This guide will show you how to get the perfect relic. To get the perfect relic, you will need all gems with no death. To get all gems, you will need all crates/boxes, the hidden gem, 80% of the wumpa fruit, and 3 deaths or less. Each level has an N.Verted variant where all crates/boxes are the same, but the level is flipped with a modifier, and a different location for hidden gem.

Ervin Abrahamian I think so too. Been having trouble getting a perfect relic in Crash Landed for a few days but did it in one try as soon as I woke up this morning. Now in Toxic Tunnels and stuck trying to get a perfect relic again. :(

This one is definitely one of the hardest.
I also spent a lot of time in Rush Hour - the last series of jumps over flying cars ruins your perfect run if you're not precise enough. And the level is long!
This level has made me take like a 9-10 month break from the game. Now I’m back to try and finish getting my N.sanely perfect relics
Trust me, after you finish with the horrible N.sanely perfect relics, the time trial are way easier and quicker to get.

@@TheGreatMuncheez the crates are that makes stages longer and in getting then we end up killed. Time trials u can just speed and leave crates behind and skip gems and bonus points way faster

A tip for the enemies that ride carts, you can kill them and eventually they'll stop spawning, they go in a circle

I struggle with the second section the most. There's just so much chaos between the karts (which can kill you by themselves BTW), the enemies, and the toxic liquid.

As always, this is an excellent guide by Maka. He's my hero! I would like to offer 3 alternative suggestions for a few of the trickier spots:
2:10 mark - rather than sliding under the electricity and then immediately moving back left, I find it much easier to simply crawl under electricity to the very edge, stand up, and slide jump across the gap from there. You won't be touched.
4:45 mark - I've found it easier to wait for the swinging electric bar to head right. I then slide jump toward the tnt crate, but land on the edge to the left of it and immediately duck. The electric bar will swing left over you. Then just hop on the tnt crate and catch a ride as the bar swings right again.
5:00 mark - The infamous bouncing crate. For this, hop onto the fire seesaw platform on the right and double jump thru the gap at the top of the tnt crates. Now we only have to deal with the bouncing crate once and, hopefully, we held onto our mask
But here's the best part. To my eye, it appears that it takes the bounce box a sec to reach full speed. So trigger the tnt and position yourself just far enough to the right to avoid it. As soon as it blows, immediately run left and short jump (if timed correctly, the box should just be bouncing up for the first time as you short jump). I can't say it is 100% full proof but I never gotten hit by the box once I learned this. Hope this helps. Great Vid, Maka. You're the man.

@@neilmiranda6739 I know the feeling of a burn out. Have you heard of the bug where Crash automatically deletes your save file? Mine happened to me a month ago (I had perfected 35/38 levels) and had 50hour play time! A month later and I am determined to start from scratch - you could probably say I'm stupid but it'll keep me busy till Thursday!
Tip for the bonus: the game is very clever in reminding you that if you spin as you land, you won't jump on the metal arrow boxes (this is the first box you break in the bonus). The bonus gets massively easier if you just do the same at the final metal arrow box instead of trying to make the jump missing the Nitro.
I'm very glad that this mechanic is still present. I abused it all the time back in the ps1 xd

Alot of people don't know there but if you spin as you land on a Iron bouncing crates it cancels the bounce and you can stand stand on it. This makes the bonus level easy.
Maka: this is easiest part of the level.
Me: I was at 38 deaths before I passed that part lol

1:07 - I don't know if this has be mentioned before, but just in case it hasn't, there's a extra life box + golden wumpa fruit behind those 4 nitro boxes. You just have to be extra careful. That'll bring you to 41 crates by the time you reach the 1st checkpoint of this level.

i think nobody would know because when the nitro explode, they also destroy the box

