it is just not the most entertaining, and the content is focused around very similar missions.

That's pretty much all I've done for the past 2 years. I love the seeded maps and being able to try different routes. By far my favorite aspect of the game!
@@benicopter just from watching this video i can totally understand how much enjoyment you can get out of this aspect of the game. my friends and I aren't very experienced in this game yet, but I'm sure that we will give this a shot at some point (and not even come close to a world record).
@@mistadude Awesome! Let me know how it goes! The WR is completely dependent on the missions (which are random). I think I calculated at roughly a 1/100 probability that a deep dive with have missions to contend with a WR time (no time-gated missions like Escort Duty, Salvage Operation, etc). Since they update weekly, that's about once every 2 years.
The last record was just over a year ago. So it's more of a waiting game than anything.
@@benicopter ah that makes sense. knowing my luck i'd be incapable of playing the game on the week of the best seed ever XD. if anything we'd just be doing weekly speedruns for each specific seed not trying to contend for a total WR. congratulations to you and your crew on this accomplishment really impressive stuff man!

It’s by far my favorite aspect of the game. The planning, routing, and class building to fully optimize a run. I’ve been doing it for a couple years and I feel like I still learn something new each time

how many runs does it take to route and perfect a dive like this?
It probably takes just a few runs to get the routes down. The difficult part is fine-tuning the routes and minimizing errors. Something as simple as getting grabbed by a Grabber can derail the entire run. It may only cost us 5 seconds of time, but that is a huge difference when we're going for such a fast time.
I would say we had roughly 50 runs. Most of those are resets in the 1st stage. If we didn't get under ~46 seconds when pressing the button, it would be an immediate reset because there's almost no way to make up the time on the later stages.

Our goal was sub-7 minutes and we really really wanted it. To get so close was disappointing in the moment, but reflecting on it we’re proud of what we accomplished. We had planned on trying again Wednesday night before the weekly reset, but unfortunately Ryeor’s internet was out the entire night and we couldn’t run at all.

Most of us just have quality of life things on. The major mod we had was the beer selector since we needed highland to mine. And we spent a couple hundred barley bulbs.
Yeah the only mods I ran were more FOV and the mission timer.