The perfect relic for this stage looks bad enough to make someone swear off video games forever.
This level made me quit the game for about 5 months before finally coming back to it today. But today was finally the day that I had success. Thank you for this and all the other incredible guides to this game!
Just got the insanely perfect relic! Thanks Makka for your help. I would say by far the hardest level in the game..actually in ALL the crash games!! For anyone struggling with the fast bouncing box, best thing to do is tap the jump button at the exact moment boxes meet at bottom, and at the same time slam the direction stick hard left for duration of jump. There’s a similar fast bouncing box in bonus level you can practice on.
Ive just managed to get the perfect relic and ive figured out a simpler method were you can pass the bouncing box on the yellow gem route everytime first try....
When you arrive at the location don't just jump off the rotating platforms and detonate the tnt boxes. If you look first you'll notice a body sized space between the stack of boxes and the ceiling above it. So jump off the platform and go through this gap to the otherside and when yav collected the boxes and fruit detonate the tnt and obviously stand out the way of the explosion. The very very second after the explosion finishes you have a brief moment to jump through before the box drops and starts bouncing like crazy.
This strat is really easy to pull off. Thanks!

I was thinking about that when watching this video for all the boxes. Didn't try it out yet, because I didn't want to go for the perfect relic.
I need to get everything inverted first and then I'll go clean up the rest..

Hey know future tense from crash 3? I missed the 8 hidden boxes at the beginning
Not sure if this has happened to anyone else, but the box at 7:49 seems to be glitched. If you die once after reaching the next checkpoint, that box will spawn back. And you end up with 272/273 boxes. I was following the guide step by step just to notice i was missing a box. I backtracked all the way back to that place and the box was there.
Replayed the level 3 times, and the same thing happened.
That’s the type of thing that makes me want to stop playing all together
I find this level very frustrating especially the multicoloured gem path. During the yellow gem path, there’s a TNT that’s the most difficult to destroy because of an electric swinging thing that’s in the way.
Anyone else played back some levels that they've got the nsane on an thought ...how the fuck did I even do that 😂

Is it possibly the one in the red gem path? Its sitting in the lava after that first leap with a swinging post. In this video he just spins the rat into it but I've found the rat doesn't always take it out and I've missed it.

Funnily enough, the boxes in this level are actually pretty straightforward and easy to find, save for the four at the very beginning. It’s just easy to miss a few of them when you’re so focused on...well, not dying.

Oh, and here's a trick I found just today on CZcams that made the part at 5:05 a complete piece of cake:
Instead of breaking the box and activating the tnt, jump over the tower, collect the wumpa fruit and then carefully jump diagonally towards the screen while trying to stand atop the arrow crate. If you do it correctly, you will be standing right at the edge of the arrow crate. Slide to the left and there you go! Now you've broken the box and the tnt is activated but you have skipped the painful jump over the falling crate! Now go for the hidden gem and complete the level. You can do it!
Took me 6 hours to beat this level 😂 Thank you so much for your guide! Really helped me through the gauntlet and the tricky platforming bits later on 😊

Ty for the good guides. Going for perfect relic will take some time.. got a easy tip of you found Makas way a bit hard, it's on the first electricbeam on the Green elevator. Instead of sliding and jumping and have good aim, just jump and press Crash against the wall above the beam and then release your joystick. Now you are as close to the beams as you can, then just do a slide jump . Easy and you don't need to do any precision slide jumping
Tip - at 9:58 if you spin the rats on the carts (2), they no longer will keep coming with rats on them

By the way, in this video, At every checkpoint, the boxes you showed us were one less than what they should have been.
At 4:57 you could carefully double jump off the moving platforms and go over the metal boxes and tnts. It would save one jump through the bouncy boxes and the first bounce right after the tnt has exploded is slow allowing more time to jump through.

Just gonna throw it out there that the game gave me a checkpoint after completing the gem vault. I expertly managed to die on the first nitros in that area, but I got reset on the platform outside the vault with all the boxes from the gem path still collected.
5:00 lol you can jump next to the falling iron crate just get closer to screen (camera) until you feel the invisible border, then jump easily the iron crate wouldn't touch you

If anyone is struggling with 80% wumpa at 1:09 behind the 4 stacks of nitro is a golden wumpa crate so you will be at 41 crates at the first Checkpoint
Literally spent about 6 hours straight today trying to to do that bloody Gem Gauntlet, and went on to complete the level and smashed 271/273 boxes, going again tomorrow to try and get the 2 i missed😂

The fast bouncing part of the penultimate section of the Gem Route is so difficult to overcome without dying that I kept sacrificing Aku Aku to do so, deciding that doing so is better than waiting for the perfect timing (though one time I did overcome it without dying).
Yeah it’s very lucked based. The rest of the level isn’t too bad once you’ve learned the level but I feel there is no learning the bouncing part :(
Honestly I did this too. I could never get the jump to work consistently, and I only succeeded like 30% of the time in around 9 hours on the level. The most bs jump in Crash history imo.
For the 5:25 crate - i think it makes more sense to jump ON the grey crate. You can use the crouc+double jump to make sure you get on top of it

I'm 1 box short at the end despite having 225 at the last check point. I must have triggered a nitro or something to knock me of synch, got every box on the last section too. Damn. Through it again now.

Also on the bonus level it makes it easier if you spin right as you land on that metal bouncy box to avoid being bounced into the nitro. Once you do that you can slide and jump over to the end platform.

Honestly I almost screamed cause I fell into the pit before hitting the next checkpoint after the hidden gem 💎 room! But thank the programmers that it saved my place with 114 crates still! 😓
Despite the constant fails in the gem route and some silly mistakes. I managed to get the perfect relic.
Some things I did different to this run was: Crouch jump from the platform with nitros and the rat. I always reach the swinging pole this way.
Perform a sorta glitch trick on the bouncing crate near the end of the yellow gem route. You have to keep jumping at a certain angle and the game will think you are standing on the edge of a crate. Then slide past the wooden crate and reach the other side as the tnt start counting down.
Lastly I cleared the rats out of the mines after beating the bonus round. Makes that section way easier.

Definitely one of, if not the hardest level in the entire game. I must have died/failed at least 50 times before i got it.
10:00 What I do for here is that I stay in that back area as the carts go by and when the ones with the rats are approaching, I double jump onto them and I spin them away as I'm landing on them, clears up all the carts to make things easier.
Thx for showing the crate counts! I'm going crazy! I'm missing 1 BOX afaik and I already checkpointed myself with the bonus so I can't really go back. NGGGHHH!

Amazing. I'm doing this level now. I keep dying at the vicious bouncing metal crate at the end of yellow gem path. Got any tips for that? Like where to stand. I actually jumped so far I fell into the water after the TNT exploded.
@@meraclechamlotte9291 literally as soon as the falling iron crate touches the bouncy iron crate, immediately jump and you should be able to move on. But, don’t long jump, just a quick click of the jump button.
@@stormtroopertk-421 ok thanks. I actually used another method now. Stand next to it while pressing down on dpad so you are towards the screen as much as possible. Jump to the left while holding down on dpad throughout the whole process.

5:00 if you still need help I got you
Just like him, jump on top of the metal box to get past it, but what I did was jump before I blow the tnt crates up. So go on the fire pedestal after the flames die down (obviously) then jump over the metal crate and get the 4 bouncy boxes.
After that is done there’s one of two choices. A) if you have a mask just jump and spin into the tnt boxes, you’ll lose your mask, but you won’t have to time the jump and die. You’ll already be back on the other side. B) if you don’t have a mask to spare, go ahead and hit the bottom box, and do what he did. This is tricky. (I did option A, so I don’t have any advice for option B, sorry) good luck and play on brother.
Yellow Gem Bouncing Crate Strategy:
1) Slide from the top of the flame platform *over* the stack to enter the wumpa fruit area. Collect everything and trigger the tnt’s to blow the stack.
2) Set Up: While remaining on the ground, walk crash left into the arrow crate. Then, pull the stick diagonally down and left so he walks toward the camera into the corner of the box. Don’t worry, an invisible wall is preventing him from walking off the edge, so get real snug.
3) Now that you’re wedged in the corner, hold the stick left.
4) At the instant the box bounces, do a tiny jump. (You can use the audio cue of the box bouncing to help time it. I do a few practice taps before sending it. tap-tap-tap-GO)
5) don’t jump straight off the edge once you make it through!!! (You will, but don’t, but you will, but seriously don’t)
The part at 5:10 in the end of the that section where you have to time the jump through the bouncing metal crate… I found an easier way. Keep a mask to that point and then jump over the whole stack then on the way back jump spin right through the tnt and you’re all set

Honestly, I'd much rather have this level than the polar bear, alien riding, or that chase scene where you're trying to catch up to Cortex as he flies away. All of those sections feel like you never have full control and if you miss a box you can't go back for it. Here I can stop and afk if I have to.
Fuck this level... i gave up once you said that theres no check points in the GEM levels. I just completed it with no boxes or fruit...

4:55 - For those, like me, who struggled with the jump at the end of the yellow gem, there's a more consistent way to do it. Carry your mask to that part, use the moving platform right at the top of its pattern to slide over the metal crate so you're on the other side. Once you're in, get the fruit, smash the 4 crates and spin through the TNT. You'll land on the other side. Keeping the mask isn't easy, but it's much easier than the stupid jump required.

oh my god this level was pure hell!!! i have finally beat this shit after months of trying. i swear on my final run after the bonus level, i was pausing the game in every section to check it out in this video to make sure i didnt screw this up. jesus, i would not suggest this level to my worst enemy

This level kicked my ass and was bullshit the first time I played this game. I did everything perfectly but accidentally got fucked up by the very last bat because of the shitty depth perception. But after practice and when you already have the relic the level is alright. I already have 106 percent and I like to revisit this level and go for the N Sane relic again.
If anyone still looking. An alternative way to get through the fast metal crate. If you can keep the mask, Jump over the boxes the first time without breaking the wooden box. Spin jump your way through the TNT on your way out. It burns your mask. But it's a LOT easier than timing the jump through the metal crate

This level is at least fair. This is a great example of practice makes perfect. On the other hand you have annoying hitboxes on the bear levels. And one slight direction change can cost you the perfect relic. I mean it's so easy to fuck that level up again and again xD

ProTip at 10:20, if you take out the rats on the train they will stop spawning so it will be easier for you to get through
5:25 or u just jump over all of those boxes destroy the jumpy crates first and then destroy the one that holding TNT wait for them to blow up and jump right after it because the heavy bouncy block kinda wait a second... so u dont have to time anythjng

The hardest level for me was crate escape, however this one is beginning to frustrate me as I am on the 100 death mark 😤
This has been the closest I’ve ever been to breaking a controller since I was 14.
Update: Broke my phone with a sledgehammer, however I stopped halfway through venting my frustration due to a alarming concern for the concrete underneath, which I thought I was breaking, so I stopped, now I’m just tired, irritated, and just fed up with the game, and currently thinking whether to just uninstall the game, and delete it even though I’ve spent so many hours getting to this point, and supposedly one level away from beating this game.
You only need to do that jump once in the yellow section by sliding over the metal box while on the flame tile
I will take a break after getting all the gems and platinum flash back tapes. Im burnt out
You do this perfectly and I don't even have ONE freaking gem from this level yet! Respect man!
Got the N Verted hidden gem on this a few days ago. My first gem from Toxic Tunnels. I'm done with this level.
EDIT: Ok, just snagged the flashback tape today. Now I'm happy. But I still hate this level!

Tip: after getting the hidden gem if you die before the checkpoint you'll respawn at the entrance to the gauntlet with all your boxes
